Eating their red bean cream donuts is like biting into sweet pillowy and fluffy clouds. The bread is really soft and slightly sweet with a light cream and red bean filling. Just a bit expensive for a donut. Based on this donut and other reviews though, I would definitely go back and try more pastries and a hot drink.

Oh my gosh I find a bakery paradise. Soon as I walked I didn’t have no patience to try all of the sweet goodies. It’s the best bakery that something reminds me back in my country Central Asia. It’s run by Koreans and little French stuff like macaroons. But definitely worth trying. I had crêpe pie slice it was melting in my mouth. My son had some sugar powdered twists. Usually my son very picky when to comes to sweet. Then he went back to have more different slice of cakes. I’m glad I found this place. I will recommend to everyone u won’t regret for sure. Bön appetite.

So happy to see some more contemporary Korean eateries come to Chicago. We are lagging far behind Los Angeles, which is the mecca for Asian cuisine outside of Asia, in my opinion. Yes, it is a little pricey but I would pay to have a unique baked good with a delicious coffee or tea. There’s a huge variety to choose from — so grab a tray and some tongs when you walk through the door(they are on your left) and start piling on the deliciousness. I love their almond toast which is a thick slice of bread sprinkled with almonds and maybe honey, castella bread(super soft and fluffy pound cake) and iced milk tea with bubbles(which you can order less sweet if you would like). Their cakes are extremely delicious and a nice treat for a special occasion and they keep the space nice and clean. One of my favorite places by far.

Love their macrons and the Korean pastries! I enjoy going to coffee shops and this is definitely one of the places I would recommend. Although the pastries are decent, I think the price is a little expensive. But local bakeries are usually priced in this fashion in my opinion. Definitely a cute café and great for catch ups and little meetings. I would recommend it overall!

Very well lite, clean, and cozy looking store complete with a nervous and frigidity staff. I like coming here for the green tea latte and sweets. I had better experiences with the Schaumburg shop’s croquettes. I’m sad that the kimchi croquettes in Glenview are hollow, kinchi-less, and crunchy… But never mind the empty air pockets. I love the sweets, they are delicious and not too sweet. When you order a cake, my godness, they really package it well for you with a cute boxe that will make the recipient of that cake feel extra special.

I love their cakes better than their pastries. The coffee was little disappointing though.

If you’ve ever been to Paris Baguette around California or New York and then come back to Chicago, you’ve probably noticed a lack of good French-asian style bakeries in the midwest. Fortunately, Tous Les Jours has started opening bakeries near Chicago which serve the light, well-crafted, delicious pastries you’ve loved. For those who have never had this type of baked good — think of the Asian flavors of local favorites such as Chiu Quon or Bini’s Bakery and then infuse the delicious creams and buttery dough you’d find in a patisserie. This produces the perfect combination of flavors and textures that’s really hard to describe unless you try it. Sweet and aromatic… crispy and soft… Admittedly, a bit pricey but you’ll definitely notice the quality with each bite. There are a few differences between here and the Schaumburg location(that review covers other items I do not cover here). This location seems to be slightly larger, with a bit more variety of pastry goods(as well as shaved ice /patbingsoo which is not available in Schaumburg yet as of this review). The prices also seem to be slightly lower and the croquettes are kept in a keep-warm oven. Overall, this bakery really excels in the sweeter items especially ones involving custards and creams or buttery/flaky pastry. The normal breads and items containing meat(outside of the croquettes) weren’t as amazing for me. Here are my thoughts on some items: Almond croissant: Buttery crust, crispy and crunchy at same time — Velvety smooth pastry(probably loads of butter as well) on the inside with sliced almonds for texture contrast. Red bean cream pastry: Fantastic fresh cream with strong milk flavor, like Beard Papa’s. Slightly on the sweet side but still very enjoyable. The Honey Flower Bread: Had three personalities. The top is crispy and buttery, the middle is a mix of 2 cheeses which is surprisingly mild, bottom is like sweet baguette with a bit of chewiness. Chestnut pastry: Almost like puffy monkey bread with nuts prepared almost liked baked red beans in texture although very mildly flavored. Ham and cheese pastry: Interesting combination — sweet honey exterior, strong cheese flavor, but the ham is unremarkable and cut thin. Potato and bacon bread: Not quite a bread, not quite like a bacon pizza with potatoes. Unique and enjoyable flavor that’s a bit more Korean-like with the sauce. Red bean shaved ice: I’m very happy they layered both the red bean and the cream so the flavor is distributed throughout and the chewy mochi provides a nice texture contrast. The ice was shaved well, without any clumping. There were bits and pieces of random elements like roasted barley and almond slices mixed inbetween the layers. The red bean itself is prepared very soft and creamy and the ice cream that tops the dish is extremely smooth and creamy. Taro chai tea latte: Sweet taro flavor, similar to Joy Yee’s, slightly too sweet for me but hard to avoid when mixing these elements together. Peach smoothie — Tastes just like light yogurt drink. Mammoth — Almost like a deconstructed peanut butter and jelly sandwich except with cream. There are crushed peanuts on the outside, which really could’ve been honey roasted to provide more flavor but still mixes well with the cream and jam filling on the inside. Mini danish pan bread — Tastes like something between a bread and apricot danish so you have the heartiness of bread with the flakiness of a danish at the same time. Overall, excellent and well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Once again, don’t be shocked at the prices as you’re definitely getting better ingredients and expert preparation with these items.

