Mediocre westernized sushi restaurant. Lots of rolls and such. Prices are reasonable. Not very special but a good place to go to to hang out and not care if you’re getting the best quality or authentic experience.

Came here for take out… It was a decent neighborhood sushi spot. Ordered the spicy tuna roll and scallop hand rolls. Maybe it’s because it was so close to their closing hour, but the sushi itself, particularly the scallops weren’t that great. Then again, it’s hard to find decent scallops… The spicy tuna was good not great. Overall I would give the meal a 6.5 out of 10. It was an okay meal considering I was extremely hungry after a long work day, it was a few minutes until closing being the end of the day and it was take out, satisfied the craving, somewhat. I couldn’t be picky considering the hour. If their happy hour is good, I’d give it another chance.

Not bad. Menu is BIG! So much variety in their rolls. Decent size portions, decent quality, slightly above average pricing. 90 min free parking in the garage across the street.

If you’re looking for some high quality sushi and rolls, this is where you should visit. I started with classic sushi including salmon, tuna, halibut, and albacore. These sushi tasted very differently with other cheap sushi. It was exquisite! My personal favorite was Garlic Albacore Roll. Spicy and tasty! I’m totally visiting this place again.

Holy cow, thank goodness sushi land was closed! I think I found my new sushi spot. My bf and I ended up coming here instead. We ordered the spicy sashimi salad, spider roll, and hot sake. I was extremely impressed with the service, quality, and ratio of protein to rice ratio. Also, they were very generous with the amount of sashimi. :D!Definitely coming again to check out happy hour!

I love this place! I love the variety of rolls, we’ve tried a different one every time we have visited this spot. I love the 911 roll, spicy albacore and red rock roll. Ample seating, spacious, fast service too! Parking lot right across the street with 90 minutes free parking. Also they have happy hour every day 3 – 7! Love it!!:)

The food here is excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautiful plated. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of the dishes. My husband and I always enjoyed the lunch special, the hand rolls are the favorite dish. The attention is excellent and the place is perfect for meeting and special occasions. 100%recommended.

I’ve taken the advice of many Unilocalers but when it comes to sushi, some of these people are like fish outta water… You can, however, heed my advice because: 1. I’m Asian… Yeah, I said it. 2. First real job was at a sushi bar… Subsequently, became obsessed with finding good sushi spots. 3. I’ve eaten at Nobu, bluefin, Asanebo, etc… All of the«greatest» sushi establishments in So Cal… And I freaking LOVE this place!!! Okay, it’s not Nobu or anything close to it but neither are the prices. This place is «best bang for your buck» sushi. The quality of fish is good, their special items are creative, bold and delicious, and their service is on point every time. If you’re looking for an every day kind of sushi joint, look no further. These guys make consistently great dishes. Their hot and cold items are all good! I’m not a big roll person but if that’s your jam, you’ll definitely wanna check out this place. Tip: Be sure to try the Fat Avocado. Yummmmmm!!!

I finally checked this place out, and the verdict is that you should go here if you are craving some kind of roll but for pure good quality nigiri sushi/sashimi, this isn’t going to be the place. You can always tell if the traditional sushi is going to be good if the sushi bar is full or not. Here, there were zero people at the sushi bar, so even though we usually sit at the sushi bar, we opted for a table. My husband got the sushi combo plate that came with selected nigiri and a California roll. It looked awesome, but he said it was not great. He said the CA roll was the best thing. My mom and I tried the baked scallop roll and the baked salmon roll and steered away from sushi. The rolls were huge and great. We tried the agadeshi tofu, which was great. All in all, if you’re craving some kind of roll or other apps, this isn’t a bad choice. If you’re craving good quality sushi for nigiri or sashimi, then this isn’t the place for you. It’s a little pricey and service is a little spotty, but overall, not bad.

The ownership changed and as a Glendalian living here for the past 26 years, you grow accustomed to businesses that open up with its original owners, so the idea that this place sold, scared me and my friends a little. To our great surprise, the food remained fantastic, even with new chefs. We love ordering the Longestino roll. I’m drooling just thinking about it. My son loves the miso soup so it’s always soup day for him when he visits me at work right next door at Acrylique. The staff is fast and friendly. I’m really glad that there’s a sushi restaurant near me so I don’t have to travel too far for great sushi!

Update: it’s been about an hour since I ate at the restaurant and my stomach got super bloated like a balloon and now I have diarrhea Maybe the fish is not drag here?! Careful everyone. I gave 2 stars cuz at least it tasted good and I don’t think there is any Mal intention. It’s a Japanese restaurant, but I think it is run by Koreans because I heard them speaking Korean to each other. But hey, maybe they are Japanese who are practicing their Korean? Haha I can just tell the difference between Japanese customer service and other«Asians» customer service. Japanese almost always has the best customer service. The food was good. I like that some of their sushi has a spin on it to make it a bit different than other places. They had spicy tuna gyoza on the menu, but when I ordered, they said they don’t have it. Not sure if that meant they don’t have it anymore or if they just ran out. I ordered Shishito peppers, Naked Albacore and Garlic Albacore roll. Everything was so yummy. It’s not cheap though. The ambiance was very dim lighting with music playing.

All I can say is they have lost my business(for life) due their poor customer service. I came here with a large group and called ahead to ask about the wait and if they could seat us. When we got there, it was a completely different story. The restaurant was about half empty and they were in no way trying to help us sit at one table all together. They kept insisting on splitting up our group, which made no sense to us(the customer). Not sure if that was too difficult of a request to accommodate us at one table, by simply moving a few tables and chairs around, but let’s just say we walked out and took our business down the street. I wish the owners the best of luck. They will need it with those hosts.

Sunday night dinner in Glendale. This place is painted red inside which psychologically will be the first color to catch your eye, as it did. Not such a huge place but a modern intriguing look gives this place a small charm right in between two other shops. FOOD/SERVICE: Did not get the initial hello. Was only in the waitress’ radar when we already picked up & took some time looking at the menu ourselves by the door. You wouldn’t think it but that initial hello is much more important for a restaurant than they think, it’s what sets any customer’s experience on a good note. As for the food: dynamite roll, salmon nigiri, edamame, philly roll, & baked mussels with hot tea. The food was good nothing out of the ordinary and nothing bad to say. Generally, regular Japanese joint with the usual kinds of food for a last minute find but service was off.

3.5÷5 I like this place because the atmosphere is really chill, the food portion are moderate, and the customer service is great! I had the dragon roll and my girlfriend had the bulgogi roll. The bulgogi roll is just a standard roll with bulgogi filling and topped with a generous amours of bulgogi. It was good. The dragon roll was pretty good. I liked the the eel actually had a good amount of crisp and partially charred which gave it a great texture to my standards. Just wish it wasn’t as pricy. I’ve been to places where it would taste as similar but costs way less.
