Mike has helped me enormously over the years, since 2007. First it was for the restaurant we owned then sold, then for the rental property, now because I work remotely for a company in another state which involves city wage tax and unreimbursed business expenses. And that’s just for starters! I recommend Mike all the time, he does all our taxes, individual and small business. His is the one check I love to write!

Not friendly … I have read the reviews and contacted via email. A cold response came back. Not impressed with the way how they treat future customer.

I have used Mike for my taxes for five or six years now. Taxes can get very complicated and I like having a pro do it. He’s very professional and when its time for you to file everything he sends you what you need with instructions that anyone can understand. I highly recommend him.

Great accountant for individuals and small to medium size firms. Has been doing my personal and company work for 20 years. Always accessible and explains everything in detail. Always handles issues with the IRS to my satisfaction. Reasonable pricing as well. Can’t do better than Mike Lawlor.

Due to our own fault we got into some issues with the gummint. Ya know its always stressful and when they start talking 5 figures it gets even more stressful.
For what seemed like a quite reasonable fee Mike made the whole thing go away save for $ 354.00! Mike’s even taking to them about that for us!
Mike is a low pressure, helpful, genuinely nice, and quite knowledgeable accountant! I think you could do much worse and I don’t see how you could do much better!
One hint — somehow he is in the Glenside Post Office delivery zone but his office in at the edge of Flourtown in a medium size suburban building — he even has a tiny gap under his door so you can come by after hours and slide documents under the door!

My story is very similar to Erin’s below. I had an Accountant that I felt was very unorganized and over-​priced. I saw the review below and decided to give Michael a shot. I own my own business, plus just bought a house in Chestnut Hill with my boyfriend last March. He did both our personal taxes, my business taxes, and easily incorporated the house credit into both our taxes. He is easy to understand, organized, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

Great accountant in Glenside area. Last year, I called around to a few different accountants to get rates and his were the most reasonable. Also, he was the most normal on the phone, in comparison with some interesting conversations I had with area accountants.
Last year, Michael did my taxes and my fiancé’s as well. We had recently purchased a house but we were not yet married so it was complicated but he did it with panache and quickly!
