Came for dinner last night, just as a ‘paint night’ was finishing up, with a party of six. Thought they would turn us down, but welcomed us right in. The entire staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable from the waitress to the busboy. The food came out quick and is reasonably priced. The German food is quality and the portions are very big! I was very happy when the owner came over to check on us mid-meal and afterwards to ensure things were going smooth. Certainly a nice place and recommend to anyone in the area. Just be prepared to walk, find a parking spot as the area tends to be tight.

A great local restaurant. I like to just sit at the bar, at and watch sports on the TV. Tony is a fantastic bartender with the best memory. Always greats you by name even when it’s been months since you were last there.

Had Sunday brunch with a group of friends, and had a great time! The food was good and the price was even better. We had a lot of babies in our group, and was happy to see a clean bathroom with a changing table. My only problem was that I made a reservation through Unilocal the evening before, and when we arrived they didn’t receive my reservation. However, it wasn’t crowded so we were able to get a large table. Overall, we had a pleasant afternoon. Thanks.

Edison place is beautiful and clean, the staff is friendly but the food left much to be desired. On a Sunday afternoon my girlfriend and I ordered the duck breast and salmon filet, the duck was overcooked and the salmon was edible. I was hoping for more for the price.

I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve been here already. Friendly staff. Good service. Nice atmosphere. And they even have PaintNite and Trivia! Some things I recommend off the menu: Apps: –Crab Cakes –Chicken Wings –Pretzel Sticks Entrees: –Edison Burger –Bavarian Bratwurst –Glendale Wreck –Bacon Wrapped Filet –Chicken Cordon Blue –Jagerschnitzel On Fridays, I do recommend the pirogi’s! Made with some mushrooms and onion and quite tasty! They also have their own beer brew, the Edison Dark. I rarely partake in home brews but this one is my new favorite and I get it everytime I come here! You will not be disappointed with Edison Place. I do recommend, even if its just for a quick drink.

We came here after a funeral and let me just tell you from the moment we walked in this old lady(our waitress) was giving us these looks like if looks could kill we’d all be dead very unsociable and didn’t look like she wanted to be there, I’m sure there a lot of people looking for work… but other then that the food was really good def recommend the fish it had lots of flavor and their Black n Tan was good as well

My family has dined at Edison Place a few times now, and while experiencing somewhat slow wait service, the food was good and the waiter was friendly so they brought me with them for dinner last night. What a disaster. After being seated, we were ignored for 20 minutes, no bread or water, only menus to look at. Our waitress catered to the table directly behind us, but would not come to our table even after making eye contact with different members of my family multiple times. What was even worse was our waitress was sitting down at a table on her phone, not even trying to hide the fact that she was texting. Finally, after a half hour of being ignored, I hailed a different waiter just so we could place an order and get some water. The waiter apologized, if not somewhat insincerely, and placed our orders. After asking for some water, he asked if we would also like some bread and promptly brought some out. After some more time passed, out food came out. The dinner was good, nothing to rave about. We finished, got the check, and got out. I’m giving this place 2 stars for the inattentive wait staff as well as the lack of caring on our waitress’s part of the tables she should be waiting. Definitely will not come back.

If you’re in the area looking for good grub at a decent price I would suggest stopping in here. Place was clean and cozy. You can either come in plop down at the bar and watch the game or be seated in the restaurant area. Started with the chicken pops buffalo style and they were DELISH. I wish I had these at my local wing place because they were hot, meaty and juicy. I would definitely get them again. Also tried the pretzels and they were tasty too, soft and hot but nothing out of this world. Mustard dipping sauce had some sort of wasabi kick that was super spicey,(you’ll clear out those sinuses) For my entrée I ordered the Saturday special of beef Wellington. I ordered it rare after reading previous reviews of their meat being over cooked. Entrees took a little longer than usual to come out(and the place was fairly empty) but nothing unbearable. My entrée came out medium rare –medium I haven’t had much luck lately with restaurants cooking it right. That being said I tried it and it was very tender and had good flavor so I didn’t send it back. Serving size was huge! Barely ate half so I had another meal to bring home with me :). Was around $ 32. Mashed potatoes were super fluffy but definitely needed salt and pepper. Everyone I was with really enjoyed their meals. I tried a bit of the red cabbage and applesauce and it was good ! Had a light cinnamon taste to it. The waitress left water carafes on the table and kept them refilled so our glasses never ran out of water. I had a good meal and I would come back!

