Not going back. The staff is rude. I was asked to pay for services while they were washing my hair. What!!! Who does that? That was a first.

Super friendly and talented staff. You will be happy with your results.
Best hair and makeup, ever. I got my makeup, nails and hair done for my wedding here, and not only did I get an amazing look, I also got some sweet makeup tips and custom foundation (additional cost, but sooo worth it). I got compliments, literally all night, from EVERYONE. Even the staff at my venue stopped to see my eyes and my makeup. My nails looked perfect (they still do). I had Pinterest boards for my hair, and Lisa looked at the concepts and totally delivered a custom look based on what I liked about different do’s. My hair looked great and stayed all night. I am so very impressed with the team here, and you will be too.
Plus, they are a woman owned local business.

Compelled to write that this was the worst «salon» I have ever been in. Extremely rude, pushy, totally unprofessional, and sub par «nail tech». Far too overpriced for services received. And talking to coworkers about a rape case she’d heard of, while doing my nails, and in front of my 8 year old son… Ugh. No words. I should have left then, rather then stay for a mediocre service, with awful customer service.

We are done with wedding week and honeymoon and I feel I need to update this review with the whole story of the montrosity that was the customer service here.
To start, I inquired about getting my girls in for wedding day, not myself as the bride. I had a friend lined up to do that and that’s my choice, not a salon ‘s. I wanted my girls in early and NOWHERE in Golden wanted to go before 9 am. I had stylists, including Audra later on, tell me our hair would wilt before pictures and the ceremony. Maybe we are weird in Iowa but of all the times I’ve been a bridesmaid we are all out of there BY 9 am ready for the remainder of the busy day. Anyway, Angie assured me they would custom time it just for the bride. Angie was always pleasant to work with.
Angie and I planned to meet one evening and I was unable to make it in, but I got a text from Audra a feel days later saying she could do whatever we needed. Wow! A text was odd but I thought «way to be on top of a scatter brained bride! One less thing I don’t miss out on from forgetting.»
So I stopped in that same day to meet with Audra. Lacking a smile I still didn’t care because I was happy to have someone get my girls in early. She was busy and I told her how many girls and what time, she said she would get them all scheduled and call or text me back to get the girls names confirmed. This was a Saturday.
The following Wednesday I still hadn’t heard and gave them a call. Audra and I spoke on the phone and it was quite odd for a few reasons.
To start, she didn’t have us scheduled. I heard her flipping pages and say «good news is we have that day open.» Hmmmm
She starts telling me she can’t go much earlier than 9 because «we don’t even open until 10 so 9 is pushing it.»
She repeatedly tried to schedule the bride and I kept having to tell her no.
She demanded to know «what are we doing with make up?» Well, Audra, WE as in my bridesmaids and I, not you, are doing our own make up. Her response? «Well the bride needs to have her make up air brushed or she won’t show up in photos. So the bride will come in at 9:00…»
ahhhhhh! So pushy! Drop it! I’m just trying to get then service from 4 girls, do you want our money or not?
More confusion went on and the call dropped. I didn’t call back, she didn’t call back, and nothing was ever scheduled. No names were given to schedule.
Two weeks later it’s wedding week. Hadn’t heard from the salon so you would guess it was moot. Well my cousin went in to get her nails done. Apparently she was late due to traffic, called to let them know, and the girl doing her nails was a bit shaky. She was really kind and offered to my cousin to have someone else help her. This is when Audra steps back in. She loudly told the other stylist «have you seen my calendar? I’m busy» but apparently still did my cousin’s nails. They got to talking and Audra realized this was one of my bridesmaids and tells my cousin she is doing hair and make up for the wedding. My cousin assures her that’s not the case. Meanwhile I’m out and about with visiting friends and I get a text from Audra: «Are we still on for Saturday?»
I felt bad, but also confused. I kindly told her no and thank you. She writes me back «Thank goodness I didn’t make the staff come in early then.» I let her know I thought that was rude and we had never scheduled anything so why should I be getting yelled at? Oh my goodness she was awful. Kept texting back and for some reason felt the need to tell me my cousin was late. Okay? So!?! She claimed she would have called me back but lost my phone number (you’re texting me honey) so she had us down for 9 am or something. I asked her to leave me alone and stop texting, 10 minutes later I get another text! I asked her again to stop and she finally did.
Just a terrible experience overall. She had no right continuing that conversation and frankly I don’t think texting clients from your personal phone is a professional idea, even though I liked it at first. And after leaving this review noone in the staff has attempted to contact me. It takes a lot for me to get upset at a business — bossing me around, texting me the week of the wedding and bothering me over and over really did it for this one. Too bad I’ll never try these services thanks to one employee.

This is a wonderful Salon in Golden. I have been going to Thompson & Company, in Denver/​Cherry Creek, Rated No. 1 in 5280 Magazine, for years. They are great, but I hate to travel for the services that NOW I can get in Golden!!! Treat yourself to an excellent experience at a salon in Golden. You will not be disappointed. Lisa-​Ann cut my hair and did a phenomenal job and at a competitive price. Love this place!
