Came here in the spring of last year after buying a Groupon with a co-worker. Really cute décor! However, I wanted to like this place so much better than I did. We both ordered martinis, which were very good. The martini list is extensive and slightly overwhelming, but exciting! I ordered the chocolate covered cherry martini… delish. Next, we ordered the hummus plate with three different styles of hummus for an appetizer. Excellent, all three types were amazing and came with a selection of things to dip. Really really good! Next came the fondue… and I was very disappointed. We ordered the Mediterranean and it was horrible. These people have no idea how to cook fondue. It was so bland and tasteless, and was not liquid consistency at all. It was stringy in some parts of the pot, clumpy in others, and you could not dip anything into it. You have to pick the cheese up in a spoon and try to smear it onto the food, but since it was not smooth and creamy, it would just fall off anyway. The vegetables we were given were cold, the cauliflower literally had ice on it. UGH. Next, we tried the dessert fondue, we tried the Banana’s Foster Fondue. For our cheese fondue, the waiter made everything for us. For this fondue, he left everything sitting on our table, and did not inform us we needed to make this ourselves. So we sat for about 10 minutes before I turned the flame up and mixed in everything myself. The Banana’s Foster fondue was actually delicious, and I was very happy with it. Really good blend of Meyer’s rum, Banana liquor, brown sugar, and chocolate. It came with an assortment of cookies, chocolates, and fruits to dip which were all good. Really, really, excellent. There are some things I enjoyed about my meal, but the cheese fondue was such a disappointment. Never had such bland cheese fondue before… yuckies! Probably will not come back.

Food is mediocre at best. If you know cheese and love cheese, you’ll prolly not come back here. My major problem was the ingredient quality. I ordered the swiss chalet option thinking on all the swiss cheeses they offered and on the authenticity, but to no avail. Cheap cheese, cheap taste. I insisted and ordered another pot, the Mediterranean, and it was slightly different… because they smothered it with pesto sauce. We went somewhere else for desert and never bothered to try the chocolate pot. Décor is not nice. They wanted to go for the high-end but it wound up looking cheap. Plus you leave there stinking(but then again it’s a fondue place) so you’d better wear something you’ll have to wash right away. Service is nice tho. They were very attentive and informative.

While this place has very romantic décor – the prices are high and the food is not too good. You have to cook it yourself and while that’s all fun in a recreational-novelty type way, I always leave this place hungry. I’m not that big of a person – 125 lbs. if I still feel hungry after eating a «four course» meal at this place I can’t imagine how guys must feel. I’ve literally seen people run to the subway restaurant after running up a $ 90 bill at simply fondue and still not being satisfied. Maybe this is something you might not care about but when I go to a restaurant I don’t expect to be still hungry after a «four course meal.»

It’s a fondue place, so you should know what that’s about. You are generally cooking your own food. That said, the ambience was nice, the waiter was very attentive, and the food was pretty fresh. Portions on the large side. I actually thought the salad was phenomenally good. Cheeses were dense and flavored well. There were a lot of choices. Enjoyable evening. Probably superbly suited for couples and girls night. I think guys would find the whole process too slow.

Great for date night! The food doesn’t taste that amazing since you’re the one making it. You get a variety of meats and sauces to grill and dip into. It is just a fun experience. I loved the cheese fondue and I would go back just for that. I wish they had more things to dip into the chocolate fondue, though. Overall, a fun experience and a 3 course meal in one.

Ok now, I’ve been coming to Simply Fondue for years– literally since they’ve opened their doors. While service used to be AMAZING a few years ago,(singing waiters, flambé shows, champagne bottle flipping) that has all gone down the drain now. I don’t know if it’s the influx of Groupon and livingsocial vouchers they’ve put out but the environment definitely went from a 5 to a 2. The hostess always seems irritated, the waiters are high school/college kids who could care less about customer service and the bartender is half asleep at the bar. Service is ridiculously SLOW and the portion sizes have significantly shrunk. It’s always way too hot inside during the summer and freezing during the winter. Can’t afford to pay the bills these days? Also, if you walk in without a reservation– the hostess always says there’s nothing available for at least an hour or two, yet the place is always GHOSTTOWNEMPTY. Coincidentally, the only available seating is the $ 15 up charged cabanas. Hmmm. Suspicious, no? Yes the ambiance is beautiful and romantic but as of recent; that’s all this place has going for it.

