My family & I came from Colorado to visit decided to stop by for late Night snack after a trip to the beach & looking at the donuts they had bugs crawling all over the donuts, some of them where covered w plastic rap, the others full of bugs. Look before you buy, & look close! Good luck!

(Snacked 01÷13÷16 W @ 1:00am): This late-night adventure with old Christina shouldn’t have happened! An evening of catching up, drinking, and grubbing with a life-long friend was capped off at Christina’s Donuts among the juxtposition of erected skeletons of new apartment complexes and the overpriced Americana at the intersection of Colorado St. and Brand Blvd. Truth be told, this was the second stop in my passive search for the best apple fritter(the first place we went to was sold out). Was it worth the extra effort!?: Apple Fritter($ 1.50) — Not that I was an apple fritter snob — fuck it… yes I was! — but there was a certain way I liked mine. First, the price was on-par with other comparable ones I’ve eaten. Second, it didn’t have much girth and although not the size of my face(an ode to the great Goldstar Donuts) it was the size of my hand. Third, there was a minimal amount of apple bits in each bite. Fourth, the overall deep dark brown color was appealing like a tanned beauty at the beach! It had many crunchy odd crannies, corners, and nooks which I liked to break off into small little morsels. Fifth, it had been out for awhile and not warm, and there were no hints of tiny oil pockets that leaked into your mouth and dripped down your throat; and, it had a doughy texture. All in all, I knew better than to expect a fresh fritter past midnight, but the price, size, lack of apple, and doughiness left a bad taste in my mouth. Glazed Twist Bar($ 0.80) — I grabbed a pinch of my friend’s donut just to try. It wasn’t warm and truly nothing to write home about. Heck… I’ve wasted enough time on this already! Minute Maid Orange Juice Medium Size($ 1.75) — I took a small swig of my friend’s OJ. Other than pricey, what else needed to be said?! Service — There was a sole older Asian gentleman who came out from the kitchen and greeted us once we entered. He patiently waited for us to make our decisions, we chit-chatted through his broken English, paid, and sat at a table while he disappeared into the back. A pretty straightforward effort. Parking(Free) — They shared a narrow barely 16-spot private lot with about five other businesses — Yoshinoya being the largest business. Otherwise, there was metered parking on all surrounding streets(valid daily from 8:00am-8:00pm) or free at the nearby Glendale Galleria and just walk it. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — Your typical donut/drinks/sandwich stand with the main feature the counter display of fried tasty pastries as you entered , a refrigerator with cold drinks and an ATM on your right , a colorful and somewhat easy-to-read visual menu board above and behind the counter , yet surprisingly no packaged snacks. A handful of formica tables with egg yolk-colored benches were placed about in the front and back. Soul-sucking fluorescent ceiling lighting covered this place although the large front glass walls allowed for natural lighting during the daytime. There were no TVs, but there seemed to be a radio that played from the kitchen. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, I wouldn’t make a another date with Christina’s Donuts anytime soon; I wasn’t that desperate. As with most donut shops these days, they were diversified and also served bagels, croissants, muffins, sandwiches, various drinks, and I should at least try their boba in hopes for some redeeming quality. They were 24 Hours which was always a plus, but for what I wanted I didn’t care for. I found decent value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(TOTAL paid experience was around $ 4.00; no tip required). And, CASHONLY so no credit cards accepted especially mine of choice… AMEX! 2.5STARS

Pretty crap– the donuts are the smallest and thinnest I’ve seen in my life. My chocolate glaze on my bar was the width of a finger at one point. I mean, donuts are cheap, but really– do you have to be THAT stingy?!

I will never come in to this donut shop ever again. We asked to play hot spot. We bought our tickets and waited for the screen to be tuned on and it never did. Bad service.

I had the chocolate glaze and the pastry was ok but a little thin but the glaze tasted good. The croissants are also just okay. The pastry was too thick. I was about to give this a 2 because the girl behind the counter couldn’t understand my question that I just gave up on asking but then a supervisor who was listening to the convo politely told me that she understood what I wanted and she could have it prepared for me. I just wanted a croissant with regular cheese instead of the cream cheese that they had on the menu.

Simply put if you can go to a different donut shop go there if not its ok, nothing great. Didn’t really like the donuts but it was a quick decision made after dinner for some late night sweets. I think I would have been better off stoping at rite aid for some ice cream.

I will get the positive stuff I have to say on the table first: The staff was patient withe personally. My Iced Coffee tasted fine, I enjoyed my pastries mostly. Now here comes the bothersome bits: First off, my gf(who is hugely lactose intolerant) asked a specific question, does a specific drink have milk in it. We might as well have asked what was at the bottom of a black hole. The first girl had no idea and no information and had to run into the back for details. Which was finally a yes, so we asked to substitute the milk(juice or water even), and no can do. Okay. Whatever. But they then offered to use a non dairy creamer to make the drink. Which is nice. But spoiler alert, there was no fucking chance they ever used any as the end result of that particular drink was not pleasant and was loaded with milk/dairy. So fuck you for that, seriously. Second, the breakfast burrito was bad, just dry and lifeless and I suspect an old tortilla. While this is not their fault, the parking in that lot sucks. And I would not recommend using it.

I had gone nearby to Big Jim’s first because they had a better Unilocal rating but they literally had no donuts. I came here because I REALLYWANTED A DONUT! These were not the best nor were they the worst, but at least they had donuts. I ate a chocolate twist, a glazed filled with cherry filling(I squeezed out the filling) and I had a couple of bites of an apple fritter. All of the donuts were small and thin so pretty easy to chomp down a few. I did like that the chocolate glazed wasn’t too sweet or heavy with chocolate flavor so if you really, really love chocolate you probably won’t love this.

2 stars for the person working at 2pm shift today 5⁄2. Busy helping others customers and she just tells me to keep waiting. I ended walking out since she started to do something else. 5 stars to the person who works the night shift. Always welcoming and helpful. More customers would come to this establishment of there was any customer service.

I really wished this place would have delivered on my expectations. Unfortunately, It is your average«divey» donut spot. If you’re craving something sweet on a random late Night, like we were, it may be worth a try. However, I wish I would have taken a picture of my «cronut». Yeahhhhh… I’m guessing there are different takes on that! Prices aren’t bad. Service is much to be desired. Try this place if you want.

$ 3.75 for bacon, ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant, made to order. They have coffee, donuts, and an extensive scratch-off lottery ticket selection. Clutch breakfast spot.

Am here as we speak, crazy worker 10:00 pm wearing a Bluetooth headset. Soooooooo much attitude wow!!! Crazy lady we have here. I get it, it’s a donut shop. But goddam have a little respect. How about a smile. Crazy negative lady. Having a full on conversation with random guys sitting down, instead of taking my order. Plus their sodas were expired I’ll post a picture

I love stopping by here in the morning. They have the best tasting Ham & Cheese croissant. Make sure you get it extra warmed up, that way it’s still warm wren you get to work. The parking lot is very small, but early in the morning is not too crowded. It’s a cash only place so be ready. The ladies who run this location are very nice.

I live close by and thought I’d check it out. The place is very meh. The biggest attraction is that it’s cheep. They have a range or sandwiches either on a soft roll or croissant that are all around $ 4 and I can pretty confidently say that it’s the best $ 4 sandwich I’ve had. I’ve had the ham and cheese, roast beef and turkey and they are all ok. Nohting mid blowing, but If you are on a budget it beats fast food. One of the other big attractions is that the place is open 24⁄7 so if you need a late night kick, it isn’t a bad option.
