Vallejo Drive Seventh-Day Adventist Church

Overall (3.5÷5): If you’re looking for a traditional Seventh-​day Adventist church with a nice choir, a grandiose organ, and a great message, this is the church to visit. It’s a good size church with a service that suits an older crowd. They have great people that greet you and again, a phenomenal speaker in their head pastor.
Welcomeness: When I entered the church there were multiple greeters at various locations that welcomed me with a warm smile. People I sat next to kept to themselves for the most part.
Environment/​The Building: The church is a large building with a sanctuary and balcony that looks to seat an audience around 1000. There is a wonderful and grandiose pipe organ towards the back of the stage that resonates well in a sanctuary with great acoustics. Natural lighting peaks in from the windows near its high ceiling. The pews are cushioned and were 30−40% filled. The church made great use of technology, having slides that projected words and images throughout the service.
Atmosphere in church /​The Feel: The church’s grandiose space felt open and spaced out as the congregation did not fill its pews. The air conditioned sanctuary kept it cool in temperature. The church décor made it feel like a traditional church.

Sermon: The head SDA pastor is a great speaker. His message is inclusive, inviting, and filled with humor. It is evident that his sermon is carefully written to articulate a clear message that includes God’s love. He has a refreshing way of approaching Christianity and is worth making the drive to Glendale to listen to.

Service: Vallejo has a traditional SDA service with choir and hymnals for music. It is relaxing and peaceful, but yet can have a slower pace and feel which suits the majority of the older members present.

Beautiful architecture, beautiful acoustics for music, a beautiful pipe organ is appreciated every day, but it’s even more wonderful when experienced on Saturday.
