This festival, created by Chipotle, was a celebration of food that is responsibly raised. It was to be a journey toward a world of more sustainable, wholesome, and delicious food. The festival had bands playing at the music stage at the center of the park. There were an artisans hall, kids zone and a chefs tent with cooking demonstrations by chefs such as Nate Appleman, Amanda Freitag, and Michael Chiarello. Samples included chips and guacamole from Chipotle, Tabasco sauce, Izze juice, Earthbound Farms crunchers, and Meyer’s hand soap. Wusthof had knife skills and care at their booth. For drinks, there was a beer and wine hall. Chipotle had food tents selling gorditas, tacos, equites, and Shophouse rice bowls costing $ 5 to $ 7. Overall, the theme of the festival was very interesting. However, it was crowded. Lines? They were everywhere. The concert in the middle of the park and the crowd there hindered the ability to walk from one side of the festival to the other. Chipotle’s prices were high for these new food items. We are the guinea pigs for these new items, aren’t we? And wait in the long lines to buy it to boot!
