I bought it twice, it wasn’t fresh at all, inside the dough was uncooked, I took it back once, I called first, u told them I don’t want to make any scene, I am only letting you know. I paid $ 18 for this cake. The owner was very unprofessional and rude. He couldn’t handle it well and started to arguing with me. I just gave it back without any refund or replacement.

I wasn’t hungry, however, there was traffic for some odd reason. And so, I looked around sitting in traffic. Thus decided to visit the bakery for a little something. The peach croissant was fresh baked goodness that I ate through the after-school traffic. My regular shortcut was a long route today. Not so bad with a tasty baked snack.

Best Armenian bakery in Glendale. Everything is so fresh and delicious. You have to try the Napoleon. I’ve never been disappointed in anything I have bought from there.

I was in the area and the variety of desserts I saw through the windows lured me in. Everything looked amazing! Must taste amazing too, right? The girl that helped me wasn’t really enthusiastic about anything, it seemed. I ordered a napoleon, a slice of black forest cake, and a slice raspberry cake. The napoleon didn’t have cream in it and tasted too dry and flaky. It’s not like the Scandinavian napoleons you get from Solvang. The raspberry cake was okay. It was also a bit dry. The black forest cake was good. I liked how it wasn’t too sweet. Maybe I should’ve gotten other items? The treats I tried left me underwhelmed. They didn’t justify the price tags.

OVERPRICED! decided to take a stab at this place and I got two things. Already cost me $ 5 for tiny square cakes. But I thought«oh well then they must be REALLY good» It’s not. I can make this in my own kitchen. Not worth the buy. If I could vomit this back up and get my money back, I would. I’d rather walk right across the street to the other pastry shop

I wish the cake selection was a LITTLE better. However, you can’t take away from how delicious their cakes are. Also, the customer service is great. The girls at the register are very friendly and helpful. I won’t knock them down a star for the lack of cake selection but please please please make different types!

Heard the rave of this place. But never had a chance to come. Glad I popped in when I passed by and saw the display. The apricot cake and Napoleon don’t disappoint. Very good cake. And very reasonable price. This will be my go to cake place if I’m in the area. Porto and 85 degree got nothing on their cake :)

This bakery has been a kind of famous bakery in the Armenian community for a long time now. Some people rave about this bakery or at least they used to some years ago. Even though I am a fan of all bakeries and all things dessert, I had never been here because this neighborhood is not my neighborhood. So, last week I was in the neighborhood and knowing that this bakery was there I decided to stop here and try a variety of different things since I knew that I would not be coming back to this neighborhood any time soon. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I really don’t understand why this place is so famous, seriously. Most of the pastries tasted mediocre to terrible and some downright inedible. So here is a list of everything I bought. Box regular Napoleon– this was the only thing that really tasted good but not spectacular just good. This is the only thing I would ever buy again if I ever come back to this horrible place. blueberry bundt cake– A very dense cake with no real flavor other than vanilla. I love bundt cake, and this was completely unappealing. tarte squares– this was again a dense dough lacking in flavor. eclairs chocolate and regular — the filling inside the chocolate éclair was the wrong filling for an éclair and it had a very bitter taste. The plain éclair was filled with a whipped cream again lacking in real flavor. The éclair dough was just not very good. «walnut» pastries — these are cream filled little ovals that look like walnuts. I normally love these things. The dough was a little dry. Round gata — the gata was very good but nothing special. Assorted pastries in an aluminum tray prepacked — this was the worst thing I purchased. The assorted pastries in this lot selection are really almost inedible. No one who ate a piece liked any of it. They are all bad. There is a lot of sugar in everything to mask the lack of real flavor. Everything is dry and like the éclairs made in a way that is not traditional. For example one pastry had a kind of marshmallow crème in it, which made no sense and was terrible. In fact I was scolded by my mother for buying this terrible thing that nobody ate and I have to agree. Overall, my point is that there are much better bakeries out there and I really don’t understand why or how this place has a good reputation. I think smart people with good taste should really avoid this place and not fall for the hype like I did.

