Alright, here’s how great this place is… if I were to move to another city, I will get in my car and drive to this salon. I am never taking my business elsewhere.
Been coming here for 4 years now, and I have never ONCE been let down. From the owner to each and every single staff member, they make you feel welcomed, well taken care of, and they remember you by name. I call in to schedule an appointment and they always take me in within 15 minutes, they suggest colors for me when I’m indecisive, they truly go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Oh, and their massages and facials are insane. They know what they’re doing.
This place is a wonderful asset to our community.

My friend and I wanted to get Christmas mani-​pedis in the Montrose area at a reasonable price. I found Q Nails on Unilocal and called to make an appointment. We got there a little late but the technicians were very courteous and we were seated immediately after we chose polish colors. My technician, Sophia, was a sweetheart, pleasant and very meticulous! She also neatly and skillfully designed Christmas ornaments on both my big toe nails, per my request! She did similar designs for my friend using different colors and her work for us both was excellent (see the pictures!). Even her fellow technicians praised her work when they saw it! To make the experience even better, the prices of the services were extremely affordable! I’ll certainly be back to this place.

Came here because it was late and very last minute, called in about an acrylic removal and a new manicure. When I came in, they acknowledged that I had called and I reminded them I had acrylics on. They nodded and sent me over to a chair. They started wrapping my fingers like I had gels in, and thought maybe they were soaking them off as opposed to the regular «popping». She pulled the foils off and began to scrape as if they were gels. I think at this point she realized they were acrylics, not gels. Even though it should be obvious to a nail tech and I had mentioned it. Whatever, then she proceeds to soak my nails and try to shave them off for about an hour. At that point I don’t think she was aware what was my actual nail and what was the acrylic. After about an hour, she finally gets to shaping and filing. Shape was different on every nail, but at that point I was tired and fed up, so I just continued on. Nobody would notice except me. Finally time for gel! Or so I thought. She cleaned them and put the ph bond on, then proceeded to take it OFF AGAIN with acetone, and redo it all. I almost wanted to cry and run off. After another 30 minutes the gel was finally put on and I paid $ 30! I’m assuming $ 5 was for the acrylic that took 1 ½ hours to take off when it should have been an easy two minutes. I just paid it up and left. I did leave a good tip, but only because she really did look like she was trying. I think she was a student or something because people kept coming to check up on her. Annoying when you aren’t told that. Anyway, the other reviews look ok. Maybe I had a one off experience. I guess I may come back if I don’t have acrylics on (anything for that matter) or get another nail tech.

Q nails has been the only salon i’ve gone too for the past ten years, but I have to say I wont be going there any longer. Their service is great, but I just had a really horrible experience the last time I visited. I wanted to take off my acrylics after having them on for a couple months, and one of the ladies (who wasn’t very familiar with dealing with acrylics) was told by one of the acrylic professionals to help me since the pro’s were busy with other clients. She basically didn’t know what she was doing. she started using that tool that helps take the nail off and she hurt my nails sooooo bad. she screwed them up! I was so mad. My regular nails look so bad now and they’re taking forever to grow. If you’re going to get acrylics done, make sure you get them done by the PROFESSIONALS there (Diana-​the manager– or the man who works there, there’s only 1) So long Q nails…

We made an appointment and life got in the way…(totally late for our appointment), we still received service that was beyond amazing and completely euphoric. Our beyond amazing pedicure was quite possibly the BEST I have ever had and the two reluctant guys in tow had no other option but to agree. I recommend the special pedicure. This treatment was finished two hours ago plus and my feet are yet to approach anywhere near the ground yet. It looks doubtful that they will be close to touch tomorrow — maybe the day after.

Friendly staff and clean nail salon. Rose does my nails very well. Shes the only one I trust with my nails. I would definitely recommend her!!! =] The owner is very kind and sweet. Been coming to her for over a while now!

Although the services are just fine — nothing amazing but nothing bad — they are hard to communicate with. Also, they wouldn’t accept the Unilocal voucher I bought even though while having my service done I asked if I could buy the Unilocal deal and use it. The girl working on me said yes so I did buy it. Then, when I went to pay they wouldn’t accept it. First they said I had to call ahead and then the owner came and said that the ownership changed so too bad. I explained that I had asked before purchasing and the woman just said well she doesn’t speak English. Well what the heck does that matter? She shouldn’t have said yes if she didn’t speak English. They told me I would have to cancel my Unilocal deal. I sent a message to Unilocal but they still did not respond.

