I know Hamid, so perhaps I am biased. BUT… I LOVE THIS PLACE. He’s charming and really knowledgeable, the art is incredible and reasonably priced. It’s a local business with a great reputation and great product. He even hosts parties at Christmas time! You can’t go wrong with Galerie Hamid!!!

Overall: Unique and impressive collection of masks, sculptures, and paintings sold by knowledgeable staff.
My parents collect sculptures, masks, and paintings from around the world. For their 30^th wedding anniversary I wanted to get them a really special gift. I ended up taking the Septa out to Glenside to look at the pieces I’d seen on their website.
Ambiance: Clean, well-light, well-organized, each room contains art/masks/sculptures from a different country.
Staff: Polite and informative. Hamid and his son Ali knew a lot about their art and how the masks are used in the country of origin.
I ended up spending $ 300 on a beautiful Ghanaian mask. My parents loved it and I felt good about supporting a family-owned business.