A very fun, tasty experience for my first time at a Fondue joint… like most, I found their Groupon promotion and jumped on it to take my friends here for a birthday. We had the 4 course meal and we upgraded to the cabana to complete the unique experience. We started off with a choice of gourmet salad and I chose the Gorgonzola cheese salad which was delicious, we all chose Swiss & some Mediterranean cheese for the cheese fondue portion and it was incredible! The meat(chicken, shrimp, beef, scallop) was good, though you had to make it yourself and we chose the regular canola oil which I now think was maybe not the best idea ever because you’re basically deep frying your food and for your digestive system’s sake, it would have been wiser to choose coconut or one of the other healthier options but they were an additional $ 6. So, I’m not sure if our poor choice in cooking oil is to blame but the meat portion of our meal wasn’t the greatest. The chocolate portion… oh boy, if I come back it will be just be for the chocolate. We chose raspberry dark wine something or other chocolate & Reece’s peanut butter… out of the two, I have to say the raspberry one was the winner, it was amazing. Price wise it was a great deal, though to go the whole 4 course route without the Groupon, in my opinion, isn’t worth the $$$. Keep in mind if you’re planning on ordering multiple glasses of wine, it will tack on to the bill fast. Not to mention the automatic 18% gratuity & taxes. Service was great, though, we had an attentive and funny waiter and it was overall a very pleasant and fun experience.

Gf got a deal off groupon so we were just postponing our visit until it was near the coupon expiration date. That day finally came. On a quiet Tuesday, we stopped by and this was my first visit. The place has a gothic feel to it. Red velvet drapes, classic wooden chairs, and dark mahogany. Felt like Dracula was going I pop up to greet us any moment. The cheese fondue was good. Your typical veggies and breads. We opted for the Swiss classic fondue which was ok. Nothing really memorable about it. For the dessert portion we got the smores chocolate blend which has a mix of dark and milk. Price may be steep if you came in without a groupon deal but may be worth it on a cold winter night.

Before I start this review let me tell you if you do not know yet, they have specials on Groupon and Living Social for this place. Yes, get that. You wouldn’t want to spend full price at this place. Oh and no I do not hate Simply Fondue as a matter of fact my 9 year old loves this place. Been here several times and it has been pretty much an average experience on all times. You come here for the ambience and the chocolate fondue not everything else. Ok, fine. I. Come here for the chocolate. Their cheese selection is pretty limited. Do not get Swiss. Nothing to cheer about. Dinner set will not give you much. You can choose between a hotpot type of cooking or grilled. A few pieces of shrimp, fish and meat with dipping sauces. Reminds me of an expensive Korean BBQ restaurant with less, much less, meat. Oh but the Chocolate fondue. $ 10 per person regular price. I’m ok with that. Their chocolate selection is pretty good. White, dark, milk, etc… Last time I went, we got Rocky Road. A mix of dark and milk chocolate served with pecans. You have an option if you want to toast your marshmallows, I suggest you do, get the mallows ready and back off a little. The server will light that ish up. Nice touch. Service is friendly and the space is pretty big with a dim atmosphere. Oh and if you’re bringing a date here. Get the private cabana type table to add a little more romance.

If I could give Simply Fondue six stars, i would. My wife and I wanted a unique and fun food experience. we found it. For $ 15.00 we requested the private cabana. which is just elegant, romantic and a once in a lifetime experience and fun photo op~ Our waiter Josh was pleasant, informative and an overall joy. He took great pride in his job and took great care of us. I loved the food, the presentation and yes. the opportunity to cook our food ourselves. I had a groupon which was helpful and we honestly can’t wait to go back again.

This place is in a nice area, located in the Shops at Atlas Park. The décor is nice and the seating is spacious. Our waiver was courteous as well. They have both cheese and chocolate fondue available, as well as various other non-fondue menu items. Got the coconut shrimp as a appetizer and it was pretty good. Came with a side of dipping sauce as well. But as for the fondue, I really felt like it could have been better. My table ordered the original milk chocolate fondue to be safe. Although the process of the chocolate being melted right at our table was a nice experience, it tasted like regular store-bought chocolate. Honestly, I could’ve made the same chocolate fondue at home by simply melting some Hershey’s bars in my microwave and also putting together some fruits and crackers from the local supermarket for like the same experience, while saving 30 bucks or so(fondue was $ 10 per person and we had 3 people at our table). The concept and décor of this place is nice, but what they need to focus on the most is the quality of their fondues. I can’t speak for their cheese fondue, but hope it tastes more professional than the chocolate.

