So BOMB!!! Everything is fresh and the workers are incredibly nice and fast. I got the regular bowl, which fills you up a lot. With brown rice, salmon, yellowtail, spicy tuna, pineapple, avocado, crabmeat, green onions, seaweed, sea same seeds, and cucumbers. It was all amazing and freshman the Siracha mayo sauce is amazing, a bit spicy, but a nice kick of flavor. I’ve gone twice to this place going back today. So fresh and delicious, great price, and a stamp card!!!

I’ve had fresher salmon before. Maybe my standards of poke shops are too high, but I found the shop itself to be lacking décor and charm — something I would normally see in other poke shops. Part of the experience of having poke bowls is to enjoy its aesthetic appearance, to entertain the human eye or one’s Instagram/Snapchat fever. However, I found their presentation of poke to be lacking. I would forgive this in a heartbeat if the fish were fresh and bursting with flavor. However, I felt that the fish only had some taste because of their Poki sauce, which they put in WAY too much of. I was a bit freaked out when I saw my fish drowning in the mixing bowl. Not a fan of paying for extra topping as well. Definitely a minus for me. The shop itself is weirdly arranged — either you can sit at the two tables crammed between a glass corner in the front, or you can sit in the back of the restaurant in the dark. Definitely not the ambience one normally would expect. Anyways, there are definitely better poke places to go to.

Popped here for dinner yesterday evening. Staff were super quick with the service. I got the regular bowl which was plenty. Although when it comes to poké if I get more, I’d eat more. Ingredients were fresh and the poké was delicious. No extra charge for avocado which gets a thumbs up from me. I would definitely go back. It seems that poké places are popping up left, right and centre so they need to be pretty special to get 5 stars.

Boyfriend and I have eaten here 3 times within 10 days. Perfect for our lifestyle. Fresh, good portions, clean and friendly. If your kids are into sushi, they should enjoy this too. 9.95 regular bowl(my choice), large bowl 11.95 for him although depended on mood the regular is good as well. The free help yourself water cooler is a plus.

The best poke place in the whole LA area! Great price, fresh fish, all the toppings you might want and more! Imagine what a poke bowl looks like, Poke Café has exactly just that. The one in Silverlake is overpriced. The new fish place on Brand is just blah. Poke Café always stands out as the best one.

Good quality fish, yummy sauces & they are generous with toppings. The folks at the counter are pleasant and work quickly. The owner walks around talking to customers and offering sauces & water. He is very nice, he makes us want to keep coming back. The men/babies I was with ordered spicy toppings and couldn’t take the heat so the owner gave us chocolates, I could tell he really wanted them to enjoy their experience and tried to make them feel better. I have been to several poke places, and I really like this one, the food is delicious. The customer service alone should get 5 stars.

Very good! Build your own poke bowl, it seems they have the service per down to a science. Everything is very quick. I prefer to toss my own sauce into my poke so I always do sauce on the side. Loved the salmon/yellowtail combo. Will be back next time I’m in LA

Craving for some Poke so thought that I would give the Poke Café a try. I liked how they customized the Poke for you with mild, medium or hot. I also appreciate how when I asked for«hot,» the guy told me that it was«REALLY» spicy. I then elected to go with Medium, and I’m glad that I did! It is a «chipotle style» serving where you pick what you want at the counter. It is fast, fresh, and delicious. I will plan on returning and was happy with my meal. I ordered a large and left feeling satisfied, but not stuffed. Overall, a good place to satisfy a craving for Poke!

LOVED this place. It was my first time trying poke and I absolutely loved it. It was very delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. Not to mention there are a lot of healthy options. When you walk in, you stand in line and it’s kind of like subway, where you tell them what you want and they put it in your bowl. You start with rice, proceeding to the protein for example albacore tuna, salmon, etc., then its a choice of mild, medium or spicy and then it’s the add ons like avocado and stuff like that and at last it’s the sauces. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone whether you’re trying poke for the first time or you just wanna have a taste of it again!

Anyone cares for a sushi bowl? I do. As long as the line goes fast. Hawaiian poke bowl are trending and hot nowadays but this particular place is hotter. What’s good is the soba noodles as one of your base. So yeah, I liked it! Ladies are always nice. Location is a busy area in Glendale, parking at Maryland structure and venture out! And yes, I always get a large bowl and I can finish it in a heartbeat.

Huge portions. Half salad/half carb is definitely enough to fill the average person, and probably with leftovers too. Soba noodles are awesome because you don’t see too many other places offer this as a base. Sweet shoyu is good :) Glad I gave poké café another try because it was definitely way better this second time around. Maybe my love for poke has just grown too, heh. In any case, thanks for being a fine establishment. Props to you, poké café and keep up the excellent service!

