Their chocolate soft serve machine is broken and the girl at the counter said they have no plans to fix it because it’s broken(so sad!). It hurts me to give Fosters 3 stars, since it brings back so many childhood memories. got a chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve(since they don’t have chocolate) — it was yummy, as always!

There was alot of customers(frustrated) with only 2 employees. We waited a while to just order then more time to give us ice cream. Everything looked really good I didn’t know what to order!!! But overall I’d come back.

Cramer here for the food though it has a fun old fashioned ice cream look. Spicy Chicken sandwich was awesome. Ham and cheese toast was dry but the first sandwich well made up for it!

I grew up down the street and this was my go-to spot for fast food. There is a Jack in the Box right next to it but I would choose Fosters over it anyway! The burgers are always well cooked and the different types of fries are my favorite. I never have to wait because they’re quick and the employees are always working hard. Oh and the ice cream is unbeatable. Love fosters!!!

Update on 6÷16÷16: My spouse and I decided to give this place one more chance today. When we arrived, we saw a big«B» grade from the L.A. County Department of Health. When we entered, there was a puddle of water near the ordering counter. It was from a self serve water dispenser that people had likely spilled as they were pouring water for themselves. I told the young man before we ordered our meal that there was water there. He said, «Yeah, I was about to clean it up.» For the record, from the time we entered until the time we left, which was thirty-five minutes, the puddle was never cleaned up. This concerned me as their floor there is very smooth, similar to the smoothness of marble, so the water made it very slippery in that area. When we received our food(we both ordered cheeseburgers), the meat tasted stale to me and to my spouse. It didn’t taste fresh in my opinion and in her opinion. The fries were great as was the soda that we ordered. But not the meat. I will likely end my patronage of this fast food establishment from here on out. ____________ The cheeseburger I had there today was pretty good. The service; not so good. First, the blonde haired young male worker could not get our order straight. This process took longer than it should have. At the end of the ordering, I told him I’d love an unsweetend iced tea. He said that they didn’t carry it. I told him, «You should really tell the owner to start carrying it because a lot of people like unsweetened iced tea.» Just a comment from me. He said, «Most people don’t mind sweetened iced tea.» I thought to myself(but didn’t say), «So, you’re saying what I would prefer doesn’t matter.» He then said, «Plus, it’s very expensive to carry anyways.» That’s just not true. It occurred to me then that he just didn’t want to deal with my request or my suggestion, and so I let it go. But I didn’t like it. He needs a little more customer training in the way of friendliness and taking suggestions to the owner in a positive way. Will I bring my business back there again; we shall see. But I’m not feeling it today.

I’m here on my lunch break and I will never come here again. I ordered an old fashioned burger, probably the simplest thing on the menu, and 20 minutes later(after I see people who ordered after me getting their food) I found out they forgot about my order entirely. He’s back there now making my burger(hopefully) but I’m hangry(angry because of how hungry I am) and I wasted my whole lunch hour waiting on them. My recommendation is that they get more than one person back there cooking on a weekday lunch hour.

This place is one of my childhood favorites. Even now I take my son on rides on my scooter and we always end the ride with a chocolate shake and fries at this fine establishment. We ride right up to the outdoor window and order without even taking our helmets off. Very cool! The burgers and the rest of the grill fare is good but not great. The real reason people come here is for the soft serve menu. They must have fifty items to offer. Stick with the original chocolate dipped soft serve ice cream, or maybe a dipped half and half. They also have Twisters, malts, banana splits and the like that you might also enjoy. Ice cream baby!

Continues to be the worst service and product ever– slush machine broke again– ordered swirl cone that was so soft the ice cream squashes while it sits on the cone? Really? You can’t even get your most basic product right? Then when asked for a cup, you hand me a drinking cup so thin the cone now flattened and melting in my hand too large to fit in the cup? I’m sorry but this business deserves to be out of business– see you at your bankruptcy auction– I need a flat grill for my Super Bowl party. Good riddance.

As Fosters Freeze is within walking distance of my house and I wanted to take my kiddo on a date and I know she loves soft serve, so we walked on over for a late Sunday afternoon treat. This location is really unappealing from the curb. The façade could use some work and at some point, they chose to mostly enclose the outdoor seating area. I am okay with a covered patio as even in hot weather, sitting in the blazing sun isn’t ideal, but this is sort of a weird enclosure. The parking lot is also pretty drab as it pretty much takes up most of the property, though I never see many people here anytime I pass by. The inside has been renovated in the last 15 years or so and it is certainly nicer than the outside, but if you look at competing chains, it’s a far cry from attractive. All 3 stars are for the staff. I’ve been here a few times and the people behind the counter have always been pretty cheerful, and nice. My daughter dropped her cone nearly as soon as I put it in her hands and the cashier had no problem replacing the cone and didn’t have a look on her face like ‘I should probably charge you for this…’ Ice cream is okay. Not as good as Dairy Queen, but certainly a refreshing treat. Based on other visits, the food is mediocre. Not super flavorful and the grilled cheese uses American cheese though the Texas toast is thick and crispy. I’ll come from time to time due to proximity, but this wouldn’t be my choice if other soft serve places opened in the area.

Food here is good. Love the shakes and ice cream here. The owner of this place is laid back and he makes sure service is phenomenal. I got the double decker combo meal with an order of spicy deep fried green beans and a cookies and cream ice cream. Very affordable and delicious. The restaurant is clean and there’s a lot of parking. Located on the corner of glenoaks and grandview

This place is nostalgic for me. I used to come here every Sunday as a kid with my parents and grandparents to eat some great soft served ice cream and some deliciously greasy grilled cheese! Their ice cream and grilled cheese is still as delicious as ever, however, their burgers and fries can improve a bit. They still taste good, but they’re just so plain. They can really spice it up a bit!

The kid working behind the counter was so polite that I want to shake his mother’s hand. Fosters, if you’re reading this, give that guy a raise. I hadn’t been to this location in several years, but they’ve really cleaned the place up since my last visit. I ordered two chocolate dipped cones(one was for my mom, if you’re curious — I’m not a monster), and my half chocolate/half vanilla soft serve was really good. The kitchen looked really clean, I would definitely come back and try the non-dessert menu items.

After bicycling by here for 2 months, I stopped in. One, the guy at the front counter reminds me of a young Keanu. He is really cool. We chatted about hiking in the area. I got 2 corndogs and a vanilla cone. Next time I want to try their burgers cause the pictures of them look tasty. I’ve come to find that I enjoy places that look like they come out of the 50’s/60’s/70’s. Don’t ever renovate this shop, please!

The yummiest cleanest fast food joint in town and the next town and the one next to that. Try their grilled chicken sandwiched in wheat bread. Their sandwiches come fat with real juicy patties of meat, it’s visually and orally delightful. You can’t really call it fast food. I got snickers ice cream with hot fudge and nuts for dessert and I’m super duper happy rn.

LARGE Reese’s Twister in the summertime is the bizness… So much that it takes me 2 sittings to finish the monstrosity. It’s so good… We had a volunteer at work who part-timed here(his aunt/uncle owned the place) and I told him Dairy Queen advertises you can hold the Blizzard upside down with no spillage or losing any of the good stuff. He told me to come down and he’d make me a Reese’s Twister to rival that of DQ. He did… Held it upside down and everything. HAHA… I also like grape slushes here… Large of course. Brain freeze waiting to happen but oh so necessary. Cant forget the chocolate dipped vanilla cones. A summertime classic… Strike that. An every day classic. Service has always been friendly. I’ve only gotten takeout here or just finished up my cone in the parking lot. Lots of parking. Lots of choices on food and drinks.
