Very neat little coffee/breakfast/brunch/lunch spot inside the Glenside train station. They’ve always had a good variety of coffees, and have always been fresh. Got a few small breakfast sandwiches, and was satisfied with them. The artwork for sale the walls throughout give a nice touch to the ambience. Service is outstanding, prices are reasonable, and vegan/vegetarian items are noted. Passed by this place a thousand times on the train, glad I stopped in.

I almost skipped Elsy’s because of threatening Septa, «no parking» signs everywhere! But alas! I found two hour parking across the tracks as I stumbled my way all the way back to this train stop nook! The interior is classy, bright, open, it almost feels European. It’s fun watching the train fly while pondering the fantastical book selection, but you might skip it on your way to the outside seating. The coffee and food is above par, what you would expect at a modern privately run coffee shop. The vegan Macroons were bangin! Five stars if not for the parking!

Cutest train station coffee shop. The cashier and employees are all helpful to rush your order as long as you let them know your train is coming soon! Decent prices and baked goods are delish. Parking is a pain during the workdays, but easy breezy on the weekends. Bonus: farmers market right across the parking lot on the weekends during the warm months.

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese and a sausage egg and cheese on sourdough for my coworkers for breakfast friday. The egg was actually a rectangular cleaning sponge and the bread was not even toasted. The coffee was OK. C–

Super cute coffee house at the Glenside train station equipped with a friendly staff. I’ve stopped in a few times for their coffee alone, which is good enough to keep me coming back. I haven’t had the pleasure of eating anything from here yet, but will update when I do!

Elcy’s is adorable. I love their smoothies and their bacon egg and cheeses on bagels are the best I’ve ever had.

I come here almost two or three times a week. I get the same things. Their sit down breakfast is awesome. My to go order is always a smoothie and a homemade croissant. Everyone’s so nice and they offer discounts for local Arcadia students!

Great coffee(especially mocha) and always a wonderful neighborhood place to grab breakfast(the scramblers are delish!) Sip on some coffee and watch the trains go by. I have a thing for train stations and Elcys great service just makes it that much more inviting ! Only rub is parking. Nearly impossible if coming for lunch during the week … Entire lot is full for commuters! My fix? Ride your bike ! Sitting outside is sweet too!

Elcy’s had been on my radar ever since I moved to the ‘burbs, and I finally had a free afternoon to come by and check it out. It’s a cozy little place right at the Glenside train station. Their soy chai was fine, nothing particularly special but also not bad. But the flies … The flies made it a pretty uncomfortable experience. Granted, I overheard the barista explaining to another customer that the owner was working on the problem. But the constant in-your-faceness of the flying critters made me leave not long after I sat down. Hope this issue is fixed now that we’re in the colder months. I’m not sure I would come back, though, unless I were taking the train or in the area.

In an age of Starbucks and Dunkin, I feel lucky to have a place like Elcy’s. The young batistas are always polite and cheerful. The staff even remembered me after several months away, asking where I’d been. The coffee is tasty, roasted locally, and always convenient to the train or the Glenside Farmers Market. On Saturdays my husband and I will sometimes get up early to make our way over for an EC Plus on an everything bagel before the morning rush. Even when we can’t get ourselves there early, it’s worth the wait to support a local business with good eats and friendly faces.

Fun place, farmer’s market out front every Saturday. I always get the egg and cheese plus on everything bagel. Egg was overdone today, but still good sandwich. Would be good to have a vegan option(or lactose free cheese, like cheddar). Several good jams, blueberry lime and peach basil were good. Coffee is stronger than I prefer, but not bad. Environment is one of biggest assets. It does get a little loud when lots of people are waiting for the train(esp if it’s not nice out), but I still have worked remotely from there — no annoying Wi-Fi cutoff like panera.

We really like it here! Super cute and quaint. Severs are always super friendly. Vegan options like almond milk lattes and hummus spread instead of cream cheese. Music is always great. Local art decorates the walls and is for sale. I love that! It does get crowded so that would be my only complaint is that I feel I am in people’s way sometimes. They have smoothies and self serve coffee. The soups look good too. We make this and a stop by the farmer’s market right outside on Saturdays our regular thing. They do have a few tables outside. Kiddos love it because they get to watch the trains ride by. We always bump into people we know and that seems to be the case for most other people as well. Super cute train station café. I always get the Mediterranean sammy without cheese and I love it.

Love Elcy’s. Walking distance from my apartment and I always make a point of bringing my house guests here for coffee or breakfast. Staff is always super nice and helpful and laughs when I think I’m being funny. Good tea selection and free magnets certainly don’t hurt.

This is the reason I sometimes make the extra commute to the Glenside Station! In addition to more departures… there is Elcy’s! They have wonderful Valley Green coffee, The«Mighty Muffin» that keeps you going all morning, and be sure to try a breakfast sandwich, I tried an egg and bacon on LeBus sourdough bread. It was such a great start to my day! I’ve yet to do lunch, but it’s on my list as their menu selection is fresh, local, and inventive. Once again proof that there is never a reason to not support your local, independent café’s. Great job Elcy’s!

Quaint station to watch the train breeze by. The relaxed nostalgic inlay is juxtaposed by the daily ebb and flow of commuters. Though I did not try any of their extensively crunchy menu, the coffee was velvety on the palate with earthy undertones.

The location is perfect for grabbing a coffee before getting on the train. The coffee is poor and the prices are ridiculously expensive!

I came here today, it’s such a convenient location and the staff is friendly. I had a Nantucket Nectars lemonade from the cooler and an oatmeal raisin cookie to go. The cookie was moist and tasty but I wish it didn’t have so much of a cinnamon taste. It was nice to be able to pay with my debit card! I hear they have other food, I’ll be interested to try!

This was one of my favorite local spots to grab breakfast /lunch. The slogan of «eat fresh» rang true, fresh turkey, chicken, and tuna were available on a number of options. Today I paid a visit to find out that the options for lunch are now pre packaged sandwiches. Today at 10:45 there was one pre made sandwich available because they were delivered the previous day. Save your money, 7 – 11 gets their sandwiches daily at least!

Elcy’s has new ownership and I like the its new direction. From the London Underground inspired logo to the friendly staff, Elcy’s has emerged as an asset for Glenside. They now have Valley Green Coffee which is quite good. I like that the varieties have local names such as Wissahickon and Forbidden Drive. There is one called Devil’s Pool which sounds like the title of Sienfeld horror movie but is actually strong enough that my wife considers it adequate. That is no small accolade! I once helped myself to some Wissahickon and could only get a half cup before it went dry. I did not want a full cup anyway and offered to pay for half. The woman at the counter told me it was free. I really appreciate that kind of service!
