PROS: This VFW has a nice building which is well kept and has plenty of space. The staff is always very friendly, and the bands they bring in are pretty good. It stays open past 2, and has free pool. CONS: This VFW is pretty much like a normal bar. Where as most VFWs only let in members, guests, and some let in outsides for a fee– THIS one just lets in anyone freely. You go looking to hang out with fellow veterans and it ends up being 98% townies. I don’t mind as much the locals that are pro military and appreciative, but I’ve seen a few younger ones in here that couldnt be anymore un-military and just come in because its the only place that lets you smoke and stays open past 2. Nothing against them, but its just not what you expect at a VFW.
