I would like to put an extra STAR for Deborah if I could… she is the 4^th attorney that I worked with on the same case, compare the previously 3 attorneys, she is the best! If you have any immigration issues or questions, she is the one you definitely need to work with. She is very knowledgeable and experienced; she knows how to approach to get the issue been taken care of. My case was very complicated (because the previously attorney mailed my document to the WROND place, I would write a 0 star review for him if Unilocal allows me), During the first visiting at Deborah’s office, she listed out step by step on what I should do, she listed out everything that I should prepare; she also told me how much she will charge, the price is fair, she didn’t come up any extra charges during the entire process, (other attorneys will make up some BS to charge more, they wont tell you this before they handle your case), I learned this after I worked with other 3 attorneys who messed up my case and made wore and worse.
I highly recommend Deborah to everyone that has immigration issues.

I do not trust Deborah Karapetian and never will. I was picked up by INS agents for immigration violation and prior to that, she has been handling my case for adjustment of status. I was detained at Lancaster Detention Center and not even once did she visit me for the whole 3 months that I was detained. She called me twice but never gave me any assurance that I won’t be deported. I have to call her office just to be able to hear from her. All my cell mates were getting visits from their lawyers, but not me. I was deported after 3 months and she didn’t even see me at INS downtown during the 3 days I was there prior to deportation. I don’t expect apology because I know it’s not her fault but if you can at least make your client feel that you are with them in times of hardship is more than enough. NEVER AGAiN DeBoRAH K!!! You failed me!!!

My immigration process went really smooth and without any difficulties because of Deborah L. Karapetian and staff. I am very grateful to have her as an attorney. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would have to say 10 on Deborah’s team. They were well organized, highly knowledgeable and very professional throughout my entire experience. Absolutely terrible!
In January 2014 I sought legal counsel from this lawyer and paid 5 thousand dollars in advance. At the beginning of 2015 I was forced to file a complaint with the California Bar because Ms. Karapetian did not perform any work on my case; however, she kept the entirety of my advance and, in response to the Bar inquiries, attempted to lie her way out of it.
For months, I was not able to get ahold of her. I sent numerous emails and called many times, but Ms. Karapetian was not honest enough to send me a refund. I would also like to mention her paralegal Arsine, who had a terrible attitude and also refused to communicate with me in a proper manner.
I absolutely do not recommend this lawyer because she (1) did not act like a professional; (2) was impossible to communicate with; (3) refused to justly return the money paid when no work was performed; and (4) resorted to misrepresentation and falsehood in response to my Bar complaint.
I had high expectations of Ms. Karapetian, who puts herself out as a professional. I expected honesty and competence, but was really disappointed. I sincerely hope this review prevents someone from ending up in my situation.

If you need an immigration attorney, Ms. Deborah Karapetian is the one. She has worked on our case for over 10 years, trying to fix our situation with USCIS. We were a hard working family of three with no criminal backgrounds and college graduates. After over a decade, she helped us WIN our case! It was very emotional and a dragged out case but with the help of her and her team it was finally over.
What I like about Ms. Karapetian is that she doesn’t take situations lightly. She always has a sense of urgency and as she should because these are people’s lives at stake! You must trust her and disclose everything to her so that she can provide the best plan of attack. The clients themselves must do their due diligence as well and take time to understand what is going and she will help you at every single step. She will find all possible ways to win your case. She and her team (Natosha and others) are very helpful and attentive.
I’ve only posted one other review on Unilocal.This is my FIRST POSITIVE review with the other review being a complaint at a restaurant. It is the least I can do for what she has done for my family.

Deborah Karapetian handled my wife’s citizenship process (green card to US citizen). I know there are 2 less than favorable reviews but honestly, my experience was completely different. Deborah was cordial, forthright, and seemed very knowledgeable about the process, related laws, and how things work specifically in the LA USCIS offices. She answered most questions promptly (email and phone) and kept us informed as to what was going on. She also didn’t pressure us to spend more than we needed (something I appreciate a lot!). She clearly has a lot of experience.
Would definitely recommend her for any immigration help.

Deborah Karapetian’s Law Office is considered the best thing that ever happened in my life. I have no doubt in my mind that everything happens for a reason that is why entrusted everything to Deborah Karapetian. I could have availed of other prominent lawyers’ services but I chose to be at Atty Karapetian’s whom I believe is the best office to handle my case.
