My wife wanted a specific type of beer that wasn’t at the grocery store… want to the next closest store. Ok for regular beer, but anything fancy… this isn’t the place.

Very dark, and depressing looking in there. Unusual for a business like this in a town on the north shore. Its close by, and the gentleman was nice and helpful… but I will not be going back.

Wow, I lived by here once and it was so nice to be close but do beware ladies… One of the cashiers was very unprofessional. It wasn’t that I caught him staring at my various body parts on accident. It was done on purpose lewdly and in front of my boyfriend. It made me feel rather gross. There is another cashier who is the complete opposite and we only shopped when he was there. This man was very nice and we chatted for a while. I do feel I must be blunt to women to be mindful when shopping here. I’ve seen how he behaved with other women and it was pretty much the same. I would actually look in the window before I came in just to make sure I was safe otherwise I drove down Waukegan to Glenview Liquors.

This is the nearest liquor store to my office, so I use it only in booze emergencies. Otherwise I shop at places that have a better selection, better prices, and better service. I’ve tried to buy scotch here before, and of course the variety is as limited as you would expect at a store of this size, with about a $ 5 premium on bottles in the $ 40 – 60 price range. About twenty types of six-packs in the cooler, and four of them are Bell’s? I like Bell’s and all, but how about diversifying. I wanted something hearty for a winter Saturday afternoon at the office and my only choices were Bell’s Best Brown and Bell’s Amber(both of which I enjoy) and Anchor Steam Christmas Ale, which is nasty this season. Oh, and three varieties of Chimay for $ 11 – 12. It’s the middle of winter and you’re selling four or five weiss beers? Come on. On the plus side, I got a Foster’s oil can and a Newcastle 550ml for $ 5.18. I love Foster’s oil cans.

Small but very good liquor store. The salesman was very helpful. I knew I wanted procecco and he steered me to their limited assortment. They had about five kinds. Of course he tried to get me to buy the most expensive. He was able to recommend one that worked out perfectly though. Easy to get in and out quickly. Small but very capable operation.

Decent liquor /wine store with a wide variety of beer, wine and liquors from very pricey to cheap and quick. Recently it moved to its present location across the street next to a tanning salon. Have not been there since they moved. At the original location they also sold cigars and had wine tasting. I assume it is the same operation.
