This place DOUBLECHARGED my credit card. I am currently going through the arduous process of getting refunded for one of the charges. Please be aware that you may be double charged(especially if you are a young person) if you eat here. Check your credit statement afterward!

I just had their chicken curry for lunch with some rice… dayam! That was good. Im bumping their review based on that plate alone! Now back to your regularly scheduled BS… Bottom Line; A great middle of the road place to grab some Thai food We ordered lunch from these guys for our work lunch and I have to say that I was satisfied with the whole package of food that they gave us. It would have been nice to label the containers as many of the dishes do look similar to the non-trained eye, but everyone liked their food.

Food: * Pad Thai Chicken * Panang Curry Chicken *personal fav * Pad See Woo Anything * Tom Kha + Tom Yum Soup * Basil Wings * Pineapple Fried Rice(Dine-In Only unless you want them to try to pack a whole pineapple to-go) * Coconut Mango Dessert(a must try! + you’re welcome) Service: * Excellent, fast, consistent. * Call in + pick up my order more than ½ the time + have no complaints. Location: * Good for large parties — big tables + booths. * Parking along cross street of Hollister + the back lot. — Thank you for being in Old Town Goleta + not DTSB. Overall satisfies my Thai craving in an area with limited options of authentic Asian food. Pricing is not cheap… 10+ for a person!

I dropped this down half a star, making 3.5 instead of 4 because of their damn Rama chicken. I don’t know what the heck that dish was, oh yes, I do. It’s sliced chicken breast over a bed of spinach covered in warm peanut sauce. Yuck a roo. That was the BF’s order… but ya know, we shared. I got the garlic pepper squid with broccoli that was absolutely Mmmmmm. I really love their Thai iced coffee here… So good, can’t get enough. The service on Sunday was slow… Seemed there was one waitress and one busboy and they were juggling the restaurant plus takeout orders by phone. Yowwws. But, we were already in the area and our originally intended destination. The Red Pepper was closed on Sundays and so was the Phở restaurant. Shoulda coulda checked.

One of my favorite restaurants in Goleta. Everything I’ve tried so far has been really great! I recommend the chicken curry. All styles from red to yellow are excellent, but I prefer the yellow. Totally affordable also. Atmosphere is pretty good. Love this place!

Awful. I eat Thai food very frequently, and I’m not normally very judgmental, but I ordered takeout today, and the tom yum tasted like old dishwater with vegetables in it. I was hungry and I could not get myself to continue eating it. The papaya salad was equally disappointing, though more edible. Hands down, the worst Thai food I’ve ever had in my life.

Came in for lunch after 1pm mid-week. Not too crowded. Looked clean. Seated & served fairly quickly. Friendly staff. All food was served hot and in a timely manner. I ordered Larb(a ground chicken) appetizer. Asked for it to be made spicy, it wasn’t but flavor was good. Also ordered the chicken yellow curry lunch special. I was missing my potatoes and carrots. However, there were onions in it. The curry wasn’t spicy at all but yummy. Thai ice tea was good. Soup was a little different. It was basically veg soup with brown rice. It tasted decent. Salad was good.

This is the greatest place ever. The basil chicken was is AWESOME. The pad Thai is fantastic and the chow mein is awesome the best noodles EVER. I am going to go here a lot. The building needs work. But the food is fantastic. The waitresses are really nice. The price is reasonable.

We love this place. Not sure why it’s not consistently rated best Thai food in Santa Barbara, because in our experience it is, hands down. Our favorites include the green papaya salad, Tom kha gai soup, spicy basil seafood, panang beef, and pad Thai. They’ve also got the best pad see ew in SB. We’re weekly regulars – it’s that good and it never disappoints.

Service has always been good for me. I usually come for the yellow chicken curry. It comes out to be about $ 12-$ 13 each time with an extra side of rice, which isn’t a bad price since it usually takes me two meals to actually be able to finish it all. I have had better Thai food elsewhere but this place will do because it’s close by to where I work and live.

Came in right before it closed and they still served us. They were very good on service as they had us time to see what we wanted and while eating, came with water and everything. The food is exceptional, very good, probably one the best Thai place in Santa Barbara. The portion sizes are larger than average so it is possible to share with a date. The décor is very traditional, with booths and tables. The music is very peaceful. Great dining experience.

Vegetarians be aware! So I ordered the vegetarian tom yum, I asked if it’s truly vegetarian she said yes, I ate it, it tasted sort of fishy. I gave it back telling her that it does have a fishy taste. The server then said, well, it’s not real Tom Yum without a little bit fish paste. I was shocked! I’m a vegetarian since 17 years. I unfortunately found out when I’ve paid and after I also ate the veggie curry and chow mein. Maybe they also put chicken stock and fish sauce in it. Who knows? Yeah. Not going back.

You do not come here for the fine-dining experience where servers kiss your ass and make you feel like a princess. You come here to chill out and eat great, flavorful, and rich Thai food. My first time here last night with my boyfriend and my sister, I was greeted by a busy server. Apart from it being very busy for her, she still treated us with respect and attention. She made us laugh and was positive, and had a wonderful smile. We ordered the PaNang vegetable chicken curry. This was delicious, served with a side of rice. I had a small bowl of Hot and Sour soup, which is an acquired taste that I enjoyed. The basil wings were good too, as we had that as an appetizer. However, the Pad Thai = winner. The dishes were a reasonable price. I had Thai iced tea and that was wonderful, and for dessert we all shared a scoop of the coconut ice cream. I highly recommend it if you like coconut.

