I’ve been living in the area now almost 3 years. We don’t go to Johnny’s super often, but when we do get to go out for breakfast, I am a fan.
I’d say in total I’ve been here aroun 10 – 15 times and never had a bad meal. The wait staff are always friendly. The owner is always there and seems like a really nice guy — talks to just about everyone who comes in.
The food always tastes fresh to me — I get breakfast sometimes, but do like their gyro. The coffee is decent, and they are pretty good on the refill quotient.

Stopped here for lunch today. Again, the service was super fast and the food was bangin! I had a hot turkey sandwich and my lunch mate had the special, chicken and biscuits. Everyone is so friendly. Just a nice atmosphere and great food!

Amazing food and super quick! My only issue and it is not really a big deal but it’s a little small and can get crowded quick besides that everything is great. Staff is incredible friendly and prices are beyond fair, expecially with the large portions.

Great family owned business! Veggie omelette was delicious and you could taste the freshness of the veggies that they grow themselves. Hash browns were crispy and the breakfast sausage had so much flavor. What else could you want? Friendly service will keep us coming back whenever we’re in the area

Fast good service. Food seems pretty standard for diner food. Corn beef hash and sausage gravy seem like standard canned product. Not a scratch kitchen. Good for once in a while, but wouldn’t make it a regular destination.

The food was below standards, the dishware was dirty and th my surprise the owner was extremely rude. Rushed us out of our seats. Sadly it’s all about the money. Will never go back and suggest you do not go there.

It’s a classic diner and you order the standard diner food and you get the upbeat waitress. Not sure what the complaints were about. Our chicken fingers, clam strips, chicken salad sandwich, and fries were great stopovet food just outside of Albany. Will visit again next time I’m in the area!

I really love pop art. so when i walked in here not knowing anything about this place and opened the door my mouth hit the floor. I couldn’t believe it! I would compare the feeling to a kid at Christmas! My mind totally blown. For any lover of doo wop or art or even families get in here. I opened the menu and the prices were awesome too. I ordered the steak and eggs. Massive portions. Smells and tastes amazing. Definitely worth the money and more. Very clean space. Very friendly staff and management. Definitely coming back again! Check it out for a blast from the past with out of this world food!

Great diner for breakfast and lunch! The food is good and comes out very quickly. Staff is always friendly and helpful, the owner is a really nice guy. He’s a Jets fan too, so be kind… he’s suffered enough!

A really nice diner near Albany. I’m not usually a fan of diners, but we came here on our way up to Vermont and were pleasantly surprised.
The staff were very friendly. The décor is… an American diner.
The food was what stood out. We had eggs with potatoes. The eggs were good, the potatoes were terrific — perfectly crispy and seasoned. We also had a side of corned beef hash — really good, especially with runny eggs.
Will definitely come back if we pass through.

Classic diner, limited seating.
Fast, fast service. We go there on weekdays for lunch, fairly priced and it never disappoints. Soups are especially good.
We’ve been regulars there for years and we are new to Unilocal and would suggest you try this place. It’s a real nice diner, not a greasy spoon.
They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Closed Mondays which we always forget until we arrive at the parking lot. But come Tuesday we are right there.

I visited three times before this review. It’s a great traditional diner breakfast. They do it well. Hash browns crispy! The hollandaise for the eggs Benedict was off, and the crab omelet was krab explaining why it’s just standard diner fair and not more. Still, it’s a great breakfast. The do something special with the pancakes. My kids love them.