I came here with some friends for dessert. They have a very clean nice look to it. My friend told me they are korean french fusion pastries. It all sounded good to me! We walked in and the lady working there started handing us samples and they were bigggg samples. I basically got half a dessert just by walking around. They have coffee/tea options and bubble tea. I heard the bubble tea is not that great. //The+ Honey pan cake bread — 2.50 $ — ehh i didn’t really like this one. It has some texture to it on top but it didn’t really cut it for me. I am much more of a fan of the custard filled ones with the delicate soft breaddddd. droooolllll //Snowpea — 1.75 $ — This one has the delicate soft bread I was referring to. BUT it has green tea on the inside, not as sweet as the other, which is NOT my thing. It was still very good but I would probably go with the custard chocolate one instead. //Café Americano — 2.75 $ — the usual. good coffee //Café Latte Taro — My friend ordered this, i was skeptical because it’s not easy to pull off a good taro. I tried some of hers, it was DELISH. so jealous i didn’t order it. Anyway, DEFINITELY coming back here soon! byee Unilocalerrsss

I was going to put 4 stars just due to the limited parking space. However, it wasn’t such a big deal due to the nice surroundings. I came here to get a cake for my mother’s birthday but left with many pastries and smoothies. I have to say, you can really taste the freshness and how much care they put into baking. It is a little pricy but very worth it! Once you have a taste, the thought of price goes away. I would recommend their sweet potato cake!

Finally! I’ve been meaning to come here forever, and on a recent trip to Abt, we couldn’t resist driving past without stopping in. Tous Les Jours means daily or every day in French(I looked that up). I’m guessing that means eat good pastries every day from this place? And, if I lived in the area, I could see my budget going to these baked goods often. It’s a French-Asian café/bakery, and inside it’s stark(in a good clean way), with clear covered cases all around the perimeter and in the middle. The presentation is fabulous. We immediately went for an almond and chocolate croissant. The croissants were amazingly fresh and sugary sweet. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality. The chocolate was only a covered croissant and not filled, which kind of bummed me out, but the sprinkled almonds on top made up for that ;-) I think the prize for this place must be the cakes! I couldn’t keep my eye away from the sparkly case of colorful cakes. The green tea caught my eye especially. Upon checking out, I noticed prepacked sandwiches to grab and eat in the café. Everything in this place is just cute.

The pastries are okay… and they tend to be on the sweeter side than average korean bakeries. I had hundreds of pastries from Tous Les Jour in Korea… and this place is nothing like them except in name. It’s very AVERAGE. Nothing special… The cakes are very pretty but are not too great. Average… but on expensive side for the quality. So, i think many of us experienced the rude female cashier. At least the one that I checked out with several times is short and stocky, overweight girl. Turns out, daughter of the owner.(Updated: was sent message by the daughter informing me that she isn’t short or overweight. Well, the owner introduced this girl as her daughter to couple of older Korean ladies at the register, so my husband and I just assumed. If you are not the one, then you need to train that particular employee. Btw, not sure why the owner would say she was if she wasn’t. I asked my husband and he remembers as well, since we both came out of ur establishment saying«only way that girl could not be fired is if she was the daughter, and she is!») Other male cashiers are usually pretty polite, but that girl. Wow. She is rude, ill-mannered, not helpful, and always bit grouchy. I do like their BLTE sandwich. We buy them from time to time for breakfast :). They should train their employees better or stop using family member as part time help. UPDATED: my parents who were regulars are no longer because of poor service continuing. Time for some changes, don’t you think?. Btw, if people don’t like their jobs, they should find something else. I don’t think I have seen a single smile in that place, except the owner ahjumma.

Better studying place than Café Bene since their wifi doesn’t have a firewall… Their bakery is so good too! Love how intricately everything is displayed. Interior design is nice and simple also. Clean and cozy. Will definitely become one of my favorite places to study at now!

