The facts: The selection is very small. Especially considering the price. The few choices available for the bbq were nothing special. My biggest complaint is the noodles… Spaghetti noodles? Really? All they offered was spaghetti noodles. It blew me away. No Soba, No Udon, No nothing I have come to know about Mongolian BBq joints. When she saw my face she tried to convince me that it was good that way. That people come back just for her spaghetti noodles. I bit my tongue and passed on them. I just finished selecting from the very few veggies, meats and let it off to cook. I took it home and pan cooked some soba noodles myself and dropped the bbq onto it. My sauce combo tasted good and it was well cooked… But I will never return. You can not convince me that spaghetti noodles are a natural companion to stir fry veggies and meats. In the beginning I was sad for the tiny selection, then made even more sad by the noodles. I will try a different place next time for sure.

I keep trying this place and am always disappointed; it expensive, food is just okay. Worst egg drop soup I’ve ever had. The cook rushed us through the line and couldn’t believe our audacity that we wanted to make up our own sauce. Sorry

The food was fresh and delicious. The owners are so friendly and helpful. I went with a large group and it was a great time. My only complaint is that I am gluten sensitive and I chose the sauces for bowl based on what looked gluten free. During the cooking though they ladled some sauce on that was dark. Pretty positive that sauce had gluten in it. Otherwise it was a great experience.

We’ve been regulars here for over 5 years. We always order either the chicken bowl, beef bowl or shrimp fried rice, and they are all delicious. Hong and John are the owners and always greet us by name. It’s a good place to go for a quick meal, and we believe in supporting local businesses.

Plain Jane exterior, plain Jane interior. But friendly staff, it’s clean, the ingredients are fresh and the food good. It’s close to my office and it’s a quick lunch that isn’t fried or fast food.

$ 13.45 for lunch with rice and a soda. I found the included soup more salty than savory. It Asian Grill was more around $ 8 for lunch I’d be more apt about it. The service earned this place the second star.

If I had to choose one meal before I died, it would be Mongolian Bar B Q from here. I love the fresh ingredients that’s cooked with your choice of protein. I come here with my husband and kids sometimes. We live up north, but its well worth the drive.

About 5:30 and came in for dinner(has been a while since I have been here). I discovered a completely empty restaurant that appears not to have air conditioning on or hardly any lights on. I hate to see a struggling business, especially when the owners r nice. But I think I figured out part of the; problem.,. 14.32 plus 2.00 tax for a bowl of vegetables and pork, some white rice And a small bowl of soup(i picked one that was 2.99 extra I believe). yes it is a chain, but hard not to chose 12.99(bigger) bowl at Bd Mongolian grill that comes w unlimited soup and salad. It comes down to how long I want to wait in line, the atmosphere, and a desire(or none) to support local businesses. PROS: friendly staff, tasty food, fresh ingredients, no waiting I line CONS: uncomfortably hot and dark, very expensive in comparison To other mongo an grills; eerily empty restaurant. BOTTOMLINE: good place to go by yourself for a quick bite, but will break my bank to become a regular diner…

Jeez. Reading the other reviews, you’d think this place was mediocre at best, but that’s just not the case. Yes, it’s a strip mall restaurant, what are you looking for? Fine dining? The fact is the place isn’t fancy but it’s really good food and both times I’ve been there the staff has been really friendly and really cared that you enjoyed your food. What else can you want? Both times on the way out the cook and server have made sure I enjoyed what I ate. Unless you’re a glutton, you shouldn’t need more than a bowl to fill you up, so $ 9 isn’t a bad deal for a sit-down restaurant [do note that they do not have alcohol here]. Soup is complimentary, but rice is extra but you shouldn’t need it. If you do, then it’s enough for 2 meals. In terms of choices, it’s no frills — I don’t know what bd’s has, but pretty much your standard meat and veg fare is there for your choosing. If you’re overwhelmed by sauce choices, the server will make something for you so you don’t have to run the risk of getting something too bland or too hot for your tastes. I’m convinced they know I’m the adventurous white guy because they don’t hold back the heat when I tell them I like it HOT!

This place was such a let down that I took their card so I could remember to never come back. I love Mongolian BBQ and I feel bad if anyone thinks this is the norm. There is a very small selection and many items have an extra cost added. Shrimp and an egg should be included in a buffet style place. Especially considering this place is quite spendy. You also only get one bowl and it isn’t a very big bowl. You can spend the same amount to go to somewhere like BD’s or the BBQ place on Arapahoe and you get unlimited bowls, a ton more ingredients and you get to watch them cook it and have waiter service. The inside is a bit awkward but I don’t expect a ton from a strip mall.

