One of my favorite restaurants. Great food and prices! Outstanding breakfast and lunch! Not kid friendly tho, they have no high chairs which is annoying.

The best French toast in town! And that I’ve ever had. First time here and I loved it! Going back for the French toast alone. Nice place, friendly service. I went during a week day it was empty not sure how it is during the weekends. I had and egg white omelette as well as the French toast and it was good no complaints.

Wow best tuna melt ever. Huge portions and fresh ingredients. I read the previous comments about high prices and not enough food. This place has a new owner and he’s made some wonderful changes. Bigger potions super fresh ingredients and great service to go along with it.

New name ‘V Boulevard Café’ and new(but very similar) menu. Food was fine, but nothing special. Service was friendly.

There closed. Ate at the new restaurant over the weekend, of coarse they raised the prices first and for most but they are already cutting corners =/. Not the same quality at all. They have already lost my business. Good news though the old owner is opening a new restaurant on W. Colorado soon next to 7 – 11 and the freeway. YEAH! I can’t wait!

This place was good though the lattes could be hit or miss, depending on who made them. I liked the omelettes. And I have wanted to try the highly acclaimed French toast. But they are closed! And a banner in front says«reopening soon under new management». Hope the prior owner is well and let’s us know what he is planning next. Where is the St Patrick stained glass window to be located next?

Best french toast I’ve ever had so far! The juevos rancheros is pretty good as well for those in search of a hearty meal. Sandwich wise… the tuna melt was the best! I also tried the Mexican hot chocolate with ice… but it was okay.

CASHONLYYYYY!!! They recently changed to not take credit cards. Even food trucks take credit cards for pete’s sake. And if you are going to do that, have the sign on the door or somewhere more obvious so that after your lunch, which you are already running over time because the service was so slow, that you don’t have to drive to the Chevron down the road, get charged a $ 3 service fee so you can get cash to pay for your lunch. And its not like this place is that cheap to where you will likely have enough spare cash with you to cover it. I never have cash, therefore I’ll probably never be back here even though its right down the road from my house. It’s unfortunate. Change it back please!

Vegans beware. I found this place on Sunday. My picnic was rained out and I saw this for the first time walking home. I got a soy latte and it was pretty decent. I decided to go back today for another coffee. I’m all about supporting local business and decided to look over their menu for vegan options. I saw that they offered a «Vegan Sausage» sandwich on their menu, and I excitedly called a vegan friend of mine to meet me for lunch this afternoon. I honestly wish I hadn’t. After ordering an Italian soda, we waited 15 mins… We never got the soda and the guy who took the order seemed to disappear. Someone else who worked there noticed me searching for the guy and had someone else take our food order. We ordered 2 vegan sausage sandwiches. I asked for a fruit side and my friend wanted french fries. The food arrived and it was one sandwich, on a large plate with fruit and fries. The man serving us said«one vegan sausage sandwich to share.» My friend and I both said that we had ordered an individual sandwiches and that we weren’t sharing. He nicely apologized and said another one would be coming out soon. Since my friend was on a lunch break, I asked him to take the first sandwich. I went to the restroom to wash my hands, came back and mine came out shortly after. I looked at the sandwich bread and noticed Pesto. Nowhere on the menu description did it say it came with pesto. I asked them to double check that there wasn’t any cheese in it since I’m allergic to dairy and I have noticed that most people put Parmesan in pesto. The woman who handed me the sandwich asked the person in the kitchen and they said«just a little bit.» She came back and relayed the«just a little bit» comment regarding the sandwich having dairy and I said«That means this isn’t actually a vegan sandwich.» She offered to make my friend another sandwich without the pesto. He accepted a new one but had already taken a few bites of the first sandwich. As someone who has been vegan for many years, he was pretty upset about that. I have been vegan for 14 years and I’m allergic to dairy. Had I taken a bite of that sandwich, this would be a lawsuit, not just an upset Unilocal review. Granted, I’d probably still write a review, it would just be after I recuperated from my allergic reaction to dairy. Giving someone who eats vegan even«just a little bit» of cheese is not ok. If someone is a vegetarian, would you smear«just a little bit» of bacon on their sandwich? Cause it’s the same thing. Some people have allergies and that’s why they’re vegan. Some people are vegan because of their religion. Some people just are. No matter the reason, you shouldn’t call something vegan when it’s not. Eat there or don’t, the choice is yours. Just be sure you take a closer look at what you order. It may not be what you thought you’d be getting. One thing is for sure. I will not be going back to this establishment.

Café Victory is a nice place to have lunch, especially working only minutes away. Offering fresh, traditional American food, CV has yet to disappoint. Keep in mind there’s nothing fancy here; you have your choices of freshly prepared sandwiches, burgers, salads, and even breakfast items! I’ve sampled several sandwiches and have been pleased each time; fresh ingredients(yes, you can get sprouts with your sandwich here!) and soft bread make for a delicious sandwich. Choose french fries or fruit for your side, and that’s lunch for less than $ 10. If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can have cake or pie. I’m not sure if it’s made fresh or brought in, though, but they look good… but I mean, don’t they always?(don’t answer that). Parking is available on the side streets or the lot behind the café. It can be tricky to find a spot, though, depending on time of day. Let’s hope you’re able to navigate a tight parking lot with extreme precision!