This place was cheap and efficient. Gel manicure was only $ 25 and done relatively fast. The ambience was not fancy, but I left with good looking nails and more money in my pocket.

Terrible customer service. I make an appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait, but every single time I end up waiting 15 – 20 minutes. Also, the owner has no respect for other people’s time! I will never go back!

This place is hit or miss, which can be frustrating. Your experience completely depends on who is doing your nails. If a man (any man) in the salon does your nails, expect to be in the salon four times as long as what you anticipated. I have spent 3 hours, yes 3 full hours, just for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure when a man completed my services. I don’t know if they are trainees or what, but it’s frustrating. I suggest you make an appointment and request Diana.

I came here for the first time last saturday after my boyfriend and I had lunch down the street. They have good prices for great service! I got a mani/​pedi and they did a thorough job. My total was $ 30 including tip. Not the fanciest place, but everything is clean and they have a good selection of nail polish colors! I will be going back again when I’m in the area.

I have been going to Q Nails for years! Diana, the owner of the salon, and the rest of the employees are always so friendly and hardworking! I recently moved to San Diego and I still come to Q Nails because they are just that good! :) I typically get my pedi done by Karen and my fill/​gel polish done by Diana! Just got my first set of Gel nails love them! Love this place not a fancy place but great service and a great price! $ 15.00!!! Will for sure return.

It’s not the fanciest place, but Q nails became my favorite spot for getting my mani/​pedi. There are many cheap Nail salons in downtown LA and quite a few all over Los Angeles, but Q nail was the only one I found so far in the Montrose area with the best deal. The regular spa mani/​pedi starts at $ 17. I usually request something fancy for my nails so it ends up being about $ 30-​$ 40 but that is still cheaper than a lot of salons that I’ve gone to before with less quality work.
I don’t really have a specific person that I go to. They all seem to do a very good job taking extra time to make sure everything is perfect. I have been here many times and each time I tried something different to my nails. I’ve had acrylics done a while back, regular polish with designs, gel nails and I’ve also requested Halloween theme nails. They seem to take on my request with great enthusiasm and they really enjoy new requests I love it~
They put so much care into their service, I really feel pampered when I leave the salon. The only thing I wish they were better at doing was callus removal. I paid extra $ 5 which really isn’t much to get my callus removal on my heels, but all they did was put some blue stuff on my heel and scrub them with a very rough sponge. I want to see some heavy duty cheese grater style removal (don’t mean to disgust you but girls gotta wear heals to impress and with heals come nasty callus) I’d pay $ 10 if they can do that for me!

I have literally been to every salon in Glendale and this place makes you feel most at home. I come in with crazy requests and photos off of instagram and they make it happen. The two guys that are always there know me by name, their really cool to talk to, and they do a wonderful job every time! I’m here every other weekend to relax and get beautiful nails, thank you Q Nails xoxoxoxo

I’ve been coming here for manicures and pedicures every few weeks for the last five years. With all respect to the reviewers who have complained about infections or other issues, I have NEVER had a problem with this salon.
In my opinion, they do an excellent job. Yes, they take sometimes take a long time, but they give the nicest, longest massages around. The women and men who work here are friendly and many are long-​time employees. From this I would surmise that the employees are treated well.
In my opinion, this is the best place in the area for a mani-​pedi. It’s not fancy, but the prices are very reasonable and the quality of the service is very high.

I don’t get my nails done very often, but I like coming here when I do. They are conviently located in Montrose and parking is a breeze in the huge lot behind the building.
Good prices, $ 17 for a regular spa mani/​pedi (can go up from there). I never have an appointment but they always have room for me.
They also just added free Wi-​Fi! So bring your tablet and cruise Unilocal while you are getting your tootsies pampered!

I love this place. I found them off a review on another site when my usual salon was not open on Sunday. That is one of their major plusses, they have great hours.
I have now been 3 times for pedicures myself. I have also brought my husband for a manicure and a pedicure (which he loved) and another friend for a pedicure (the European Spa version, so relaxing). About a week ago I brought 4 of my students for pedicures during a summer school outing and they were treated with respect and care, not brushed off as though they were not of value as customers.
Every time I have been, the service has been prompt and courteous. The technicians are not talkative, as they are Vietnamese with limited English, but I have never had a problem communicating with them and they are very friendly when engaged in conversation.
Their color selection for nail polishes is great and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is true that this is not a four-​star spa, but for the reasonable prices in an area that tends to be very over-​priced, I feel that they treat their customers very well and give service above and beyond what they charge.
I’m going again this weekend for a Mani/​Pedi and I can’t wait!
