I’m giving it two stars because frankly, I’m not sure what this place is since I couldn’t find a door. I tried meeting a friend there thinking it was a cool new bar and the address led me to an apartment building on a nondescript residential street. No website to provide further explanation. They had me at ‘petting zoo’ and my hopes were elevated, but ultimately I was left confused and disappointed. What gives?

I did the typical «make me whatever you want» girl thing, and was super impressed with what they came back with. Somewhat a whiskey sour hybrid, somewhat the best cocktail ever!
The drinks are served on Texas coasters with one giant ice cube floating around like it could sink the Titanic. It had a nice trendy feel, but also homey even if you aren’t from Texas…

If you manage to find this place (its very nondescript) then you are going to have a fantastic night. Great cocktails. Nice atmosphere. A hidden gem that is sure to become more popular as more people discover it. Give them a ring before hand to make sure they have an available table. Very limited number of seats in this cozy lounge.

I went to El Tigre for the holiday mixer, best bar ever. Great holiday cocktail menu. The intimate atmosphere is great for the big groups and small mixers. Plus the bartenders are amazing! So much passion and care in every beverage made. Music is perfect. They have great black and white movies playing. I Looooove this place!!!

I came in here the other night not sure what to expect. The place is very homey, very intimate. The service was the same way. I found out later on that the bartender actually lives there.
The drinks were amazing, the people unique.
My only complaint is that the place is closed almost all the time, and that you have to call the bartender to open the place up. That is weird!

El Tigre Magnifico makes me smile! Whenever I’ve had a long day, I like to head over to ETM to unwind. They have an excellent selection of single malt scotches and man, does Matt know how to make a tasty cocktail! Matt’s homemade infused bitters (especially his Autumn bitters) transport me back to my mom’s kitchen when we used to bake apple pie. Matt doesn’t mess around either; he uses only the freshest ingredients grown in the ETM garden or from the local farmer’s market. Cary is also good for a funny tale or cartoon recommendations, and he’s very generous with his pours. The chips and laughs are never ending at ETM!

Even though I don’t drink, I love this place. Inside there’s a lounge area where you can hang out with your friends or play first GEN video games. It’s tiny but cozy inside with a beautiful courtyard outside where you can chill next to tropical fauna.
The holiday cocktails smell amazing. I don’t know how they mix such complicated but delicious drinks.
The food is great, too – burritos and tacos are their bread and butter. Also, endless chips and salsa in some seriously adorable serveware.
They have a great selection of scotch, if that’s your thing.
This is a great place to pick up tall skinny white guys if you’re a lady.

The place is tiny, but damn do they make the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Super friendly crew that isn’t shy to dance or sing along with you after you’ve drunk away the awfulness that was the day.
They specialize in whiskey and home made syrups.