This place really knows what they’re doing. I’m pretty sure it’s the best poke place I’ve been to. A nice selection of bases. I like to get half brown rice half soba noodles, but to each his own on the base. Their fish is all really good quality. The spicy tuna is made in-house. I’m not even a fan of spicy tuna cause it always just looks like shredded up chum to me but they gave me a free sample and it was so good. Usually spicy tuna isn’t that spicy but poke café’s is actually spicy which I love. Aside from the spicy tuna, the sauces here are what sets poke café apart from other poke bars. This is because they make them from scratch! The owner is from Hawaii and they brought their secret sauce recipes over here. The staff said competitors are always coming in spying, trying to find out their secrets. No joke. And I believe them. My go-to sauce combo is the spicy poke sauce, hot pepper paste, and sweet shoyu. This combo gives your bowl a super good sweet/spicy combo. I add jalapenos for a little extra kick too. They’ve got a good selection of toppings. Fresh ingredients. Avocado is free unless you get extra. Imitation crab is free unless you get extra. Extra crispy garlic is a must for me. Seaweed salad is necessary. Cilantro for sure. Sweet deal. Every time I come here the staff is super friendly. Very energetic and greet you as you walk in. They’re getting macaroon ice cream, acai, and new sauces soon so stay tuned!

My order: Regular bowl with 3 scoops of fish! Base: brown rice Found Nemo 3 times: salmon, tuna, & yellowtail Top: Avocado & cucumber How spicy: mild Feeling saucy: spicy mayo Top: masago, seaweed, sesame seeds, furikake Verdict: Can never go wrong with poke! Just know what to mix it with & you have yourself a meal. I don’t know why I asked for mild & then added spicy mayo, lol! It was actually a little spicy, but good! Mixed the toppings & having cucumber & avocado makes up for the salty part of the fish. Not quite sure if this location is a bit pricier than some of the poke locations in Glendale, but if you’re feeling fishy, get their large bowl for $ 2 more. I actually think this may be pricy for the size. The regular bowl still filled me up! Parking: Metered parking up front or all along Brand Blvd. Customer service: Good! The gentleman at the front mixed my toppings for me & when I asked for a water cup, he didn’t just give me the cup to get my own drink. He actually served it & made sure my bowl was satisfactory. Overall, good little fast food joint! Your type of subway but with fish selections & toppings.

ENDRESULT: Delicious! A regular bowl is big too! I was able to save half for later. A lot of tasty ways to have a healthy or not so healthy bowl of poke, fish, or whatever! So glad that this came into the area. It’s my favorite poke bar I’ve been too for serious! Also, don’t forget to get a stamp card so you can get enough healthy bowls to get you a free meal!

I like this place! Poke was fresh, there’s a great variety of toppings, employees are quick and nice and prices are reasonable. I like that soba is offered as a base which I haven’t seen offered at other poke places. The spicy tuna is spicy! I got a regular bowl with half rice and half salad and I was stuffed after I finished. Seating is limited as the place is on the smaller side. But everything is packed in take-away containers so it’s easy to just pick up and be on your way. Parking is available for free in the lot behind. I’ll gladly come again to get my poke fix.

Really fresh fish! Got a regular salad bowl with 2 scoops of salmon and 1 of tuna with medium house sauce and citrus ginger on the side. The medium sauce is actually spicy so be careful if you get the hot! The citrus ginger is really good as well! I tried a poke place in Pasadena and the fish was not so fresh there which made me a little iffy about trying another poke place. But I’m really glad I tried this one! Fresh fish makes a huge difference with flavor. The portion of fish is a little small here but with the quality it makes sense, next time I’ll go for the bigger bowl with more scoops. SERVICE The owners were really nice. One of them actually recommended the citrus ginger with my salad bowl, thanks for the suggestion! ATMOSPHERE Place is clean. There are tables along the wall and a bigger table near the front window so you can people watch. PARKING Street parking is hard on Brand unless you’re lucky, but there’s more meter parking on other streets. You can also park at the mall for free and walk over.

After reading so many good reviews, I decided to stop by and give it a try. I got to meet the owner, such a sweet lady. Great customer service. All the employees were so nice. Compared to other poke places I’ve been into, this one seasons your seafood in a bowl with the proper amount of spices to make it either mild, medium, or super spicy. Then they place it on top of your rice or whatever is your base. My only complaint is that the employee who helped me seems to be counting the pieces of fish instead of serving the full scoop which is what I’m paying for so that’s a little bit disappointed. But, I’ll give it another try.

