Holiday Inn Express Glenwood Springs

It was horrid!!! FILTHY AND DIRTY!
Walked in and smelled pee, it was the rotten, moldy shower curtain! There was hair all over the shower walls. Got a replacement and it had hair in balls all over it. Yes I have pics. It was DIRTY checked out early!

If ever in glenwood this place was great, nice friendly people very clean rooms they told us the best places to go and eat. When we got back from dinner hot chocolate chip cookies were waiting for us. Just behind the motel was a lift that your ride to the top of the mountain. There is a Cliffhanger Roller Coaster, Canyon swing that hangs over the side of mountain and a lot of other stuff to do.

I stayed here two weekends ago. We asked for late check out at 12 and at 11am, we were making a trip to the car with our bags. When we came back up to our room to get more bags, the maids had started cleaning our room and left our door propped open with our electronics on the counter. Apparently late checkout is when the maids want you out.
Then, when we were driving out of town, I realized I had left my makeup mirror on the counter. Called them and it wasn’t in the room or lost and found. Maids/​staff must have sticky fingers.
The wifi was also horrible all weekend because of «the crowds» they had staying there.

My boyfriend and I are both Platinum members with IHG, we checked in early and a room was ready, but we were not offered any upgrade as we were told there were no rooms ready yet. We were not offered amenity points or a gift bag…
We needed a late checkout the following day (Platinum members get until 2:00pm for late ch checkout) I called and called the front deck and no one answered, so I went to the desk at around 9:00 am. When I stated I needed a late check out I was told I could not get one. I stated that platinum members can checkout as late as 2:00 pm, I was told that only applies when they have availability and they were booked solid, although check in is at 3:00 pm leaving an hour for the room to be cleaned. The clerk told me I could be there until noon, upon leaving at noon the maids were still cleaning the rooms on the other end of the hall…
We will not be staying here again and as platinum members we will both be reporting this hotel to IHG.

We are so glad we did not cancel our reservations after reading the reviews. We arrived 6 hours early on Friday morning and Tyler and the kind female gal at the front desk we so kind to give us a nice clean room with no additional fees. The room was clean and the bed we slept on in room 313 was just fine. We were not bothered by the thin walls and slept just fine. We would stay there again in the future.
