I Acosta MD

I had a lyphomsa/​fatty tissue removed from my leg and Dr. Acosta was the gentleman who handle the procedure. Truly did an amazing job. The incision was clean/​nicely done and my scar most likely will be hardly noticeable. Besides him being a skillful surgeon, his customer service is top notch. Took the time to explain to my wife and I what I had in my leg, used and ultrasound device, which by the way I though was really cool, and showed me what I had growing/​living in my leg. He also has a great personality. If you want a doctor you can trust and know you are in good hands, look no further, this is your guy. Also Sue, the lady at the front window, she is on it. Great personality as well, and knows her stuff. I would give 6 stars if I could.

I cannot say enough good things about both Dr Acosta and Sue, the sweetheart who runs his office. Both are so warm and caring. While Dr Acosta did a fabulous job with my surgery, I hope to not have to see him again. ;-) But, were I to need his type of services, I’d go back to him in a heartbeat. While Unilocal only allows a maximum rating of 5 stars, he and Sue deserve twice that.

Just saw Dr. Ignacio-​acosta. What an interesting and helpful MD. Wish my mom had him for her vascular needs when she was still with us. Thank you Doc and thank you too Sue!

Paula and the staff are amazing! All treatments were a success, results finally! After years of dealing with acne I’m finally getting some relief

I have seen Paula for laser treatment and she is an AMAZING person. Not just because of the hair removal but because she has such a great personality. I felt very comfortable with her at every visit. There is no pressure to continue sessions. Some places ask that you pay for several sessions up front. Paula only charges per visit.
I can’t wait to make another appointment. I had my chin and underarms lasered and the results are permanent. I’m much more confident now. I just have to wait until I save some more money. My husband and I currently have other financial priorities. Her prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend her!

I love Paula. I’ve seen her for laser hair removal and she is the best.
I’ve been to other places in Beverly hills that were not even close to the quality that Paula offers. The equipment here is the real deal-​not a package of seven appointments that you hope will work, where you see a different nurse every time (at least that was my experience). I am of a darker ethnicity where unwanted hair is an issue. Trust. Me.

Dr. Ignacio Acosta is truly a healer and practicing medicine is certainly his calling. After a mammogram, the radiologist recommended I wait 6 months for another mammogram. But my amazing OB/​GYN, Sharon Nelson, M.D.,(see my review) referred me to Dr. Acosta. After 2 MRI-​guided biopsies, DCIS was discovered. However, if not for Dr. Acosta’s extraordinary expertise, I may not be alive today. He performed a lumpectomy and after removing more tissue than usual, he found infiltrating Stage II CA. I may ot be alive today were it not for Dr. Acosta’s persistence. I was grateful to have such an exceptional physician on my side in my battle with this horrible disease. But it’s his rare bedside manner that makes this «angel» my hero! He is a treasure!

Paula is not only a great hair laserer (is that a word?) she is a wonderful person. Here’s my Paula story.
Over 5 years ago, I started going to her at the recommendation of a doctor. After my first session with her, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to allocate the money it would take to keep going to her (it IS pretty expensive, and it HURT!) HOWEVER… this is my little story.
I was at trader joes in la canada a few weeks after seeing her. It was an after-​work evening rush there, and a mom & her toddler were walking by (toddler in the shopping cart.) the kid yelled for some strawberries. The mom looked, but they were out, so she told the child «there don’t have any strawberries today, honey.» and the baby started to cry. I saw Paula a few seconds later, appear, and go up to the mom and give her the strawberries from her cart. I knew it was Paula because she has a very distinct voice/​accent.
It’s a really silly story, and I dont know why it makes me love her so much: it must be the fact that she’s just a really genuinely kind, wonderful person. I think if she’s that kind to a total stranger in a grocery store, she’s going to be kind and fair to me: no cutting corners and trying to make a buck: and I was right. She provides an excellent service for the appropriate price. no gimmicks.
Incidentally, I’ve been her client/​patient ever since the TJs story: I never told her because it’s so silly. Since then she’s lasered all areas of my body: she even came in, sick as a dog, to laser me before my wedding (and didn’t lecture me about how I should have made the appointment when I booked my wedding.) AND, when she does the «sensitive» areas she always occupies my mind and entertains me with stories about her childhood and her own grandchildren: she’s just a great person.
Paula is a gem. She’s not a high volume, keep you coming back nonsense gimmick. She’s the real deal.

I LOVE seeing Paula for laser hair removal. She has changed my life! Down-​to-​earth, consistent, supportive. She works with you — if you are uncomfortable with the level of laser strength she will lower it accordingly. Knows her stuff. Inside of Verdugo Hills Hospital, private, comfortable environment. Highly recommended!