They changed their bowl sizes =T The large looks like their old regular =T Make sure you look at the fish to figure out what’s fresh and what’s not. Got yellowtail once and it was kinda fishy but other times it was delicious =d ps…try skipping the poke sauce and doing either the spicy mayo or hot paste sauce. Yum!

Stopped by here for lunch earlier this week for the first time and everyone, particularly the two asian ladies, were SUPER friendly and inviting. The guy helping me was nice and explained how to order and the lady working the cashier gave me their loyalty card and invited me back for next time. I’d say the food was a pretty standard poke bowl however I do like that they give you the option to get avocado for no upcharge, unless you want extra. I opted for the large bowl with half rice and half salad with 4 scoops of protein. The scoops are pretty tiny and the guy who was helping me was making sure that the scoop was not a full rounded scoop(sad face). Also, even though I got half rice, half salad, they still put a HUGE amount of rice. I guess this can be a good or bad thing, depending on your perspective. Overall, with the medium spicy sauce, the food was good and I’d definitely come back if I’m wanting poke during my lunch break. Perhaps next time I’ll ask for ¼ rice, ¾ salad, and probably just get the normal size as I’m not convinced the extra tiny scoop of protein and extra rice is not worth the extra $ 3.

I went to Poke Café again for lunch today and they actually gave me more fish today. Might have been a fluke he first time so I decided to update my rating. Once again, AWESOME customer service great poke! A couple of my coworkers and I decided to try this new poke place by our work and were not disappointed. I’ll most likely become a regular here. Parking: street parking. We were lucky to find a spot right in front of the joint. Ambience: simple, to the point. All about the poke. One big 4 seater table and the rest were small tables meant for two. Not sure if there is more seating but that’s all I could see. Service: awesome. I’m sure one of the staff taking more order was the owner or co-owner. Super friendly. Had that Hawaiian hospitality. Also the chef that cut the fish came out to make sure the fish was up to our liking and fresh. Extra points! Now on to the money; the food: fish was fresh. They bring it in fresh everyday from he local fish market. Nice chunks. I decided to do the regular size either white rice, spicy tuna, tuna chunks, and salmon chunks. The owner immediately too the lead and made it «Hawaiian style» for me(hand tossed in a bowl with green onion, sliced white onion, and poke sauce). I got the spicy poke sauce and sriracha sauce. And get this, free scoop or crab AND free avocado(extra scoops are extra). Not only that, but you pretty much get an option of EACH topping, FREE. I went to town and I pretty much can’t remember what I got. I think I ordered everything in my poke bowl just out of sheer excitement. Everything tastes so good! Now you’re probably asking why I didn’t give this place 5 stars. Believe me… I really really want to, but I wish their portions were a little bigger. I don’t know, maybe I’m spoiled by poke n roll and they give huge portions of fish and it costs the same, but I felt like we could have done with a larger scoops of fish. That was my only gripe. I left feeling satisfied but I knew I could have taken on more food. Overall, my new go to. Excellent service and great tasting food.

Parking: park in structure on orange grove and California. Free 90 minute parking. Food and service: this place is new been around for less than 2 months I believe? The owner is a woman who’s actually from Hawaii and has had poké all her life. She opened this place and delicately tailored the flavors toward a more user friendly restaurant. I came here a while ago and orders a 3 scoop rice bowl. The service was great and the poké was good. I should have asked for more of their different sauces to try out like the mayo. I was a little too shy to do so. I like this place, I’ll probably come back!

As good as the food is, The best part about this place is the staff that works here. Everyone from the greeter to the person scooping your poke treat you like you are the first customer of the day. The poke was absolutely amazing. This place has a «chipotle pick-it-yourself» kind of service. 5 different selection stations to make your bowl one of a kind. The tuna and salmon were so fresh and tasty. When you get to the sauce station, make sure to ask for the sweet shoyu sauce. I couldn’t get enough of it to go along with my bowl. The portions are also very hefty! At the end of the day $ 11.25(large bowl) for 4 scoops of delicious poke in a large bowl is not too shabby. Be sure to come here the next time you’re around Americana. I promise you won’t regret it.

I’m on the fence with this place. I went there the first week it opened. The employees are super nice and the they moved the line really fast. I didn’t like my poke so I probably ordered the wrong way. I got salmon, tuna and yellowtail over salad. I asked them to make it spicy and they basically drowned my bowl with soy sauce where it was not edible. If I go again, I will make sure to just get the fish, masago, avocado, seaweed salad and get the sauce on the side or maybe no sauce.

