First time after driving by this restaurant for years… glad we tried it. While the décor probably hasn’t changed in 20 years, the place is clean(albeit dark) and the wait-staff friendly. We opted for the dinner for two and at about $ 25 we felt over-served. The food was very flavorful and the helpings enormous. The Sesame Chicken was wonderful and we had more than enough to take home.

im writing this review because i was shocked by the quality of food! number one i ordered Mongolian chicken lunch and it was DIVINE. not overloaded with mag or any crap you would normally see at a Chinese place. they actually added more chicken than veggies which is impressive. the price i paid was 6 dollars and i had received fried rice and egg-rolls with my lunch. im so glad i now have a new Chinese place down the street from work i can actually enjoy! i also love that actual Asians eat there so i know its authentic and not gross. also i love the cool decors in the place. i will def order again.

The décor has likely not changed in over 20 years. The over-the-top Chinese decorations and red vinyl booths just add to the charm of the place. We went in for lunch, and were more than pleasantly surprised by the simple yet delicious egg drop soup to start, and the sizzling-hot-from-the-fryer crab rangoons. They were very accommodating to my 22 month old son, and one kindly lady gave him a package of traditional rice cookies(which I was too curious not to try a bite of myself). My Kung pao chicken was just the right combo of veggies, chicken, and sauce. Excellent flavor. My husband loved his Szechwan chicken as well. I have found my new favorite go-to Chinese place for the traditional take-out classics. Try it out; you won’t be disappointed.

I have lived in Glenview for the past 23 years and have been going to Young’s since I can remember. The people at the counter literally watched me grow up and at one point remembered what my family’s usual was. My family stuck with a few staples over the years, so I can speak to the quality of food we tried from there. The Mongolian Beef is by far the best I have ever had and does not compare to any other place. The meat is succulent, comes with a good ratio of veggies and extra sauce for your rice. Try it. The chicken chop suey satisfies and the sweet and sour chicken is delicious. Egg rolls are large and yummy. Shrimp fried rice is well made and not greasy like many places. Try them out :) I’m about to order from there right now. Mongolian Beef and Shrimp Fried Rice. YUM! Happy eating!

Lunch specials for under $ 7…includes main dish, soup of the day, egg roll or egg foo young, hot tea and cookies. I ordered the chicken fried rice with an egg roll. The soup of the day was egg drop soup; it was ok… came out piping hot though & burned my tongue. The fried rice was bland, it could’ve used some veggies to give it color and a little flavor. The egg roll was nothing special… crunchy exterior with too much cabbage rolled into a skinny log. My bill was $ 5. How can I complain about that? The hardest part was deciding if 20% tip was good enough?! Just kidding! I’m not a total a-hole. Would I go back? Probably not. My fortune cookie fell on the floor before I could open it, so that must be a sign.
