Ehh weird dining experience here, Late one night an extremely intoxicated mean starts to binge eat at the counter. He ends up choking on his food forcing near by customers to try and rap their arms around(he’s a big guy) to give him the Heimlich. He’s spitting up and drooling all over the place, while the table next to us goes«thats disgusting», «Lets go to Wendy’s»

A good thing about a diner is that it’s not processed fast food and it hits the spot when you need something to eat especially after a late night or wee hours in the morning. unfortunately this time it they don’t hold up to tha when it comes to early morning breakfast hands down this Diner is something. Note that this is not a Greek diner but an American Diner The staff is cool the place is always clean very welcoming, and they give back to the community. 1. I would recommend their onion soup ONLY 2. the chicken rice the rice was undercooked the chicken noodle was the process Campbell’s noodles in the package and their broth was the chicken broth that you buy at the grocery store shelf. 3. Burgers were overcooked 4. the fries that look like they were refried 5. their desserts are third-party 6. The fountain drinks are watery 7. They just started seamless and GrubHub so note that your orders will be messed up at first but they are trying If you’re driving through on your way either to work or going home but you need a quick bite and you don’t want to stop at the Mobil gas station across the street for food or the McDonald’s on the left hand side drive-thru is too long then I would say eat there or just wait till you wherever destination you’re getting too Forest Ave is about 10 blocks up for the 7⁄11

My friend Tom Sellitti found this place reading by reading Unilocal reviews. He won’t stop reading them out loud in the van. He recommends the grilled chicken sandwich with American. He also recommends the carved turkey even if it is a little dry.

Very Upset! My first time ordering with this place through seamless and they send me two different delivery times. Mind you I place my order at 12:53. First email says it will be delivered between 1:23/1:33 then I get a second email and it says between 1:40/1:50. It’s then 2:04 and my delivery has not arrived. I call the place twice and NOANSWER, just continuous ringing. I call seamless and they somehow get in contact with the place and say my delivery is still on the way, which is weird as I live only a few blocks away! Literally! At 2:15 my delivery arrives. It has been a whole 1 and 20 some minutes. That’s crazy! Not only that but my chocolate chip pancakes and French toast is not HOT, actually it’s not even WARM. This is terrible. It’s not as it should be and its not even presentable: it’s flaky. I will not order again from Glendale diner!

A hole in the wall old school diner. They have a tiny little parking lot in the back and It can be tricky to get in and out of. I had a breakfast meeting there this morning my client ordered a tuna melt and I had scrambled eggs. Both were good the service was quick and the place was clean. Sorry Unilocal fans I can’t write five paragraphs on a diner.

I have never seen a diner this good in my life and I have been to a million diners… long island, jersey, westchester, middle of nowhere truck stop diners… none of them hold up to the glendale diner. My office orders from them 5 days a week and they are never late with an order, they never forget an item, they are hands down the best and most consistent diner I have ever been to.

When you’re hungry you gotta eat. No complaints so far for the past 3 years. Good burgers, breakfast, parking in the back.

Pretty much everything you expect from a diner, and not much more. Quick, friendly service. Good food at affordable prices. One of the very few places in Glendale that is open late — that definitely comes in handy if you work long hours.

Eric and I came here for a very late dinner and it was a nice old school diner. I had a meatloaf sandwich which was quite good… I do prefer it when meatloaf has the sweet ketchupy glaze on top but this was nicely spiced and had a good kick of garlic. Eric got a souvlaki platter that was huge and delicious. It came with fries, salad, pita and tzatziki. To be honest, we probably could have shared it and both been full. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be returning!

The ladies that work here are really nice they’re always sweet and attentive. The French toasts are amazing. The breakfast platter which consists of home fries, sausage, eggs, and bacon is also really good.

I ordered the chicken finger wrap. What i got was very undesirable, and nasty. The chicken was very soggy and it had an old aftertaste. The seasoned fries were overcooked and hard as a rock. I called up to express my concerns and without any issue they sent another one. I opened it up just to find out it was just as bad as the first. I would think twice before ordering again from this Diner.

