Simply the best bed and breakfast experience ever.
Greeted graciously at the door by the owner, it was a step back in time, marked by strong cement stairs, beautiful wood floors, and amazingly spacious room. Sleeping in #8, our room made us feel like king and queen!
Breakfast, served promptly @ 8:30, consisted of coffee, juice, fluffy quiche, bacon, croissant, and fresh fruit. Conversation at the table with other guests was pleasant. Given the atmosphere & views from our room, the price point was very reasonable.
We walked around the converted school for a few minutes once we checked out and saw even more photo ops atop the hill. Don’t miss out!

The owners have been diligent on the upkeep and brought this beautiful place back to life! Gorgeous inside and all the amenities! I stayed in the smaller room because it was just me and it was the right size, complete with electric blanket! The owner takes diligent care of guests and makes sure you have what you need — complete with breakfast! Very cool — worth the trip to Globe just to stay here!

After reading glowing reports in Trip Advisor we decided to give it a try. We had a large classroom with a very comfortable king bed. The furnishings are very period. The proprietors have really kept the ambiance of the old school well preserved in addition to some other local history. We have stayed in countless B&Bs, so comparative analysis was the basis of this review. Some things that stood in the way of an Excellent rating were: loud air conditioner which blew directly on to the sitting area (luckily able to turn off at night); small TV (not a deal breaker but not able to view/​hear from the bed); second tier toiletries (combination shampoo/​conditioner very hard on hair and glycerin bath soap); road noise and barking dog at night; breakfast that seemed a bit light compared to previous reports. OK, after the doom and gloom, did we enjoy our stay? Yes, but just did not find it living quite up to the expectations set by previous reviewers. One constructive suggestion would be to periodically remove some of the comments on the blackboard so that more recent travelers could leave messages.

Perched above historic Globe, this wonderfully restored schoolhouse is a gem. Outside, the innkeepers have created a productive garden with fruits and vegetables and herbs. These fresh ingredients make their way into your delicious breakfast. We had vegetable egg frittata, fresh coffee and a yoghurt cup. The innkeeper was nicely accommodating of our vegetarian ways, but bacon et al was at the ready for our fellow visiting carnivores.
The inside is nicely done. We had a huge room that was once the fourth grade class. Two queen beds and a twin.

My first night in globe was spent in another very cheap hotel. I could not do that again, So I called Noftsger Inn.
Thank God The owner had a room for me and my bbf.
It was huge. The whole place was. It is an old schoolhouse.
The décor is great, Super interesting. I was impressed by how much detail Mrs Noftsger has put into the place. Some of the décor was family heirlooms and I’m sure some were sought out for being wonderful period pieces.
Our huge room had one queen sized bed next to the heater, and the other was a king sized bed on the opposite end of the room. We wanted space, and we got it. There was a writing table, couch and t.v. another regular table, with 2 chairs, covered in a beautiful lace cloth.
I can’t believe how pretty everything was
The linens, were as soft as butter. There was extra quilts and throws, but even though it was cold out, the ceiling fans kept the heat circulating and they really weren’t needed, Even though there were large windows on one whole side of the room that had a really nice view of the hills and sky.
The large bathroom had a claw foot tub, and was pretty much outfitted with anything we needed.
In the morning we went down and joined several very friendly guests for a tasty breakfast. Mrs. Noftsger made bacon and eggs, fresh baked rolls, berry bread, fruit salad, potatoes, and I’m pretty sure home made jam.
There was coffee, juice and ice water.
We stuffed ourselves while we made friends!
It was hard to leave
My Bff wants to rent the room for a month, to wite a book.
It could be about how nice it was to stay there.
Oh, there was also, very many great magazines and local literature to peruse.
I can’t wait to return.

We were there for the GHS Centennial Celebration in September, and had stayed there at least once before. Very unique B&B in the setting of an antique schoolhouse. Splendid view including Sleeping Beauty Mountain. Globe is almost like a miniature San Francisco in that it is situated on a series of very steep hills and valleys.
Rosalie is a doting hostess, and your every comfort is her desire. She’s a good cook, too — her breakfasts are not to be missed! We loved the decorations and the many antiques everywhere you look.
I’d recommend visiting in the fall because the air conditioning is somewhat minimal due to the age of the building, although it’s usually cool at night.

We had a huge, beautiful room (#3), a great Fourth of July, and a really delicious breakfast. Definitely justifies the trip to the easily-​overlooked town of Globe.

I just finished a three night stay at Noftsger Hill Inn with four other colleagues as we did a tour around the Globe area for work. There is absolutely nothing I can say about this inn that is not glowing and positive in every way. The inn itself, which is a renovated school building, is a work of art. The innkeeper, Rosalie, has done a remarkable job of making this historic landmark into a warm and inviting space. So much thought and consideration put into every decoration, all of which have obviously been painstakingly collected throughout the life of the inn. Rosalie herself should be the pristine model for every innkeeper. A smile on her face during every encounter, a DELICIOUS breakfast prepared by her own hands every morning (she even checked with us months prior to our stay to see if anyone in our group had any food allergies that she should be aware of), our rooms well taken care of and straightened up each time we left for the day. Just an absolute delight and the epitome of hospitality. What a beautiful thing this couple has done for the community of Globe! I could go on and on, but suffice to say that if you are in the area, or looking for a place to get away for a weekend and be in a town where you can see the stars at night and feel absolutely welcome your entire stay, this is a place worth considering. Thank you, Rosalie, for such a wonderful experience!

One of the most charming places at which I have ever had the pleasure to stay. The setting and history alone are enough for me to want to return, the comfort and service sealed the deal. Rosalie will greet you by name and with a smile and feed you like royalty. I can’t say enough good about the «old school» b&b, Noftsger Hill Inn.