If there is one more thing that I like more than cheese, it would have to be melted CHEESE!!! Ooey-gooey, sticky, melty, flavorful, next to heavenly cheesiness is what this place is all about. Having never tried anything fondue-style, coming to this particular place was truly an experience. The Pepper Jack cheese pot was just enough to feed about four ravenous cheese lovers. Complete with bread, olives, grapes, apples and an assortment of veggies for your dipping pleasure, this was an ideal way to start dinner. The server prepped the cheese with just the right amount of spice, so it wasn’t too overbearing. Creamy and perfectly melted, this was all I truly needed for dinner. BUT, of course there had to be entrees. The entrees are cleaned, seasoned and prepared for you, the trick is you will have to cook it yourself. Simply Fondue offers a variety of cooking methods but deep frying and grilling are the most appealing and of course, fatty options. Word to the wise, please dip and fry everything in batter. It’s the ONLY way to go to. And since you are in full control of your meal, please try not to burn yourself and your dinner included. The chicken platter and seafood platter were the winners of the night. Coupled with a plethora of dipping sauces(mustard, curry yogurt, Thai peanut, horseradish, and teriyaki), there are many flavor combinations to be had here. Not to mention, the chicken platter is well seasoned with 4 – 5 different options for cooking. The seafood platter could have been more plentiful but it was sufficient plus there was dessert to be had. The only downside was that there should have been an extra vent inside the cabana to vent air. The steam from all the frying and grilling tends to do a number on the eyes. However, that couldn’t stop us from dessert. Strawberries, bananas, brownies, rice crispy treats and two endless bowls of chocolate for dipping. Bring on the diabetes, don’t mind if I DO!!! For paying to cook your own food, I could probably spend less but overall, it’s the fondue experience that takes the cake, batter and chocolate all in one fell swoop.

3rd times a charm I guess. I never saw all the bad reviews this place had until recently so I was a bit hesitant to leave a review thinking maybe the next time I go I will see what some people say but NOPE. Every single time I’ve been here my food and the service has been great. Appetizers: The mozzarella sticks taste good but would be better if they were steaming, burning your tongue kinda hot. Mine were melted but not as melted as I’d like them to be. Marinara was also tasty. The bacon wrapped filet mignon was very good. It was only 4 pieces though so don’t plan on sharing it. Cheese fondues: The Wisconsin cheddar, Mediterranean, and Italian Fontina have all been delicious. They cook it for you on a stove on your table and make sure it’s thoroughly melted for you before leaving. They’re all served with a bowl of bread, which unlike some have mentioned before, is a lot and a bowl of veggies(cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, pickles, celery, grape tomatoes, olives and a few green apple slices). Chocolate fondues: The original, Bailey’s, and white amaretto were a delicious wrap up to the meal. NOTE: Because the amaretto is white chocolate, it dries up pretty quick so enjoy that fast lol. All chocolate fondues are served with pineapples, cherries, strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, brownies, pound cake, cookies, and this bread stick thingy. While I do agree that there was only 2 brownies, pound cakes, and cookies, everything else was served in abundance or at least enough for 2 people(plus I don’t eat brownies so idc lol). Stop being fat y’all. As far as prices, yes they are expensive. Be prepared to drop your wallet unless you have a groupon. Also, they include tip in your bill which I personally like. Saves me the trouble of having to calculate proper TIP(I ain’t no cheapo) and since I’ve had great service there I don’t mind.

I love Simply Fondue! I’ve been there twice and both times I had such lovely experiences. The portions are generous and there’s enough meat/ravioli/veggies to fill you and it’s so fun to cook the food in the pots. I loved it! Also tried the cheese fondue with the beer(can’t remember the exact name) but it was surprisingly good! And don’t get me started on the cocktails– there are so many! My only issue is that it’s a little pricey so I’d only go for special occasions or once in a while.

Amazing place! My date and I had an amazing time while there ^_^. the waiter was so nice and the chocolate fondue and the Mediterranean cheese fondue was great. I had a groupon for this and I’m so glad that I used it for my date. For $ 15 more you get a private cabana which makes the experience that much nicer & very romantic :) Will definitely be coming back! Might even get another groupon for it lol.

