Sharp contrast to Stoney Creek Park a mile or so down Ash Street. A ton of stuff is going on here in comparison. Ten tennis courts(they look great), three shelters, a community/leisure center, a pavilion/park house, gazebo, bathrooms, and a train that operates at certain days and times. I won’t type an essay but here is the website and info on all of this: Need to host an event or gathering? The center is a great option: How to rent a shelter, the park house, or Gazebo: Certain times of year Herman Park hosts a farmers market if this is your thing: I liked a few things about this park. One was the playground was entirely shaded. It is already hot/humid this time of year. So not having the sun beat you on top of this is great. It is decently sized with several sets of equipment, swings, etc. The ground prepared around the playground is a softer mulch for obvious reasons. They do great here. The train is open certain times and only a dollar per ride(TWSS!). Worth it if you have a child that digs this stuff. The only thing this park lacked was trails for biking/running. These didn’t exist at all. But I think this park is geared more towards playing, meeting, or picnicking type stuff. It works.