This B and B and it’s hostess are so charming! We loved this place. The rooms are enormous and so full of character. The beds are comfortable and everything is sprarkling clean! It is great to see this old building in use and in such a great way. We have stayed at many B and B’s here and in Europe and this is at the top of our list. Rosalie is a great cook, breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented in the old kindergarden room. We have plans to come back!!!

My wife surprised me by booking the large king bedroom on the first floor without me knowing anything about this place. Noftsger Hill Inn was the best experience with a B&B I have ever had. All the reviews are spot on! Rosalie is an amazing host and makes you feel right at home. This unique, inspiring place has a lot to offer. Be sure to spend some time looking around the school house at the pictures and collectibles from times ago.
Rosalie makes the most amazing food!!! That is an understatement. She has raised the bar. Too bad for all the other B&B’s out there you now have to try much harder. ALL around amazing experience. Oh and it has one more unique touch… just stay up late and listen. Maybe you will hear a bump in the night.

My quick summary: Major hotel chains could learn a thing or two from this tiny B&B.
I has the pleasure of staying here a little over a year ago. Forgive me on my slow review, I’m semi-​new to Unilocal.The owner of this B&B took an old school house & transformed it into a magical place to visit and/​or stay the night at.
My friend and I were here for a Cinco de Mayo festival fundraiser. We got a very quick tour of the place when we arrived, but we had to leave almost immediately to get to our fundraiser site. We had a quick chat with the owner, Rosalie, explaining our plans. She let us know everything we needed to get back in that night because we wouldn’t be done until late. She was very sweet person.
Rosalie take excellent care of her guests. It was below freezing that night. Silly volunteers that we were, we did not bring nearly enough layers. And somehow the owner anticipated this. She started the space heater for us in our room before she went to bed that evening, so we came back to a toasty room & warm beds. There were never two more frozen and exceedingly grateful volunteers.
The next morning I actually got to look at the room. They’re very quaintly decorated and a unique usage of space. She left the old chalkboards in there for guests to leave messages on. We had a blast reading them. And every room has its own bathroom. Hard to find with most B&Bs. She transformed the old coat closets to include claw foot tubs/​showers and installed a small sink. So cute.
Now, as wonderful as all this sounds, you must be asking yourself «Deedra, how can this possibly get any better?». And I say unto you one word… Breakfast. Rosalie cooks for her guests every morning. And I don’t mean simple eggs and toast. This is beyond your wildest dreams. She made a homemade zucchini quiche, bacon, freshly squeezed OJ, fresh cut fruit, and caramel french toast with heated maple syrup. It was so good I can tell you each item from memory over a year later. And I don’t usually like french toast. But it was so good I ate every crumb.
Our adventures into fund-​raising out there is not something I look back at with fond memories. But Rosalie’s food and going out of her way to make sure we were taken care? That’s what really sticks out. My fiancé and I look forward to going out to Globe to stay sometime in the near future. And I sure look forward to breakfast.

Okay, first of all let’s be honest. GPS doesn’t work too well, but once you can find the place — it worth it.
Probably the most unique B&B I’ve ever stayed in. Very unique being in an old school and our room had to have been at least 40×40 with a fireplace. The décor is rather unique and somewhat odd, but kitschy at the same point.
I must say the owner/​hostess Rosalie is an amazing cook, and you just wouldn’t expect this type of good homemade food. The presentation itself was very professional like we were at a Hilton, and I must say coming in from a day and smelling homemade bread cooking brought back memories of my Grandmother when I was a child.
I’d stay there at a heartbeat again.

Another favorite Arizona destination that is the perfect weekend getaway for Arizona residents, but also a fun and unique B&B stay for anyone who wants to soak in the warm nostalgia of schoolhouse days of yore…
Your bedroom is a 600 square foot classroom in this historic schoolhouse which sits atop a hill overlooking the historic mining town of Globe. Your room has huge windows reaching up to the ceiling to let in plenty of light and views. It’s lovingly decorated with antiques/​hardwood floors and there are chalkboards in each classroom where past guests have left you many messages to enjoy. The rooms are large enough that most of them have a full sitting area in addition to the sleeping area, all within one big space. Private baths feature claw foot tubs with showers.
Rosalie has got to be one of the nicest and most gracious innkeepers you will ever stay with. She goes all out to cook a delicious breakfast with lots of thoughtful details, and creates a relaxed ambience that is the perfect setting to enjoy a leisurely meal and interact with other guests around the big dining table. There are many communal spaces in this huge building and you will have fun exploring them as they are also chock full of schoolhouse related antiques and details. Rosalie has assembled a great collection of Arizona historical reading material as well as contemporary magazines, this is another place where you could easily check in and never leave the premises if you wanted a quiet weekend to relax.
There are many interesting attractions within a short drive, including historic downtowns of Globe, Superior and Miami (great antiquing), Boyce Thompson Arboretum, historic sites/​national monuments, hiking and even a little train to the casino (which i have not actually done). Restaurants in the area are generally mom and pop family style, don’t count on a late dinner as most are closing by 9 pm. There is now a nice coffeehouse in downtown Globe and I understand a new movie theater is on the way if not open already.
Rosalie and Dom invest a tremendous amount of care and attention to keep this huge historic property in tip top shape. everything is clean and bright and every detail is attended to. It is possible to rent out all of the rooms in advance if you have a large group, which we have done a few times — we always linger round the breakfast table on the last day, not wanting to leave. Thank you Noftsger Hill Inn for providing guests with such a unique travel experience!
