A decent breakfast. The omelet is more like a scrambled egg folded over. No espresso. Very busy, very nice wait staff. Food is that of a greasy diner and there really is no other place to grab breakfast in Golden. Please someone open some decent restaurants in Golden!

This place is a Golden gem. The service is always great and the servers are so friendly. I got the Dude and my friend got the Huevos Rancheros and both were awesome. When we paid our bill the waitress asked if we wanted coffee to go… Um yes please! If you visit the lovely town of Golden, be sure to stop by the Golden Diner.

When we first walked in, we weren’t given drinks or menus. There was trash on the floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. They kept up with refilling our drinks. I recommend it for a low-​key brunch. AMAZING FOOD!!!

I got the hobo scramble here and it wasn’t great. The potatoes were practically mashed they were so overcooked and had no seasoning. Even the veggies were mushy. The eggs and cheese were mediocre and the toast had way too much butter on it. There are far better breakfast places in Golden so I would skip this one. Most of the waitstaff was relatively friendly, although a bit strained as they were incredibly busy.

The third best plate of biscuits and gravy in the United States as well as the best in the Denver Metro area. Yes I have finally found a great plate of biscuits and gravy somewhat near where I live.
This place is a jewel. A gem. In short: amazing. The local ambience is charming. The location is ideal. The prices not very steep.
If you want the best biscuits and gravy in the greater Denver area this is it. Eat it up. You’ll be glad you did.

We ordered sandwiches, thought they were fine. Fries were hand cut, crispy, and hot. Coffee and water refills were prompt and plentiful. At the end, waiter asked if we wanted a beverage to go. They were very busy, but our food still came out in a reasonable time. Hey — seemed fine to us!

Terrible first impression! We were in this past Saturday & sadly will not be returning. Our waitress was completely in over her head. She forgot several things & never apologized once, brought totally burnt toast out to our table & then acted as if we should be thankful that she even bothered to bring it at all (ten minutes after we had already finished our meals). My mother asked for our check & mentioned as politely as possible that we were sadly disappointed & really wanted to enjoy our experience there, at that time my 1 year old son started to raise his voice which our waitress then looked at him & said «Oh yeah you go ahead & yell at me too!» COMPLETELY NOT OKAY! EVER!
When we asked for the owners information at the check out counter she proceeded to yell «Good don’t come back then, Ever!»

This place is way overpriced for what it is it is just basic breakfast food nothing special at all no seasoning very bland my mom ordered corned beef hash and all it was just hamburger and hash browns. My omelette was extremely salty with the feta cheese and my spinach had grit in it. And paying a dollar extra for toast! will never come here again and I suggest nobody else does either. Almost forgot they don’t have any kind of healthier choice either no turkey bacon or turkey sausage. This place is Suck!!! Rip off. $ 21.72 was the bill .WoW, oh and hard rock music headache!

Nice breakfast/​lunch diner in downtown. I had the corn beef hash and eggs. The hash was home made and contained onions and potatoes and was very good. I mix it up with the fried eggs to give it more flavor. My son had «the dude» which is like a skillet but on a plate covered in green chilies which is big here in golden. Both breakfasts were done very well.

This is my favorite weekend breakfast place. Great prices, straight forward diner food, and friendly staff.
They know us by name and we feel like family. Sit at the bar or at a table. If you are looking for a no frills, cheap & yummy breakfast give it a try!

I wish there had been a sign saying ‘seat yourself’ or something along those lines. I walked in and saw a few open spots but wasn’t sure if we could help ourselves, and since there is a second entrance other people came in after us and sat down before us. Someone did eventually come over to say sit anywhere.
I ordered an iced tea which tasted weak and more like flavored water.
The food arrived fast. I had the avocado and bacon omelette which was good, the hash browns were perfectly cooked with a nice crusty top. My toast was burnt.
I will say the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Really nice people and very conveniently located. The coffee was as expected for a diner (bad) and the food looked promising but was so bland that it was borderline flavorless. Tons of hot sauce and ketchup got it down the hatch as I was hungry and headed out for a day of skiing…

I went here for the first time this past Saturday. My friend and I went after Yoga on the Rocks. I’m glad I went! There are so many great choices on the menu. I can’t wait to go back and try more. I had the spinach and feta omelet. Delicious! I can see why this place gets such ratings. I will definitely go back (I need to try the pancakes and I need to try the biscuits and gravy).
The place was reasonably crowded when we went before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. We only had to wait about 10 minutes. The line was out the door by the time we got finished. The food came quickly but I didn’t get a refill on my water (which would have been nice). But overall, the service was great.
Who knows? Maybe I’ll branch out to the lunch menu the next time around!