I love their bake goods!!! I recently had their garlic bread and cannot wait to go back for more. I am addicted to their milk and honey breads. They do have amazing bake goods, but their drinks and desserts are on the expensive side. My friends and I love their red bean shaved ice dessert! We love red beans and they put alot of it in the dessert. I have noticed that when I stop by around 8ish, alot of the trays were empty. If you want to see all the selection of the bake goods, I would stop by earlier.

This is a more recent addition to the spate of Korean cafes/bakeries in the area. This one seems a little«fancier» and it is priced accordingly, but overall the baked goods are tasty and I’ve never had a bad drink here. The bakery section is pretty impressive, they have a lot of goods I’ve never seen at other Korean bakeries, but again, it is a little pricier too. I’ve liked a lot of their offerings, but there’s nothing that really amazed me. I think probably the best thing I’ve had here was actually their chicken salad sandwich. It’s sold in the refrigerated section near the front and was absolutely delicious. It’s fairly humble looking but they pack a lot of chicken in there. Somehow the chicken was perfectly seasoned, the lettuce was still crunchy and the bread was perfectly soft without being mushy. How they managed all that is a wonder to me. There are plenty of seats and they have a few outlets if you need to study. I’ve never had too much of a problem finding seats, and it’s always been very clean, bright, and open.

Love their cakes!!! Especially the fruit with cream. Not too sweet. Light and fluffy!!! Yum! I think I can eat a whole one by myself. Macaroons!!! I don’t like macaroons in general. Never had one that I liked UNTIL I tried the ones here! 12 diff flavors but my faves are green tea and apple pie!!! And their loaves of bread!!! Wow! Like a croissant loaf! I like to toast mine up slightly and throw an egg on it for breakfast! This place would be 5 stars BUT it’s sooo expensive that I can only give it 4 stars. I’m going broke(n gaining a lot of weight) so we only go now for special days… like Tuesdays

Oh man, what a great bakery! We stopped into the bakery, after having some soondobu and patbingsoo nearby. It just felt fitting to go to a Korean bakery. The bakery is clean and fresh. Lots of buns and wrapped buns line the shelves. The buns and pastries were extremely fresh– we got the green tea castello cake, the green tea cream cheese pastry, and the fried donut(for him). All were very good– not too sweet– just right. And it was all so light and fresh! If only I lived close, I would be at this bakery all the time. Mmmmm. If you love Korean pastries, definitely stop by in this tour de jours in the suburbs!

This review is based solely on their cream cake, not their pastries… which I hope to try soon! Found myself here because my boyfriend decided to not-so-sneakily«whisper» to my best friend that he hadn’t ordered a cake yet… the day before my birthday party. Obviously I overheard. My favorite bakery only takes orders ahead of time because they make their cakes the day of… so that wasn’t an option anymore. Chose myself a cream cake, which was more expensive than I was used to for a Korean-style cake. But it was pretty and it looked fresh… and I was out of options. PLUSIT’S MYBIRTHDAY C’MONNNN lol jk. I loved the design of the shop and I loved the box that the cake came in. Candles and cake knife are included. Yay!

This is a fairly new bakery/café in the Glenview area but has some competition since Caffe Bene is a few store fronts down. I prefer Tous Les Jours over Caffe Bene but you can’t really compare the two. Tous offers tons of options for fresh pastries, cakes, bread, and drinks whereas Caffe Bene focuses more on waffles, sandwiches, bingsoo, and coffee. At Tous Les Jours, I tried their fruit tart, curry donut, and hot chocolate. All were fresh and tasty; the only downside was that they were a bit overpriced. The fruit tart had a nice crispy crust with vanilla cream and fresh fruit on top, the donut was filled with a yummy curry, and the hot cocoa wasn’t overly sweet. All of their baked goods look delicious and I’m sure you can’t go wrong with whatever you pick. There is seating in the back and they have pitchers of water readily available which is great. Check out Tous Les Jours if you want to try some fresh Asian pastries in the burbs!

Friends introduced me to this bakery, and I’m a fan. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and the center aisle where all the unpackaged pastries sit neatly in little bins was fully stocked. There is a great selection of individual pastries — sweet and savory, loaves of bread, croquettes, macarons, and cakes. The fifth star eludes this store because of the layout and flow. You walk in the door and the trays and tongs to make your selections without sharing germs is on the left. Beyond that there is no easy easy way to get around the tight space, which include a center bank of baked goods with bins on both sides. By the time you have over-filled your tray there is no way to tell if there is a line for the register(s). And if you don’t speak Korean you might not understand he/she is asking you if you are ready and if all 20 pastries are for here or to go. So, it’s worth a trip and return trips. I hear the packaged pastries freeze well, which we shall see later this week. In the meantime I’m going to decide between the cream cheese pastry or the red bean bun. Or maybe both.
