Golden Tae Kwon DO

Been attending this school for about 10 years. Started off in middle school, which really facilitated a huge confidence boost. I was quite a shy kid to start, but Master Kim really showed me the light about showing the world your true colors. This school is a great self esteem booster and a great community oriented martial arts FAMILY center. The only time I wasn’t going to class was when I went to college. Those years I always felt I was missing out on something… I missed sparring so much. I’m back in action my body feels great. I love stretching and always look forward to hitting some late classes in the evening to release some fury. I highly recommend this place as I believe this place is truly the best. Great instructors, a great crowd, with a great range of classes for kids to adults.

My husband and I both take tkd here. Only a year for myself, but four years for my husband. Master Kim, the owner and main instructor, is kind, firm, and wonderful with adults and young children. There’s a «little dragons» class every day from 3:40 — 4:30, that has an excellent balance between learning tkd, and learning important ideas and manners.
One thing that really separates them from the rest is the retention of students. Some schools will see people through to a black belt and then the student will never come back. Here, the largest classes are the black belt classes; at an all belts class you will see about ½−1/3 of the class are black belts.
I don’t know the prices for kids; adults are around $ 100/​month I believe. Students are $ 80, and for a while, Mines students could go for $ 80 a semester.
