The Apple Valley Inn has been my favorite bed and breakfast. This b&b has the most quaint and beautiful character. The building was built in the 1830s and the rooms are extremely cozy with intricate old fashioned décor. Each room is named after a type of apple, and uniquely decorated. There is a huge bed, even with an automatic fireplace that made our stay really special. Included with your stay at the inn, is a delicious and homemade breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Our breakfast was coffee, fresh fruit, poppy seed cake, pancakes, frittata, and bacon. There were so many great things to do around the b&b. During the first day, we hiked on the Appalachian Trail, which was only 1 mile from the inn, and ended with a fantastic view. We drove 15 minutes to Main Street, Warwick, NY, which was a cute little town with many restaurants. We also went to Bellvale Creamery, which was a 20 minute drive away, where we had ice cream and saw an incredible view. The owners, Lauren & Leigh are fantastic. Only a quick 1.5 hour drive from NYC! I would 1000% recommend staying at the Apple Valley Inn for a truly romantic and special stay.

My wife and I stayed for one night and it was amazing. Lauren and Leigh were amazing hosts and greeted us with chocolates and the largest dvd collection I’ve seen. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Blueberry pancakes and poppy cake. They opened their candy shop early to show us their inventory. I’d recommend the Apple Valley Inn to anybody and would stay again.

There are not enough amazing things I can say about this place. Run by the most amazing, kind, generous, thoughtful, gracious women you’ll ever meet(who are also really fabulous cooks!). It is the perfect getaway from the city. Why are you still reading this, go there!

Our stay was exquisite. The Apple Valley Inn was the most quaint and charming place I’ve ever stayed overnight. The breakfast was incredible, the owners were lovely, and I intend to come back in the very near future.

My friends and my only regret was not being able to stay for a week(it was that good). Due to an easily confused GPS we arrived at 11:00pm on a Friday night and despite the late hour the inn keeper welcomed us with a smile. The inn is immaculate, an old farmhouse that has been renovated and furnished with antiques & neat knick knacks. There was a wrap around porch on the first and second floor, DVDs for rent and books in both the hallway and in our room. The McIntosh(our room) had a queen size bed, and a twin along with a fireplace, it easily slept three. As for breakfast the next morning, you will not find a cheap buffet with stale pastries. We were served a fruit bowl, a homemade slice of poppy seed cake then pancakes and a sausage frittata. At this point we were too full to even consider purchasing one of their gourmet candied apples sold from a little shop right outside the main building. I would recommend this place for family reunions, small weddings or even just a weekend with friends. We enjoyed the Warwick Drive In Movie Theatre(only 15 minutes away), Greenwood Lake, and hiking.

The hospitality and service are outstanding at this bed and breakfast. My friends and I, with limited vacation time and countless other states to visit, absolutely plan to return to this bed and breakfast in the near future… it was honestly that great. It felt like a dream that we, three city girls had walked into: an adorable house decorated delightfully and with welcoming comfort, amazing staff who really went out of their way to ensure a delightful experience(and yet it honestly seemed natural to them) and a beautiful view surrounding the house(both in the garden and from the balcony). I never considered myself someone who could enjoy bed and breakfast experiences: «It’s just a place to sleep? Why not just pay for a hotel?» But I’m now converted. They know what they’re doing.

Great place. Lovely inn keepers. Feels like home. Clean and comfortable. Close to hiking and wineries in the area. Stay here. You will be glad you did!
