DONOTBUYHERE! Look at all the bad reviews — they speak the truth! I did a gig in downtown Glendale and had a mic stand break. I rushed into this store and had the owner(Edwin) quote me $ 32 for a cheap mic stand. That was outrageous, but I had to have it so I bought it. It was completely worthless as it wouldn’t even hold the mic and cable without falling over! Then, I checked the receipt — he charged me $ 62 for a $ 19 stand! When I went back to return it, he flat out told me it wasn’t his problem and insisted I leave his store because I wouldn’t apologize to HIM! No, I’m not kidding!

Horrible place to shop! The manager is a con artist. Guitar strings are like 7 dollars each at his shop and he tried to buy a guitar off me for 40 $ when it was worth close to 200 $. Complete scammers. Never shop here, just go to the guitar center on sunset.

So I got a classic guitar there at first and it was alright but i realize it wasnt really what i wanted. When i first entered the store to get a guitar, the manager was very nice and helped me through my choices. He was really friendly too!!! He offered me a free clas which i thought was very nice of him. Then second time i went back to exchange the guitar because i realize i wanted a acoustic guitar instead, i got a dickhead teacher named Michael who thinks he’s the shit looking down on me thinking im poor. Hey, at least i am not making my parents paying my own interest, i am trying to work for it myself. And i have my own reasons why i don’t want to take classes. I’ve gotta admit he is good but he was being very dick about the«skills» he has and how«poor» i am wont be able to afford HIS classes. He gave me a «free» class that consists of less than 15 mins. The whole time he was bragging about how good he could play and tuning the guitar i wanted. After finding out i wont be able to take classes, he kept convincing me that i should keep my classic guitar and not thinking of getting the one more expensive. LOLSTFU, i paid my guitar 400+ with cash, okay? I worked that money myself saving it up. You played 30+ years and you’re still in an unknown corner teaching guitar. If you’re that good, why aren’t you signed? Seriously, i had a bad experience with the teacher. it was terrible… I’ve gotta say the other salesman were nice though and they really tried to help me out. I strongly recommend not to get the teacher though.

A little dirty. Seems like a hang-out for some old dudes, was pushed for a guitar lesson«NOW» and my change was given out of the guys wallet. If I had kids I wouldn’t let them in this place, or take them here for anything!

Unilocal has been pissing me off by deleting my First To Review finds and even some of my reviews. Well, not deleting but they appear and then disappear. And yet, I’ll be a sport and add another one of my music finds. This is a small store tucked away just out of sight from Brand Blvd near the Americana mall and the Glendale Marketplace. I believe it’s Armenian owned. It sells some new music instruments and some on consignment. It’s an okay spot to pick up some strings or parts. They also offer music and dance lessons. Parking is available but not right next to it. The curb is red zoned, parking on Brand is metered. There is also metered public parking nearby behind the Portos Bakery next to Damon’s Steak House.
