Rica and I went here because we were on a date, and it is by Menard’s. We got here at 2pm, so we were REAL hungry. Rica got pancakes and other assorted breakfast matter. It came with regular syrup and two fruit syrups. She went for the classic syrup. I got a soup(tomato basil) and sandwich(chicken fingers with cheese and bacon) combo. Service was good and the food hit the spot. The soup was slightly too salty, but still delicious.

I deff hate this place well atleast during after hours on weekends. Me and my boyfriend wanted shakes and pancakes at midnight instead of going to uptown diner with the crowd we wanted something low key so we decided Perkins was a great idea(wrong) We drove to the one in Plymouth on 55 as we got there it was moderate busy for 12:30 am it toke 10 mins for someone to greet us and that’s only because I coughed lol the manager sat us down and told the server to be more quickly its getting busy and the server responded with a rude tone«im trying to go as quickly as I can» and rolled her eyes(awkward) well it toke 20 mins for her to take our order and give us waters. I asked if there was shakes and she said«no more ice icream we out» so we left but we went to the one here in Golden Valley we wanted shakes bad! They sat us right down on a dirty a** booth and a server comes over and says«drinks?» we ordered vanilla shakes and right away her response was«that’s it no cokes no water?» with a rude tone I laughed at her and im like no that’s not it I want pancakes too and Irvin ordered apps(half off apps at midnight) 30 mins into it no shakes not a single water on sight I told Irvin in 5 mins I am walking out its 1:30 am ima take my fat a** to Uptown Diner. Literally when I said that we got our shakes but omfg! the shakes it was just milk and sugar basically it was like the shakes were just sitting at the counter melting I have never been so angry over shakes but I kept my cool because my boyfriend didn’t want a scene I told him«watch me go off» and he was like Cynthia don’t! Finally my pancakes came and they were delicious but my boyfriend apps was gross the chicken tenders were hard and tasted like it was from Tyson brand the cheese sticks tasted like white castles had water inside and the cheese quesadillas were more like onion quesadillas with hard edges on the tortillas. my boyfriend who was calm and collected finally snapped and said«just because its half off apps doesn’t mean half the quality as well!!» never got refills no check ins from no one the servers where in the kitchen arguing about wrong orders we weren’t the only ones with bad service people next to us the couple ordered patty melts and the cook forgot to put the meat in it ummm dude! c’mon now. we just got up and went to pay and the cashier rude young girl says«did you get a slip» me «no» cashier«okay where were you sitting» and what did you order ?? at this point I was so mad I forgot what I ordered im like I guess you don’t got your sh*t together? never will I come here again ill try denny’s next time this place used to be great but I noticed new servers and manager is on duty and the cooks I have never seen them before the staff is now horrible the only one who is great is this server named alan Martinez I think he has been there for a while!

I’ve been coming here off and on for a few years. This place rarely disappoints. Mostly, I come here for their late-night plates(sometimes dinner too). I’m glad that they are open so late because sometimes I’m in Downtown Minneapolis, and I get a sudden hunger urge. This place is not that far from Downtown Minneapolis, and it’s an easy drive there. The food and service here is excellent. The waiters, for the most part, seem well organized and know how to do their job well. Half of them are good at carrying a good conversation with me when there’s slow time. Of the ten years I’ve been familiar with this place, I’ve only had a few bad waiter instances. The food is delicious. My favorite from here is the appetizer sampler. They say«sampler», but it’s really a full meal that happens to have a few appetizers. It’s filling. As long as this place continues to have late-night hours and excellent quality service, I will continue coming here for their plates.

So, I’m in town from California. My friends and I were headed toward Taco Bell, but I really wanted breakfast for the first time ever in my life. Luckily for me, I had my first encounter with Perkins. Our server, Amanda, was super nice and helped us in a hasty fashion. We were super hungry and she promptly attended to all of our needs. My friends and I are kinda needy. We’re those people who asks for a thousand napkins and even more refills to go along with all of our special requests. We’re a very particular bunch. Everything was perfect and she spoke to us like real people instead of a robot with a fake smile who’s about to throw knives at us. Amanda made me feel like my company was genuinely enjoyed and I will be visiting another Perkins sometime in the near future.

I simply love their breakfast. Classic eggs all the way! The waiter was great. He was friendly, courteous, and prompt. Food was as good as expected, and the price is still good.

This will get the job done, but I can’t say as I’ve ever thought to myself«I NEED to go to Perkins» or «Oh man, CAN’T WAIT to go to Perkins.» My dad likes them because he can easily polish off a plate of 5 potato pancakes. I think he hypes them up to be more than they really are. He’ll be the first to admit he can’t taste things the way he used to. But who am I to tell him no? He survived cancer twice. I’m pretty sure denying him those grease circles and apple sauce would get me a one way ticket to Hell. I have issues ordering from their menu. I’ve found way too many things to not be what I was expecting and there just isn’t that much that appeals to me. I’m much more of an IHOP girl. I go to IHOP and have trouble making a decision. I guess I have trouble deciding here too. However, at IHOP it’s because there are so many things I want. Here, I just don’t know what to get because nothing speaks to me. Their loaded potato soup is lackluster. I do like that they go heavy on the bacon, but it’s missing sour cream. The chicken quesadillas are a bit tough and missing something. I tried to play it safe with a tuna melt last time and it was weirdly sweet. And my water glass is too often left empty or we’re left wondering what happened to our server and where our bill is. To add insult to injury, they keep running out of pie!

This is a 3 am after bar close review so take it as it is. We had great service. Our waiter was attentive even though the place was fairly crowded. Tremendous 12, enough said. Nobody can mess that up. It was above average and prompt. Like made within 15 minutes; which was awesome for a drunk person. Cook was on top of his shit. Left stuffed full, and although Perkins is always a little overpriced for what you get, it was good. From a drunk person’s perspective…

Open 24⁄365 that is both good and bad. If you are looking for a full meal late at night and/or are traveling through the Twin Cities this might be a place to stop. Service has always been friendly and the food is decent quality for the price. The restaurant is clean and does not have that old greasy smell so many 24-hour breakfast anytime of the day joints have. There is free Wi-Fi if you need it. The big issue like so many late night places is the customer base. Usually the typical intoxicated, loud, and foul-mouthed children of the Obama generation. Location is directly off I-394 west of Minneapolis.

Perkins is, well… Perkins! Not too much to say here. I’ve come to this one more than any other Perkins in my life. It is open 24 hours, which is really nice, so when you want some eggs at 2:00am, you know where to go! The food is, well… Perkins. You know, that bottom of the barrel, delicacies! Although, the food never really tastes that bad, the quality is pretty lacking. I guess that is what makes this place Good. or, well… Perkins! This particular location is PACKED at bar closing, especially on a Sunday night-Monday morning. And, not only has is always been packed at these times. Everyone has just left the bar to specifically come to this Perkins, so you can imagine what the diner looks like, come 3:00am! Oh well, I used to live right across the highway a while back, and I came here few times. The food was hot. The fries were fresh, which as pretty damn awesome. The breakfast menu does it for me, and the service is, well… Perkins. You really cannot expect gourmet food when stepping into one of these restaurants, although the food isn’t all too too bad when you want it!