I love this place. My family and I have been customers for many years and have never been disappointed. My favorite pastry is the Napoleon and the one from Lord is definitely the best. This time we bought a mixed assortment of the original Napoleon, the hazelnut Napoleon, and cream puffs. I wasn’t a big fan of the hazelnut Napoleon which had Nutella instead of the regular custard… it was too sweet for my taste. The box weighed about 1.5 pounds and cost $ 22.00 which some would say is pricey… but I promise it is worth it!

I got a birthday cake from here today and I have to say it was horrible. It tasted really bad and had no flavor whatsoever. Not to mention their service was so unprofessional. Clerks would just stand there and talk to their friends and relatives while other costumers waited for a good 10 minutes. I suggest you guys try somewhere else if you want a buy a cake!

My favorite bakery in Glendale for Napoleon and Round Gata, and Apricot Pie. I purchased Hazelnut Custad Napoleon last time I went it was good but my favorite is regular custard one. Service is ok, sometimes rude and mean, sometimes are great depends who serves you. Last time was bad because instead of finishing serving me, the lady started to talk kiss and hug other customer not even saying sorry that she was taking her time with chit chats while i was waiting she will give my credit card and my cakes to me. But it did not bother me since I am always fun of their napoleons and I am gonna go back. Her service showed her level of class.

Noelle’s Unilocal Notebook 2015 Lord and Villa Bakery came highly recommended to me by my Khaleh Joons L&S. Post Disneyland trip my husband, son and I trekked out to Glendale to find this highly recommended bakery. It’s located in a small shopping center with a tiny parking lot but we were able to find parking((luckily)). Once we stepped inside we were greeted by the friendly employees behind the large glass bakery displays. The entire shop smells of butter, sugar and sweet spices. In the middle of the bakery they have what seems to be an endless supply of European chocolates which are hard to find. This bakery is so amazing they have the most beautifully made desserts — cakes(sheet, slices, small), napoleons, cookies, Nazook, Gata, the list could literally go on and on. We purchased: four dozen raisin butter cookies four Gata(two regular and two cardamom) There are supposed to be two locations of Lord and Villa– the one in Glendale and one Tehran(according to my Klaheh Joon). Friendly customer service, delicious pastries make this a must visit when in the 818. The raisin butter cookies are my favorite :) Wish they had a location in Northern California. If you’re needing something for your sweet tooth, a dessert for a party or want to treat your family to a delicious baked item be sure to stop at Lord and Villa Bakery! Noelle’s Notes They take cash, debit. Friendly customer service Raisin butter cookies are my fave! Gata comes now in cardamom. Apple Pay /NFC isn’t working but they have the machine.

Anytime I’m in Glendale. I stop at Lord to pick up a tray of goodies. This bakery has been one of my go to spots for over 5 years. Prices have gone up since then but i don’t blame them. They are located in a small shopping plaza with a couple other businesses. Now let me warn you! Lol the parking space looks like an exotic car dealership! Every time i come here. I feel like i am in a car competition. There are cars coming in and out every 5 – 10 minutes. Everyone stares down at you. Uhh(typical Glendale) Anyway… One of my favorites offered here are the Napoleons! A tray will set you around $ 20 – 25 dollars. The customer service is okay. I think customers get butt hurt because they scatter around all over and the employees don’t know who was next. Confusion causes tension and negative reviews.

Pastries are to die for but the employees need a attitude adjustment! The girl at the counter asked me where I was from she assumed it was not Armenian, after I told her where I was(Im Hispanic) from she rolled her eyes. It doesn’t matter where someone’s from as long as your customer you have to be nice to people.

I do agree with the customer service issue! I haven’t been there for over a year just because of that. I might as well spend my $$ somewhere else. It seems like the customer service has not changed. Too Bad. I do like the Napoleons though. Management: Tell your girls to be more friendly & your customers will be much happier.

Initially, I gave them one star because they have the worst customer service. I changed it to 2 starts only because of the Napoleon, peach and blueberry pies.