On weekends or days off and especially when I don’t feel like venturing far from the path of Grand Central /Riverside Rancho for breakfast I head on over to The Café Victory. The place is clean, bright, and perfect for breakfast for 2 or with another couple. The french toast, pancakes, omelettes and breakfast wrap are quite good. The breakfast soufflé is also tasty. Coffee is strong and and I’ve never had a problem with service or the bill. A must if you live in the neighborhood. Menu:

My husband, son and I are regulars every Sunday. love the food. today i was craving the ham sandwich I got last Sunday and yes I was willing to drive from north Hollywood to Glendale for lunch. as i pull up I see the manager/owner outside and he tells me they closed early today. I just mentioned that i drove from north Hollywood just for the sandwich. He looked surprised that i did that. Anyway to make the long story short, he reopened the café just to make me a sandwich. I was blown away!!! not to mention he knew my name and my husbands name. THISISSERVICEATITSBEST

I got a tip from a lady I met at «Fish King» in Glendale. She saw me take a picture of the menu with my phone. She gave me that look like: What’s that for, tourist?.. I told her that I don’t want to forget what I’m ordering for a review I’m gonna write. Well, she quickly responded with a few different places to try and one of them was this place. More specifically, she gave me their business card and wrote«French Toast to die for». How can I pass this opportunity?!! A couple days later, 30 minutes before closing, I came over to find the door locked and clean empty tables through the front glass door window. I guess a gentleman noticed me peeking through and opened the door. It seemed as if they were gonna close early. I quickly told him I just want to try the French Toast, he quickly suggested to-go and that it is too late for that order. After some convincing, I sat down and patiently waited for my order. French Toast with sausage and fruits: I went with the recommendation as I appreciate a well prepared french toast any time of the day. Minutes later, I was served 4 half slices of a slightly crunchy crusted, medium brown colored(on the dark side) and snow sugar powdered French Toast. It came with 2 small pieces of sausage and vibrant slices of watermelon, canteloupe and honeydew fruits. The toast was pretty oily and seemed over cooked but it had that custardy vanilla flavor. I just lightly drizzled the maple syrup as it was already sweet as can be. The sausages weren’t the Denny’s sausage but a dark brown, a little snappy skin/wrap with a more gourmet like flavor. Had a short conversation with the gentleman serving me, happened to be the owner. Very Nice Gentleman. I wasn’t rushed but I did speed it up a notch as I can tell it was closing time. Ambiance felt relaxed and place was clean, Service was wonderful, Value a bit steep for portion but the same their approach is not of fast food diners. I can’t support the recommendation I received from the random lady stranger I met because I’ve had many other French Toasts of this type that tasted much better.

The food is so good and it’s such a cute little place. But I gotta go with the haters on this one. It takes too long to get your food, and its so expensive for what you get. Maybe it’s because they use super fresh fancy shmancy ingredients… call me cheap, i’d rather have a tuna melt under $ 10 than a bill above $ 15 for fancier bread.

The tuna melt here is one of the best around — perfectly golden grilled bread every time, great tuna mix and they don’t skimp on the cheese. Fries are great, too — I prefer mine extra crispy. No frills décor, friendly staff and you’ll frequent see the friendly faces of Glendale’s police, firemen and EMT workers.

I’ve eaten here many times and enjoy the food; but after my last visit I had yet another bad taste in my mouth. The bill. Extremely poor value for the price. And, it keeps going up, month after month. A dollar here, a dollar there. I ordered the usual, tuna melt(w/cheese) and asked for cheddar vs provolone and the owner charged me an additional $ 1.25!– for a total of $ 11.25(for a Tuna Melt and a small handful of fries) then he chuckled at me and said«oooo… expensive!!» thats right, the OWNER. $ 3 up charges, $ 10 omlettes, plus hes raising prices every couple months. It makes this place low man on the totem pole. Not to mention the place is popular(freebees?) with the cops. Get your act together Rogel!!! You have such potential. don’t let greed be the name of the game.

Do you need something healthy to break up the monotony of meat, meat and more meat? But you’re not really a salad person are you? The Café Victory has your cure. Delicious and healthy sandwiches made with über-fresh ingredients at an economical price. And just because they’re healthy doesn’t mean they’re small or tasteless by any means. Each sandwich comes with a choice of salad, fruit or french fries. Again, fresh, and again not small-handed portions for sides. If you have to, just have to, have your meat, then take a friend and split two sandwiches, one healthy and the other meaty. The vegetarian ones are so good, there’s no guarantee that you’ll finish the meaty one first.

We decided to check this place out as it is close to our house and got decent Unilocal reviews. We walk in and the place is practically empty, but for some reason a group of cops is sitting at the first table that it basically in front of the door, so we have to maneuver around them to get into the restaurant. The staff looks frightened to see us and meekly ask where we’d like to sit. No «Welcome!» or «Good morning!». We ask for a table near the window and a high chair … «no high chairs» we are told… So we left. I can’t vouch for the food, but what full serivce restaurant doesnt have high chairs?

Went here a few days ago based on positive reviews on Unilocal.I found it to be great. I walked in before noon and there were two other tables taken and by the time I left at 12:30, the place was packed. The person who runs it seemed familiar and then I realized he used to work at Patrick’s Café before it moved and changed to Corner Bistro. Really nice and great service. I had a chicken salad and it was delicious. The table service and white linens mean it’s a bit more pricey but as both a full-service restaurant and a quick serve coffee shop, it accomplishes both. I’m going back. See you there.
