I had just had a baby, and went here because it was the closest to me in distance when I googled chiropractor. My back had been achey from having a baby. I had really terrible pains on my lower back that wouldn’t go away. First of all, the suite was impossible to find, it was hidden in a total hole in the wall corner building. When I walked in, the place looked like it was a make shift establishment. Old beds, cardboard boxes holding cotton swabs, oil. Just an odd feeling place. Then I told myself give her a chance, and my back was in so much pain, I at the time was willing to do anything to fix it. But she asked me a series of questions, some irrelevant to my back pain. And then we go in for her to look at my back. she tells me my body is a big jelly roll. I have no core strength, and I need to work out. And I have slight scoliosis. Like I said, nothing was offending me because I just wanted my back fixed. And she aligns it, I leave and still feel pain. She tells me she will need multiple sessions to fix my back. But I never return back.
Part 2– my friend needs a chiropractor, and I tell her this ladies name. It’s the only one I know, and I warn her. It’s a ghetto place, and Mabel is very direct and could come across offensive. She still goes… And then texts me that it was the worst experience she’s ever had. Mabel told her she was too overweight and that her «fat» was causing her back pain. My friend works out, and apparently Mabel was horrified when she heard she worked out. She didn’t believe her. Needless to say, I nor my friend will be going back. I didn’t see any reviews on her so far. Seems impossible, but we both felt important to share our experience so others don’t have to.
