Retained Mr Geiger after he responded to my search for legal counsel and requested he review the few documents I sent him to ensure he felt he was the right attorney to handle a business dispute. Paid $ 450 for consultation and future anticipated fees and during our consultation it became apparent that he did not read the documentation already sent as he sat reading them on my dime. Mr Geiger also spent time chatting about his dogs, roommate, family life before moving to Arizona as well as friends who own a jewelry store. Weeks later I contacted Mr Geiger for an update and found out that nothing had been done. Two business days before another home inspection by Registrar of Contractors Mr Geiger faxed a letter which contained information already addressed by Registrar of Contractors. I was less than pleased with his rather late letter and advised him I no longer needed his services and requested the remaining funds to be reimbursed since he would no longer be continuing any future work per his email. I requested that $ 100 be returned, Mr Geiger offered $ 50 and he said he would like to address my concerns if I objected to $ 50, which I did and never heard from him again.
Needless to say Mr Geiger did not remit any of the funds.
Mr Geiger must feel that a letter that was misdated and contained inaccurate statements was worth $ 450.
Mr Geiger is aware that I’m battling cancer and certainly could have used the funds to pay medical bills but Mr Geiger must really need it more than I do and business must not be good. Not a surprise!!!
You should be ashamed of yourself, Mr Geiger. Stick to doing wills if that’s your area of expertise and stop referring to your team and staff when it’s only you, alone in a rented office.
And a faxed letter is extremely unprofessional and you obviously weren’t taken seriously at all.
Be leery of an attorney who is eager to represent you and then you don’t hear from. If my mind was clearer from radiation treatments and fatigue I would have been more aware of his shortcomings and fired him sooner. I hope he sleeps well ripping of a cancer patient.