Moving from a place where there is at least one Thai restaurant every block, I had really low expectation coming here. If it wasn’t because of my roommate’s persistent persuasion, I wouldn’t had come because I don’t want to eat any Asian food at SB. There is a parking lot in the back and it wasn’t too packed. The restaurant itself is huge, however, a lot of the wings, including the bar, are closed. We walked into the middle of the restaurant and there were maybe 2 other groups at the restaurant. I felt hesitant to sit down but the waitress was friendly and immediately greeted us. If I came to this place when I first moved to SB, I would be shocked at the prices. $ 10 for pad thai? You must be kidding me. But since I have been to quite a number of SB restaurants now, I believe these prices are on the relatively«cheap» side. Because of my low expectations, I decided to pick a staple Thai dish and ordered pad thai. I was glad that J got snow peas and shrimp because I love snow peas but I didn’t feel adventurous. The pad thai turned out to be fantastic! It wasn’t overly salty. They didn’t skimp on the shrimp either. Unfortunately, the snow peas and shrimp dish was meh because it tasted quite bland. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised at my dish and will definitely be back to try other things on their menu.

We were thrilled with our dinner. It is some of the best Thai food we ever had. For appetizers, we had the hot and sour chicken soup. The lime, cilantro and chili flavors were amazing. The satay sticks were really good. The main courses were very different from each other. One was the pineapple veggie curry. It is sweet and coconut flavored curry. Then the spicy basil seafood dish was incredible. We decided to go with the medium spicy level. Good decision. We would not have handled it any spicier. The waitress was terrific. Very helpful and friendly. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Great food! Went as a party of 6 and the wait time was relatively short. The restaurant is warm and inviting. Their wait staff is extremely wonderful; quick attentive, respectful. The Tom Yum Seafood soup was delicious; very flavorful. The Pad See You Noodle Combo was tasty and I also highly recommend the Southern Comfort Noodles. That one was really good. Will come here again!

I was visiting a friend at UCSB and she wanted Thai food. I was warned beforehand that food around that area was Americanized but the use of the actual dish’s name on the menu gave me a false sense of hope. I can safely say I did not eat Thai food. I was born in Thailand and I’ve been eating Thai food all my life. Never have I ever came across a restaurant such as this place that they’ll try to pass off any olé stir fried dish as one of my culture. We ordered five things in total. The pat ki mao, pat see ew, gang keaw wan, yam neu, and pineapple fried rice. The pat ki mao(drunken noodle) was made with a mix of stir fry vegetables bag. The standard broccoli, baby corn, snap pea, and carrot variety. I have never seen anyone fry such a thing together with this dish. There was no basil in the dish either. The flavor itself was a bit off and with so many conflicting tastes I couldn’t find myself truly enjoying the dish for what it was supposed to be. I did finish this dish however as I was quite hungry and I hate wasting food. The green curry was downright disgusting. It was plain and watery. It should have a thicker consistency from the coconut milk. I took one bite of this and allowed my party to finish the rest. The«beef salad» yam neu was alright but not something I would willingly pay 10 dollars for. I found that the best way to make this dish is to use a thick slab of meat. The small pieces we received looked like a rat tried to chew it apart. It wasn’t sour or salty enough either. It’s supposed to have that almost tart like sensation. Needless to say this dish was finished more or less because so little was given initially. The pineapple fried rice was decent for what it was. Very cute representation however it scares me to think of whether the pineapple is ever reused. There are chunks of pineapple in the dish itself but obviously not enough to fill the hole dug out. So this really begs the question of what happens to the rest of the pineapple and if the rest of the pineapple goes into making another dish, how is that dish going to be served. Pointless conjecture really but I’d opt to have it served on a plate. This one was hardly touched and was mostly taken as to-go. It did have a weird smell after about 4 hours. I can’t say much for the pad se eww as I didn’t try it. The service itself was okay, nothing spectacularly out of the way during the meat itself. However we did forget the pineapple fried rice to go box on the table and the lady did come out to behind the restaurant to hand it to us in the parking lot. I really was going to give this place a 1 star review to note how terrible the food was but I will have to give a 2 for the after service we received.

Two Words: Meager Portions I went here today and I was welcomed by an older woman. She greeted us and gave us a choice for seating. The décor is a bit rundown and outdated. The menus felt sticky and I was starting to lose my appetite. We ordered pad thai, cashew chicken, and tom ka soup. When our entrees arrived, I felt that our portions were very small. The chicken tasted the same and had a rubbery texture. If I wanted rubber chicken, I’d go to subway and order an oven roasted chicken sub. The cashew chicken was heavily salted. Pad Thai was dry and had too much sauce and oil. When the worker came over, she asked if we wanted to order more entrées. We declined. She replied, «What! You ate so little.» Well, with those portions sizes, I definitely agree. I left with no appetite and a disturbed stomach. I should have went to Tap Thai.