We eat out at least two nights per week and like to frequent neighborhood eateries, so that they stay in business. Edison Place has been referred to us by a few friends and being that we live in the adjacent neighborhood, we thought we’d give this place a try for a casual Sunday evening dinner. {My husband has been here for drinks and once for lunch. This was my first time. And, dinner a first for both of us.} Edison Place does not have a parking lot. There is street parking, but being that it’s in a residential neighborhood, be prepared to drive around looking for a spot.(This is not a huge issue for us. We live in NYC where parking is scarce.) No outside seating. They have waiter service and a full bar. TV’s in the bar area, which is separate from the dining room. The ambiance is casual and the noise level average. Upon arrival, we were greeted and immediately seated. The staff was pleasant. The dinner menu selection. although limited, has a good balance of appetizers, entrees and sides for everyone… seafood, poultry, meat, salads, vegetables. I am a vegetarian and have several food allergies. Although they do not have a vegan/vegetarian menu, they have several vegan & vegetarian options on the menu. The wine list was quite limited. However, they do have a full bar. We had been seated for about 15 – 20 minutes already when the waitress first approached our table. She was pleasant and greeted us with a smile. She took our drink order. We ordered a bottle of cabernet sauvignon and my husband ordered a scotch. Since we had had plenty of time to look over the menu, we placed our appetizer and dinner orders as soon as we were asked. At one point, we had to ask for the bread that is served to each table prior to dinner. My side house salad came to the table after we had finished the bread. Asked for more bread to eat with my salad… that came to our table after I finished my salad. We were not the only diners in the restaurant and there was only the one waitress. It wasn’t busy, but we understood and were not at all annoyed by the slow service to this point. We were happy with the wine and bread. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and sat in the bench seat facing the dining room. After two small baskets of bread and half a bottle of wine, I noticed that 3 tables that were seated after us were all served dinner. The waitress apologized and said ours was coming out. It wasn’t ours… it was for the 4th table that arrived after us. By now, after not having eaten at all during the day, we were getting slightly agitated. An hour and a half after having arrived, our food was delivered to our table.(YAY!) My husband ordered the Smoked Bacon-Wrapped Filet Mignon(without the bacon), which was served with baked potato, green beans and carrots. I ordered a naked baked potato and a steamed vegetable bundle. The filet mignon had been ordered medium and brought to the table well-done and the green beans and carrots were quite salty. My baked potato was just barely warm and my vegetables were cold… and, some raw. By now, we were hungry and more than annoyed. We sent our food back and asked for the check. Our waitress was quite apologetic about the food and also about the time it took for our food to be brought to us.(She said it was the kitchen… not her.) The owner(a friend of a friend) came to our table and apologized. He offered to redo our orders, but we declined, as we were hungry and did not want to wait another hour and a half to eat. To add insult to injury… We were charged $ 9 for my $ 5 side house salad and our 20% off coupon for checking in on Unilocal!was NOT honored on this check.(They did take the two dinners off the check.) The waitress had an excuse for both. The prices are moderate. The quality of service was not good. Our server was pleasant. However, our table was maintained at a very slow pace. Our dinners were unacceptable. The atmosphere was casual. Clean dining area. Restrooms were quite clean and fully stocked. Overall, quite disappointed with our dining experience.(My husband had previously dined here for lunch and had a much better experience.) We do believe in second chances, but I will not be visiting this establishment again(My husband may return for drinks… not to eat.)…not because of the poor service and/or unacceptable food(As we do realize that both service and food vary from day to day.), but because we were quite insulted by the check. We felt that we were taken advantage of and, because of that, we have rated this with one star.