3.5 stars! Another poke shop in the neighborhood, but this time it’s in Glendale. It seems like it’s in every corner now a days. Anyways let’s get to the point. Poke Café is good. The 3.5 stars is because of their yellowtail. It was fishy tasting. Due to the fact that they didn’t trim out the blood line of the fish.(The Dark Upper Part of the fish). It would have been fine if it was just a little, but there were pretty big chunks. Other than that all the fish were all fresh and will cut. As for everything else its the same concept as all poke joints. There is just one thing different at Poke Café. You can add everything from your toppings step 3 and from keep on toppings at step 5. POKEBOWLS: Regular 3 scoops Large 4 scoops. SERVICE : The service was excellent and friendly. Very helpful. Overall this place is good. I’ll just won’t get the yellowtail if the bloodline is still not remove.

The workers already know who I am cause I’m such a regular but they were beyond shocked to see me twice in one day! I’ve been to a lot of Poke places(even one gourmet Poke in DTLA) all over LA and Pasadena, and this place, despite its unassuming façade, competes with the rest of the places I’ve frequented. First of all, the people are friendly and I’m enveloped by a warm sense of camaraderie as soon as I walk through the door. Second, the Poke itself is very delicious and so well-balanced. The fish is fresh and the toppings they have(grab some tempura flakes y’all) are well-rounded, depending on your preference. The sauce and the fact that I can choose the spiciness level were probably the best part of the food portion. I left completely satisfied and my stomach utterly happy. The only thing I would change is the time they close. Other than that, this place is perfect. I will be back, and I will recommend it to friends.

This was my second time trying delicious poke. For those who are not experience in eating poke, like me :), I would suggest keeping your dish simple and keep your topping at a minimum. Also keep your sauce request light, for then, you will be able to taste your food all the way through. The fish here has good texture and the restaurant has a definite L. A vibe. The staff and owners and very friendly and eager to teach you about Poke. Very affordable prices and quick heathy alternative versus fast food. I’ll definitely be back!

The second and cheaper poke place in Glendale! Menu selection is similar to many other poke joints. However they don’t have that many fish choices(like scallops/octopus) compared to some places. Nevertheless, the toppings are all free and service is super friendly. I got a reg size that comes with 3 fish toppings. The owner also gave us free miso soup at the end! They just opened up this week so go and support them! Parking is usually packed on brand so I usually park on Wilson and it’s a short walk from there.

A lot of places in Glendale are getting star inflation! This review is completely strict in its approach to all details— Love the flavor and the light food at this Poke spot. The prices are higher than in expected but for the fresh quality I am willing to pay. Everything was tasty and while perhaps still a fast casual in terms of quality I know I will be eating here regularly. It was comfort food of the best kind and will not make you feel gross. But the absolute best part of this spot are the owners. They are the nicest and friendliest people around. I almost think we are friends. :) It has that feel of a bar where everyone knows you except you end up satisfied and not wasted. Let’s see if they can work out their opening store kinks and I may have to raise this score to a 5.

One of the best poke bowls I’ve had in a very long time. I stumbled upon this joint on Unilocal 2 days ago and on my way to Flame Broiler, I just so happened that we found a parking spot right in front of Pole Café. My coworkers stuck with FB while I decided to head into Poke Café to try it out. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Variety of selections to choose from. They guided me through the steps and by the end of it, my large to-go Poke Bowl was a masterpiece! The fish tasted extremely fresh and flavorful. I had the salmon, tuna, albacore and my all time favorite, yellowtail. I chose medium for the dressing and it was perfect for my taste. This will become my once a week visit for my work lunch rotation. They also gave me a card for a free bowl next visit. I’m definitely coming back to claim my free bowl soon, along with a Poke Bowl fan coworker!

