Antonio was the man I primarily dealt with. He was extremely knowledgeable, HIGHLY personable, explained everything to me, answered my questions, and gave me advice for what I NEED to do and what I SHOULD do. I am DEFINITELY coming back to this particular Valvoline based on the superior service I received today. I have gone to other companies and walked away feeling incompetent due to the mechanic being extremely condescending. I have never been more pleased with a car experience and my family has had a lot of car experiences as of late. I would highly recommend Valvoline, PARTICULARLY Antonio on Port Washington Rd by Bay Shore Mall.

I waited about 10 minutes on Saturday morning for service. Not bad. Very friendly staff. Excellent. However, which two inventory items would a customer expect an oil change place to have for a popular make and model vehicle? I’ll state the obvious… the oil and the filter. They didn’t have the oil filter in stock. I was not angry, just baffled as a business owner. I asked the manager if a fleet of Lexus just came by for service. No. I asked if there is a process to monitor inventory to ensure critical, high turnover items aren’t depleted. He stared at me for a few uncomfortable seconds. He said to come back on Wednesday when they will have my filter. I asked if he realized that there are at least 5 places within a five mile radius of here where I can easily get a filter. He politely said yes but that is not how we do it here. Then I lied a little bit and told him that I will see him on Wednesday.

I was looking for a cheap and quick oil change. Should be their speciality right? When I pulled in their was a car in each bay and one waiting behind each door. I was ushered behind one car. A car who came about 2o minutes after me pulled next to me. He ended up being serviced first which didn’t seem fair since it should be first come, first served. It took over an hour to finally get serviced. There went my goal for a fast oil change, After all that he told me they didn’t have the standard oil for my car (2013 Mazda CX-​5). There went my goal of a cheap oil changed. I paid extra for the synthetic because didn’t want my time to be wasted. Took another 3o minutes for the oil changed. Staff seemed more concerned with their dinner order than changing my oil. I will NOT return. Ever.

Absolute crap! Valvoline charged me $ 50 for an oil change for a low mileage car and then tried to charge me $ 37 to change the filter-​WHICH COMES FREE WITH THE OIL CHANGE. I spoke to a few mechanics in the area and they all have told me Valvoline is a scam. The first and last time I got it changed there it took no more than 3 minutes to change the oil which is very shady. Please do not go here. They are a bunch of unintelligent robbers.

Ok, I don’t know much about cars, but I *do* know a thing or two about friendly service, and it doesn’t get much better than these valvoline guys. I went here with my a girlfriend of mine and we spent the entire time laughing our asses off. The valvoline guys must all moonlight as standup comedians because they are hilarious. Super nice, will shoot the shit with you while you are waiting, and worked very quickly.
We got them to listen to Portishead for the first time. I don’t think they liked it very much but they were certainly polite! :D I want to party with them.

Day after a lengthy list of replacements performed here my car broke down. Took it to a mechanic who pointed out that one of the spark-​plug wires had been yanked out of it’s plug (snapping the wire at the head) and then pushed back in. The wire subsequently fell out which caused the breakdown.
The mechanic told me that the wire snapping was the result of someone physically yanking/​pulling on the cord. Can’t be 100% sure it happened here, but as I haven’t popped the hood myself in a long time I strongly suspect it did.
The manager at the store said he would look into it, but has not been returning my calls.

The entire staff is always very friendly and helpful. They point out recommendations but are not pushy, something that seems to be rare with oil change/​car repair places.
I used to hate going to oil change places for that reason, but they are always so nice and efficient — it’s definitely the place to go in the Milwaukee north shore area.
