Salon Unique

I have been a client of Salon Unique for a few years now. I’m one of those notorious «call a day in advance» or «day of» and hope I can get in.
I am always happy with my hair and brows when I see Brittany, she’s the best!
Great product selection, prices are reasonable, complimentary coffee, tea and water.

After my original plans to have my hair done by a family member for my wedding fell through, I had to kind of scramble a couple of months before my wedding to find a place where my bridesmaids and myself could get appointments around the same time. My mom was referred to salon unique by a young lady who worked at the hotel she was staying at in Gloucester, and passed the recommendation along to me. I called them, and they were extremely accommodating and managed to get all of us squeezed in for the morning of the wedding, even though they were already doing another wedding party that day.
Everyone I dealt with at the salon was so amazingly nice, and they all did amazing jobs! I wish I remembered all of the girls’ names, but honestly I think no matter who you get at this salon, you’re going to be happy! Rosemarie did my hair, and even though we hadn’t done a practice session, she gave me an awesome, unique half updo that I LOVED (see attached picture)!
The two ladies who did my bridesmaids’ hair also did an amazing job, and everyone loved their styles! The whole time we were there, the lovely ladies who worked there were nice, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied!
After my hair, I was whisked away to have my makeup done. I also don’t remember the name of the woman who did my makeup, but she did an AMAZING job! She used airbrush foundation on me, which I loved and now I want to buy an airbrush system, and put some killer false lashes on for me. I always though I’d look odd in false lashes, but she really made them look natural, and they made a huge difference!
Finally, there was a little bit of confusion with my final payment. I had paid for half of all of our appointments when I booked them as a deposit, and then we were each paying for the balance of them on the day of, it got a little bit confusing. While I was away on my honeymoon, I got a call from Rosemarie saying she went back and triple checked her records, and that I had overpaid by about $ 20, so she refunded the amount to my card. I honestly wouldn’t have noticed that I had overpaid because of the sheer number of bills and charges I was paying for during that time frame, so I was super impressed that she cared enough to go back and make absolutely sure that I had paid the right amount. Super nice, super honest salon, and I’m a little bit sad that I don’t live anywhere near Gloucester, or I’d use them as my regular salon!

Came here yesterday to get my blonde turned a different shade of blonde. Less golden, more platinum… but not. So with that description, my colorist Brittany gave me exactly what I wanted. The prices are reasonable, the place is cozy and friendly (plus cupcakes) and was a really pleasant experience. I will definitely be going back.