First I have to RIP to Rayhun. They may not have been the best sandwich place, but they were a reliable staple for me. Poke’ seems to have become the new hot food trend to sweep the fast casual scene. While that may work well for mexican, sandwiches, and burgers, I have yet to see it really transition well to other food mediums. Just look at the inconsistency of the large number of fast casual pizza places, or in my opinion the disaster that is fast casual Indian. The upside to fast casual is that you get better than fast food quality food at the fast food speed. The downside is that to get that speed and price, sometimes quality is cut. Now I’ll be up front, I don’t have much experience with poke’. In fact this was my first time having it. From talking to friends who have had it and my own digging around poke’ is normally a appetizer or side dish. I admire that this place(along with the three other places in glendale alone) are trying to elevate this dish to a main course. To me, though, this is where they hit a big stumbling block. The problem I had with the food was that it got muddled in a sea of flavors and textures. Nothing was bad(although they did seem to be using canned pineapple), but it just all got lost in the bowl. I started with the soba noodles and tofu as my base. I then added albacore and spicy tuna for my fish and most of the veggies/toppings. I also added the spicy sauce with some of the ginger and sweet topping sauce(I’ll get to my issue with the sauce in a minute). While there was a lot of brightness from the ginger I found little else. It was as if an orchestra was playing the exact same note at the same time. There was no way to distinguish what I was eating or what flavors I was tasting. The flavor wasn’t bad, just sort of one dimensional. The sauce was another big issue for everyone at the table. They put on WAYYY too much sauce. By the time I got to the bottom of my bowl it was like a soup. Some of the people I was eating lunch with went back and got more base(salad, noodles, etc.) added to compensate for the extra sauce. Personally I didn’t feel like making a big scene and cutting the line. The spicy sauce was also far from spicy. I am so sick of places putting a pepper next to things when it barely would register as mild salsa. We also took issue with the bowl size. It was really hard for everyone at our table to mix everything together without making a mess. A few of them had been to the other poke’ place(one of three in our general work area) and they said the bowls were much better there. The service wasn’t bad. They seemed to get really confused and scared when they got stuck in the weeds or had a backup. Granted they just opened so they are working out the kinks, so I can’t really fault them for that. They were very friendly though and really trying hard. The décor really hasn’t changed since Rayhun. All they seemed to have done was slap a new sign on and maybe change some paint colors. One of the issues we had because of that was there wasn’t a table big enough for our group. Rayhun really only had table for two people, so Poke’ house only has tables for groups of two. This isn’t the kind of place you want to linger in, but it doesn’t make it good for a group outing. My biggest pet peeve was the lack of water. Most place(even Rayhun) have free water for their guests. Not here. I had to buy a drink because I like to have something to wash my lunch down with. Not cool, not cool at all. I’ll probably be back because I have a free bowl from them. Maybe the kinks will be worked out then. From what my friends told me though the other Poke’ place(which could be one of three) was much better than here. 7⁄100

Great value for the food you’re getting and there is currently a promotion going on where you get a free meal with your purchase though I’m not sure how long that’s going to last. I ordered a large size with white rice with 2 orders of tuna and 2 orders of salmon, medium spicy sauce, avocado and seaweed salad. I thought the food was pretty filling and liked the quality of the tuna though the salmon can be improved. I would definitely recommend this place and as a 6’2 male, I would say the large was pretty filling.

If Dan were here, he’d cry. Rayhun had to close so that this delicious poke place could open =d $ 9 for a regular and $ 12 for a large sized bowl. With the regular bowl, you get 3 scoops of fish, with the large, it’s 1 extra scoop. Even though the difference is 1 scoop, the container sizes look VERY different. I don’t think I could get full off of a regular. The list of toppings is vast but at the end of every list is the choice of everything, so that makes it easy for my indecisive self =) Pineapple was surprisingly very good with everything! ps…don’t worry about the spiciness of their sauce, it doesn’t pack much of a punch. pps…till Friday of this week, they’re handing out a free bowl card when you purchase a bowl =D!!!

First review for this brand new Poke restaurant!!! Woohoo!!! POKE Café is AMAZING. I just stumbled across this place while walking looking for a quick bite in between meetings. Formerly Rayhun, POKE Café adds something new and amazing to eat in Glendale. They are located right off Brand and Broadway with plenty of street parking and structures to park in behind on Maryland. Lines were quick. Service was impeccable. Quality was fresh(they get daily shipments of fish in the morning). I met the owners who are a team of dedicated entrepreneurs. I am confident they will succeed. I had half white rice and soba noodles with tuna, salmon, albacore, and yellowtail. Everything on it please. Spicy. With some spicy sriracha mayo. Washed it down with Green Tea. If you want a healthy dining option in Glendale look no further. POKE Café is the place to eat. My mouth is already drooling thinking of going back for lunch tomorrow!!!

Lots of choices for everyone! I got the salad with tofu and made it extra spicy with all of the toppings! The restaurant staff are friendly and will explain the options if you’re not quite sure what to get. Healthy, delicious and fast… definitely will be coming back for more!

This place quickly popped up from the ashes of Rayhun’s Sandwiches – so quickly, in fact, that I didn’t have time to feel sad about Rayhun’s disappearance(although, it must be said that they were reliable yet not particularly amazing). This place has a wide variety of tasty/fresh poke at reasonable prices. A decent amount of seating, but probably plan to order to go during a lunch rush. The only other places«nearby» to get poke in Glendale are Poke N Roll(not within walking distance if you need to go for a lunch hour) or L&L(and the poke is sort of expensive there). Service is polite and quick! Will definitely stop by again.
