The first time I went an ordered a large pie, I had to use paper towels to absorb it. Great customer service, nice atmosphere, greasy pizza. Sorry

Certainly the best pizza in Ovilla. Tough to find a decent pie around these parts. These guys know what they’re doing. The garlic and sausage pie is the bomb!

The lunch specials here are a bargain for sure! Most notably the Tortellini in Pink Sauce. The service is also excellent, and the seating is homely. The one ‘knock’ I would give them on there bread: bland, rough and burnt.

I have been here several times in the past few years. On every occasion I have been pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of the food no matter what I order. What makes it even more incredible is the affordable price. David is a very knowledgeable and friendly waiter who never disappoints in his recommendations. I recommend anything here with the pink sauce. It is like nothing I’ve had at the chains. The seafood fettuccine with shrimp, scallops, and the pink sauce is really good. I’ve had manicotti and lasagna as well and they’re excellent as well. The pizza is really good but I must say that I don’t care for the sausage. The salad was nice and fresh. I tried an Italian dressing which was very different and quite tasty. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. I almost always eat too much and take the remainder of my large portioned entrée home. I recommend this to everyone. They are byob so you may bring your favorite beverage. The atmosphere is friendly, casual, and welcoming and not snooty. My 5-star rating reflects the quality of the experience compared to the price paid. I feel my money is very well spent here and I will be back for another excellent eating venture.

Best pizza in the area. We go there at least once a week. Cannoli’s are the best around. If your looking for something other than Pizza Hut or dominos try this place out!

This place is a real oasis in the dessert; with such limited restaurant options here in the Ovilla/Glenn Heights area, this place is so much better than it has to be. Pizzas are mostly fantastic, and the rest of the menu is solid as well. Tender, hand made pastas are complimented by a nice variety of robust sauces, And the ‘specials’ are always interesting. This cuisine is sophisticated enough for the foodie, but priced right for a family dinner. The atmosphere strikes a balance between slightly upscale and traditional mom’ n’ pop Italian kitchen. The staff is attentive and friendly. BONUS: they’ve just added a local delivery option. I just got two large specialty pizzas delivered to my door in less than 30 minutes.

Have not been disappointed so far. Best pizzas we have ever had! What they call their creamy pink sauce is out of this world! Bread is excellent sauce is excellent I can’t say a bad thing about them. You feel like part of the family when you go in and eat dinner there very friendly and relaxed yet nice enough to have a romantic dinner as well. Love love love it!!! Even my kids beg to go there!

OMG! I can’t say enough about this hidden authentic Italian treasure. It’s BYOB. So, bring your favorite vino and salute! The mussels in marinara were just out of this world. It’s just awesome!

I’ve been going to Moni’s for several years. The food is always good. My favorite is the penne alla vodka. The carbonara is good too. I love their garlic rolls. I usually take out rather than eat in, and that’s because I usually order pizza there. Their pizza(and Stromboli) is 5 star quality. The service is great, and the guys who run the place are super accommodating. I’ve ordered pizzas 5 minutes before closing and they take the order and wait for me to show up.

Been coming here on & off for several years… The GM, David never disappoints! The specials are spot on! Today I started with a traditional Italian soup, Stracciatella. The soup was so good I had my server box my entrée & ordered a 2nd soup &2nd piece of homemade bread. It’s BYOB, which I love & well worth the drive. Reminds me of one of my beloved South Philly stops…

What in the world. We went for lunch. First, he asked what kind of salad dressing we wanted on our salads. I asked if I could get Caesar, he said yes, it would be a little extra. As he was leaving I asked what a little was. He said $ 4.95. Really that is a little? So we said forget it give us the balsamic. The dressing was okay but the salad itself was wilted. I got the chicken parm. The chicken itself was tender and cooked well. The pasta was just okay. My daughter had the ravioli and that was okay. The roles were so hard. They were crap. We asked for fresh rolls. The ones he brought out were exactly the same. As I was finishing this up I actually changed my rating from a 2 to 3 stars. Only because they were nice, and it wasn’t the worst food I have ever had. The prices for their lunches were not great either. I just don’t think I’ll ever go back.

We love this place! We always eat there after church and usually another couple of times over the course of the month. They have great food and even better service. You have to have their rolls!!!

I have been going to Moni’s for about 4 years now and they have been awesome! I usually call in my order and then go and pick it up. The pizza is good and the staff is friendly. We will be back!

Super friendly service, delicious food, and good ambiance. We started with the Moni’s Salad and their bread. Both were fantastic! The house dressing and black olives made the salad memorable and flavorful. My wife and I had pasta dishes that were both extremely filling. We enjoyed them for lunch the next day as well. Now that we know that it’s BYOB, we’ll definitely be back with our own bottle of wine.

Made it back to Moni’s Pasta after a couple of months of travel. After a disappointing Italian meal in Charlotte, I thought I would try the Eggplant Parmesian here. Wow, really, really good. Light, thin sliced eggplant with a simple marinara sauce. The portion is good, not too big, and very flavorful. The roll had more garlic than I remembered — two thumbs for that! The meal is affordable — lunch is fantastic for the price. I usually eat here at dinner, and it is still one of the best places that I go for the money. I love their house vinaigrette dressing. It reminds me of NYC dressings. The restaurant is getting their desserts from Cretia’s of Duncanville — major bump! Another reviewer mentioned the pizza. While I was here there must have been a half dozen orders for to-go pizza. Haven’t had their pizza in a couple years, but it must still be good to have that much traffic.

We love Moni’s! The food is amazing and always fresh. It’s not your typical italian restaurant, it’s wayyy better. Never had a dish that we didn’t like… it’s consistently hot and delicious. The staff is friendly and great.

This is my 2nd trip to Moni’s. Far and away better than Roma, I’m still struggling with a couple things. First off the rolls they give out are hard as brick bats, surely there is a way to fix that. I requested some fresh chopped /minced garlic on the side of my dish and didn’t get it(should’ve checked the bag), she looked at me funny like they don’t have that ingredient(I wonder if I should ask for fresh oregano/basil and get the same response). I’ve yet to try the marsala after the debacle at Roma, but I suppose I should give them a shot. For what it is and where it is, its hearty, tasty and the salad is fresh and their house dressing is tasty and interesting. Even though I’m pretty sure the salad came out of a bag, it was a fresh bag and all the items were crisp. I will continue to venture here when in need of Italian food in the Lancaster/De Soto/Glen Heights/Red Oak area.
