Cardinal Overhead Garage Door & Repair

I should be embarrassed to write this because I have been «taken» by this man so many times. Years ago he tells me I have the wrong springs and charges me $ 1,200, a year later he returns, apparently forgot that he was there previously and told me I had the wrong size springs!!! … and his story seems to change on other visits he brings up the springs again… first the springs are the wrong ones… then when informed he put them on… now they need to replaced due to metal fatigue!
This summer on a very busy Saturday with several jobs going on at my house, my husband had him back to fix the door again but was then occupied, so I had to pay… wrote the check for $ 650 and come to find out later from my husband there were no parts involved!!! I just paid this man $ 150 an hour to repair my garage door!!!
Today he charged me $ 459 for a circuit board and was here 4 hours. I later searched the internet for the price of a circuit board and couldn’t find anything even close to $ 100! Plus the one he installed does not have the same features of the one he removed and the manufacture year is inked over. I called to complain and he was pleasant, but it is hard to get a straight answer out of him in terms of his charges Says he will follow up with new circuit board. My husband thinks we will never hear from him.
If I do hear from him… if he follows up like he promised I will certainly update this posting… as up until now I have been the stupid one for not managing this.