There are two things I really appreciate in life: Good Company and GROUPON! We used a Groupon deal for 4 and I haven’t had so much fun eating my food in such a long time. Simply Fondue is also one of the cutest places I have ever gone to. This is my second time going to a fondue place and I recommend this place over Max Brenner in the city. The décor is VERYROMANTIC with comfy booths. It’s CASHONLY, but they have an ATM inside. Our 3 hour dinner consisted of 5 rounds: FIRSTROUND: Calamari Appetizer(which the waiter totally forgot about), but no worries! He apologized and we were cool about it. It was actually a blessing in disguise that it was cancelled because our main courses were very filling. ROUND2: Each of us got a salad. I HIGHLY recommend the Spinach & Strawberry. This was actually the highlight out of my whole entire meal. They used a unique sweet cider dressing that was AWESOME! ROUND3: We ordered 2 Cheese Fondues(Spicy Pepper Jack and Mediterranean) served with bread, raw vegetables, and fruits. Personally, I liked the Mediterranean more because I like pesto and sun-dried tomato. With both dishes, they started heating up beer with garlic and and then they slowly added different cheeses and other ingredients together and mixed it up. Round 4: You get to choose a specific cooking style with your entrée. Our entrees consisted of a combination of chicken breast, beef tenderloin, black tiger shrimps, scallops(super small by the way) and veggies and we chose the Vegetable Bouillon(which is a garlic and spice broth) and a Cajun broth as our cooking method. It basically mimics an Asian Hot Pot style, where you dip your raw meats into a boiling broth pot. They provide 5 dipping sauces as well(honey mustard, curry(my favorite), ranch, asian style sesame dressing, and teriyaki sauce). It was okay, but I didn’t think the broth was strong enough. It was also a total mess because the food kept slipping off the skewers and we basically had to scoop our food out with a spoon. Fun times though because it was like a mini treasure hunt in our pot. Next time, I might go with the Fondue Grill cooking style. Round 5: By the time we hit round 5, I felt like I was going to roll out of the restaurant. But we still ordered 2 chocolate fondue pot: one white(Bananas Foster Fondue) and one dark(Raspberry Cabernet) and they lighted both of them up! I find white chocolate to be too sweet for me, but the Bananas Foster Fondue actually become my favorite! It wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet and it was topped with bananas! YUM. I can pass on the raspberry cabernet. OTHERTHOUGHTS: 1) I couldn’t stop chuckling when I went to the lady’s room. The stalls were spacious I thought it was really cool that there was a metal hand reaching out from the floor with fingers wrapped around in toilet paper rolls. GENIUS! 2) It also seems like Simply Fondue had karaōke nights there. I found it very odd because it didn’t fit with the place. Throughout dinner, we had random people singing completely off-pitch, which was a little bit annoying.

We went here a few weeks ago on the $ 30 for $ 60 Groupon deal. Upon arrival we stood there for 5 mins as there was no one by the hostess stand. Once we were seated we waited and waited and waited for about 20 – 25 mins before our waiter Steve came by. He apologized for the long wait and promise to get us started right away. We ordered two appetizers which were the chicken fingers and fried calamari, a cheese fondue and a dessert fondue. The food was alright. This is pretty much your topical fondue place, not great but not horrible although the calamari was below average at best. The service however was something different altogether. We ended up staying here for almost 3 hours and we didn’t even order a main entrée. Our server Steve was completely unprofessional and was trying to start a conversation with another server about his cigarettes while stirring our cheese fondue. The other server did not engage and even commented that his guest would not care to hear about this. Steve actually asked us if we mind, how awkward is that? Because he was so distracted he ended up flipping cheese all over my side of the table. When we received our check I noticed an extra $ 18 groupan charged on my receipt. LOL, at whatever groupan was. When asked about the miscellaneous charge our waiter tried to justify it by saying something about non qualifying items, I confronted him that the Groupon clearly stated that it was $ 30 for $ 60 no restrictions, after some back and forth he agreed to take off the«groupan» charge. I was also really annoyed that 18% gratuity was automatically added because if it was up to me I would not have tip a penny for what I had to go through.

Pots of boiling cheese infront of me… Spicy cheese pots? mediterranean cheese that is mixed with beer?! Bread & veggies to dip? Followed by multiple pots of melted dark & milk chocolates surrounding me… AND marshmallows to roast? Am i dreaming? Nope i’m in melted food heaven! I love fondue places because i love chocolate & cheese. Fruits dipped in chocolate might be one of the best guilty pleasures ever! But seriously this simply fondue location is great for one main reason. it’s literally 50% less crowded then any other melting pot or simply fondue in the area. Probably because it’s located in the Atlas Park Mall and a bit hidden. Hopefully after i say this people won’t go flocking to this location and ruin all the fun.
My friend was really happy she chose this location for her birthday, we had a private room for 10 people and they even asked if we would like to come early and decorate it. How cute! The hostess who secured the reservation for us could not have been more friendly and our waiter Justin was very helpful thoughout the night. He brought us extras of anything we wanted to dip and checked in with us just the right amount without being overbearing. They even made a nice little plate specially for the birthday girl, it was a great night! The only reason i wouldnt give Simply fondue 5 stars is because they’re lacking many food options. Their cheese selection is really limited and the combo’s arent that great, the meditterean cheese pot was lacking flavor and a bit bland for my taste. I like sharp cheese and they offer only basic things like cheddar combinations. I also wish they had more dark chocolate combos for dessert, mostly all of the combos included white chocolate or milk. Favorites: Campfire fondue: Basically milk chocolate but they flame it for you and you can roast mashmallows! So much fun with a group Kalhua heath krunch: The Favorite among everyone in our group! Fudge brownie Mix– Really was like licking the brownie bowl, yum!