My five star review is solely for the potato delight and the pickles… because that’s what I’ve gotten here every time for about 20 years! Love them!

Clean, affordable neighborhood diner. Food is standard with good and attentive service. Like to stop in after early church services for breakfast. Parking can be a bit of an issue.

I only had coffee and fruit. The coffee was pretty good and the fruit was pretty nasty. I came here late with a friend and did not see anything special on the menu. He had tea and when he asked for another bag the lady questioned him like it was absurd, it was weird. There was also a huge inconvenient bar under the table which drove me crazy because I am 5’6″ and I could not stretch out my leg. Annoying.

I’m a girl whose a huge fan of diners. I don’t know why really, I just have ever since I was young. It’s just casual for me, I feel comfortable that no one is pushing me to get out so the diner could be empty. I like the fact that their food is consistent. I never get a burned or dry burger, the slaw always tasted good and the pickles are always plentiful. On this particular day, I went alone to eat because I needed a place to study that was not a coffee shop and not home/school. I just wanted a huge plate of potato delight or disco fries,(depending where you are in the United States.) and a Triple Decker BLT and no one bothering me. The waitress came over who could be my mother,(which is okay because I need to change Moms anyway). She was sweet and kind, she looked at my big ugly binder and asked if I was here to study, I nodded and she had me switch tables in the back where it was quieter. She brought me my order, and my requested coffee, and just asked me if it was okay to just fill up the water and coffee without questions. I smiled, nodded and went on chomping on my food while I scribbled away at the booth. The BLT sandwich had mayo and black pepper, which I liked a lot, because some places leave it dry. Honestly, either way is good, but a surprise condiment is always a treat to find. Right? Lol my fries were awesome ! No fry was burnt, it was good gravy(not leftover, and the cheese was still hot from being melted in the broiler/oven. I ate everything, drank everything, and paid my bill, left a nice tip and left well read and full. I was truly happy. Then I left, realized I was super full and wished someone could float me home. :/

I’ve been going to the Glendale Diner for quite sometime, mainly for breakfast. Usually the service is ok. Last night was different. The worst ever! My girlfriend and I went to go eat there last night and I ordered a BCB and she ordered a hot open turkey dinner, with a house salad. So the waitress brings the salad and my gf starts eating it and to her horror she asked me, «is that a roach in my salad? I look and sure enough a good sized roach was dead inside the salad. DISGUSTING!!! Then I directly call the manager over and he has the nerve to call a different waitress to send my way. Anyway if there’s one there’s a lot more. That’s the end of my Glendale diner visits.

Glendale Diner is the old school tri-state diner that you visit in your dreams. With quarter jukebox machines at every table, and a waitress that’s probably been in the business for years, dining here makes me feel like I’m in the cast of Goodfellas(that’s a compliment). The diner has your standard counter and booth seating. We sat down and thumbed through the laminated menus. Standard diner fare: breakfast foods, burgers, wraps, seafood, dinner, etc. Prices are typical, though I was expecting it to be a bit cheaper since we were in Glendale. I got the corned beef hash breakfast, and Rus got mozz sticks and the New York burger. We were quickly served our coffee and coleslaw and a delicious crunchy pickle. Water came out soon thereafter, as did the mozz sticks. These things were obviously frozen, but still pretty good. The New York burger was really impressive, with what looked like at least six strips of bacon on it. If I had been in the mood for a burger, I probably would have stolen it from Rus’ plate. The corned beef hash seemed to be of the canned variety, but it was cooked just right, left to brown on the stovetop, served up with home fries, sunny-side up eggs and toast. A very big meal for less than $ 8. The diner was pretty empty on a mid-Saturday afternoon, so the staff kept offering coffee and water refills long after we had finished enjoying our meal. Definitely no rush to leave, which I always appreciate. I was also pretty impressed that they’re open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, unlike any other establishment in this area. So if you’re looking for some decent late night diner eats, Glendale Diner seems to be your best bet!
