Great place! I have been getting my haircut here for 6 months or so and will never go anywhere else! Great people. Great atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Cute place! Convenient location and plenty of street parking. All the stylists are friendly and welcoming and very educated in their product lines. There are always fresh flowers on the wall in between their stations which is a great touch. I love that they carry products with natural ingredients and have an ammonia free hair color for those who are more sensitive like myself. I would highly recommend this salon to my friends and family!

I’d like to give a HUGE shout-​out to Meghan and the folks at Styles On Main. I was walking my dog past their door yesterday (yup, Saturday morning of a holiday weekend!) and realized how long it had been since I had had a hair cut. I poked my head in and asked if there was any chance they could take me at some point that day. Meghan said she could do it right then (even though she was obviously getting ready to leave) so I tethered my dog across the street in the shade and went back over.
At some point shortly after I sat down, one of the other stylists looked out the window and noted that my dog was kind of standing in the road (at the limit of her leash) and asked if I wanted her to run over and bring her in. My dog knew exactly where I was and proceeded to race into the salon and make the rounds, visiting all the staff and clientele to get some puppy love (98lb german shepherd puppy love, that is) and then rested right by my chair. Actually, she was probably wondering why they weren’t using the Furminator on me…
Granted, you can get haircut anywhere, especially in Gloucester. Maybe half of those will give you a GOOD haircut, and who knows how much it will cost you. But to have local business owners who are focused on their craft — whether it’s food, hair, whatever — and who have also realized that it’s really about customer service is such a joy to find.
In case you don’t feel like reading this whole review, the bottom line is, if you’re looking for a new salon, don’t want to pay a ton of money for a good hair cut, and want to be treated kindly and with respect and humor, go see Meghan or one of the other stylists at Styles On Main. I wonder if they do dog grooming…

I have been going to this salon for approximately 8 months. Erin is my stylist and I love her. Unfortunately, she is having some surgery and won’t be there for a few weeks, so I chose to go to another stylist at this location. My appointment was on a Saturday morning and I walked in to the owner’s young children yelling and playing Legos. I was asked to sit in a hair-​washing seat because the kids were playing in the «waiting» area. (Let me say that I am a Substitute Teacher and love kids). This was not what I expected to walk into. The stylists and one customer were gossiping about local people, much younger than me, but whom I know. Then one stylist started cutting her child’s hair, with lots of yelling going on. My stylist barely gave me a trim (Miss you, Erin!). $ 40 for this annoying experience and a mere trim is not reasonable. I hope these young women learn how to be professional business people! Please do some research before booking an appointment here!