We were told about this little gem by my Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law. They said the place was very good and Saturday nights, their special was Beef Wellington. My husband has been dying for Beef Wellington ever since he saw the chefs preparing it on one season of Hell’s Kitchen. So we went just so he can have that meal. When you enter the restaurant, the bar is on one side and the restaurant is on the other. The restaurant room was very open and you definitely did not feel like you were sitting on top of each other. It looked a little empty to me, but I think that is what the owner was going for. You definitely do not feel crowded like you do in so many other restaurants. It’s almost got the feeling of a rustic cabin, but cozier. Many times, when you are sitting in a restaurant with a bar in it and piped in music, you have to scream to the person you are dining with to be heard over the loud music. This is not the case at Edison’s Place. While the music was a nice touch, my husband and I could definitely speak at normal volume with no problem hearing each other. When you go, I strongly suggest you check-in through Unilocal right away. I frequently check-in at restaurants since joining Unilocal and this was the first restaurant that offered me a 20% discount(right on your phone) for checking-in. I showed it to the waiter and he removed 20% off of our tab. Very nice touch guys. Our waiter Arturo was wonderful. I asked his name so I can include him in my review and he asked for our names back. Once we told him he said«nice to meet you». You really feel like you are the only diners in the restaurant. While the place was not crowded(it was a Saturday night after all), I can only assume it was because not too many people know about this gem in Glendale. I am here to tell you that this is a must try. I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and the Shell Steak and my husband ordered the Beef Wellington of course. And although I ordered my Steak Medium Well and it was more like Medium(I could still see some pink) I ate most of it and it was still very juicy and tender. I just could not finish the entire meal and as I so often do, brought home leftovers. The restaurant has an upscale feel, but it is very casual and very reasonably priced even before the 20% discount. My reviews aren’t usually this lengthy, but this place deserves a wonderful, detailed review. The absolute only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the location. It is right off of Myrtle Avenue on a quiet street, but we had to drive around for 20 minutes just to find a parking spot. The only thing this place is missing is a parking lot. In conclusion, if you live in the Glendale area DONOT miss this place. It is worth every bite and dollar.

This place is awesome Steak potatoes and that dip WOW it’s a little pricey but when do you find a place that you can say I would gladly pay double for the meal I ate. The food Is amazing. Really does a good job you can tell care went into making the meal Sometimes you might find a waitress that is having a bad day,(never happened so far) guess what when you taste the food it will make up for it really It’s a big dish large meal sometimes I don’t finish it. When I bring it home and eat it. It’s still amazing. I truly love this place and will be coming here with my family for my birthday. I beg my wife to come here.

Really nice neighborhood restaurant. Food was good. They bring you fresh bread that is so soft and actually warm with this maple syrup butter that is to die for! I had the oysters for my appetizer and the lobster pot-pie as the entrée. The oysters were fresh and the lobster pot pie was descent but the lobster was slightly over-cooked. This is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been to. The entire place is spotless. Service is wonderful, very nice and attentive staff. Our waitress was very pleasant and very well informed. Will definitely go back to try more of their menu.

Have been wanting to try Edison Place for some time now and finally got to on Saturday night. It’s def a great place to watch a game over a few beers. We started with the crab cakes and mushroom tart. Carb cakes were full of lump crabmeat and not a lot of filler which is great but it needed a bit more flavor/spice, perhaps a pumped up remoulade. The tart was ok speck was delicious but tough, could’ve been sliced thinner. I had the lobster penne special in a vodka sauce with asparagus and sun dried tomatoes. I had high hopes for this one but was a little disappointed. Way too much sun dried tomatoes and a little too salty. My fiancé had the beef Wellington and thought it was ok as well, nothing to write home about. Overall meal I’d say was ok, perhaps next time we should stick to more typical pub fare. PS: check in on Unilocal for 20% off!!! Probability of return: possibly

This bar has a large selection of Drinks(Beer and Alcohol). Awesome American food. Portions are pretty big, Pretty Fresh, Pretty looking, Pretty good! Since I was around the area, found this local place, It was quiet on a Sunday Evening, but after looking at pictures and reviews, we gave it a shot. Ordered Shrimp cocktails and Crab Cakes for Appetizer. Shrimps are HUGE(at least 4 Inches long). The Crab Cakes were Meh(Too much Stuffin, couldn’t find any crab meat in it). Each one of us ordered different Things. — I ordered a Chicken Milanese with Arugula salad on the side. Pretty Well Battered, light and Chicken meat was perfect. — Friend of mine Ordered a Grilled Atlantic Salmon Steak… is pretty HUGE!(no wonder they called it a steak). Well done and it was made to perfection, I thought I was going to bey dry and no flavor, but it was totally tendered, fresh flavors of the Salmon with some seasoning. But the side that came in(Zuchinni, potato, Mushroom and Tarragoon), Was too oily, there was a lot of oil floating around the bowl. — The Carnivore friend ordered the New York Shell Steak… Medium rare(and came out medium). With the side of Crème Spinach and Dauphinoise Potatoes(they were all stacked up in layers). He said it was good. I didn’t tasted it because I was too busy with my own entrée. After all, WE decided to share the Dessert which was Nutella Crêpe with Vanilla Ice cream. It was light, it wasn’t heavy nutella. It was perfect just to have a scoop or two of sweet in your belly by the end of the day. Service was friendly and quick. Would come back here when I’m in the area. Total Bill came out around $ 120(drinks, appetizer, entrée and dessert). Not bad for 3 people**** — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – ****= If you check in on Unilocal you might get % on the bill.
