Piercing Pagoda

I went tonight to purchase a belly ring, it was a quick and simple purchase, my belly is already pierced and I needed a replacement. I saw one for $ 14.99 that I liked, the sales associate was friendly and said how my purchase comes w/​a one year warranty should anything happen. I said that sounds great, I had no idea. She rings me up and says the total w/​warranty is $ 19.63. I thought nearly $ 5.00 in taxes was rather strange. So, I said, «w/​warranty?» Then I ask her if that was an additional, and she said, «yes, $ 2.99.» I said no thanks, what a crappy way to try and sell me a product. First you tell me it was included then you try to slide the $ 2.99 warranty w/​o even telling me. I get that she may have confused me w/​maybe a younger adult but lady I’m a professional and although it was a small amount she tried to screw me over with, the fact is, it was shady and unprofessional. After I declined her warranty she tells me, «you will then have a 90 day warranty and after that you’re on your own.» OKAY! I think I’ll survive but thanks for the warning!

DONT DO IT. I had an immediate swollen and infected piercing that I had to go to the doctor to get prescription steroids and antibiotics for… Just saying!