I’m not sure how people are giving this place such high stars. I came here with several friends who were visiting from out of town. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant(7p on a wednesday). You buy your meal by the bowl. Eggs are extra. I know my way around a «mongolian bbq» and take quite a bit of pride in producing an excellent combination dish. This place leaves much to be desired. The food is just«ok». The real travesty however, is that it’s too expensive for what it is. $ 16 for one bowl, tea, and two eggs.

Really good Mongolian BBQ. It’s may not have as many options ad BD’s but it still tastes great.

One of the best mongolian bbq places. The staff is very sweet and remembers us, so we’ve become regulars because of this. The food is fresh, and they put the meat away when no one is at the bar so it stays the proper temperature. This place is spotless and so clean, it makes you feel good knowing everything is sanitized and at the correct temperature. The food here is good, the only thing here I avoid is the house sauce, it’s too salty for me. But I love everything else here, amazing food.

Wonderful place! The staff always remembers us by name and are super friendly — always the best part :) They have a great selection of ingredients and sauces and I love watching them cook it up fresh. I love my food super hot and they’ve got plenty of Sriracha sauce to go around. If you’re not into the whole selection process, you can order off a menu with items such as sesame chicken, which is also really yummy. I’d like to see the inside get an update at some point, maybe even make some modest/economical changes to make the inside a little more inviting. Either way, this place is awesome!

I think this place is great. What a great alternative to what’s in this neighborhood. You got your noodles, Qdoba, Chili’s, and of course McD’s(this ain’t no Highlands baby) You can go in and create your meal by choosing from fresh ingredients. Items range from carrots, bamboo shoots, peppers, eggs, pineapple to beef, pork, and tofu. Once you cram your bowl full of whatever floats your boat that day, you can choose from a variety of sauces(which you can mix and match too) then they throw it all on this giant wok and cook it up. You can choose from white or brown rice. There are soups and apps too. I believe eggs and brown rice are up charges, not sure what else is. The owners are always very friendly and helpful. I remember the first time I wondered in, I had no clue what this was about and they helped me through the whole process. I’ve taken some out of town guests here for an experience that they defiantly can’t get back in our small hometown in PA.

Fantastic. Non-commercial, non-hype. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. I wonder if the people who gave it bad reviews would prefer a chain. We dislike chains although they do serve their purpose. Items on the bar where not nearly as huge as BD Mongolian grill, but I like the simplicity. The iced jasmine tea was wonderful, I gulped down several glasses. No bar, but we don’t always need to be chugging down booze, do we? We will definitely be back.

Every time I go into Mongolian BBQ my meal is a bit different, depending on my mood that day. Pineapple? Maybe some tofu? Definitely a ton of fresh broccoli, carrots, mushrooms and lots of onions and my pick of chicken, pork or beef… maybe a little of all three! If you haven’t tried this Mongolian BBQ, you should. The food is always prepared quickly, the soups that come with the meal are delish and the employees are really great. The lady who rings us up always remembers we like sweet and sour sauce for our rice and she even cooked us up on little fried donuts covered in sugar this past time. The choice of «sauces» is plentiful. House, garlic, red pepper flakes, etc. I like a little of each and my dinner always tastes good. Comes with a choice of brown or white rice. Okay, yes. They do use tiny bowls but like I said, if you stuff that thing just right(wash your hands first) you can get a meal for two days. It looks strange being in a stripmall next to Dominos and Smashburger but it’s a great meal for around $ 9.

The Asian Grill on Colorado Blvd was a pretty nice place. Let’s see how it stacks up: Name: The name Asian Grill is kind of unimaginative. There are dozens of restaurants with«Asian Grill» as the suffix to their name in the Denver area. «Moon Gate Asian Grill», «Hoong Gate Asian Grill», «Jaya Asian Grill», just to name a few. Does this Asian Grill want me to think that they are the best Asian Grill simply because they are just«The» Asian Grill? Sorry, it does not do it for me. D Environment: The restaurant is classic low-grade, old-style strip mall fare. Kind of small, and filled with generic furniture, the space could have easily been a Taste-E-Freeze if not for the miscellaneous Asian-esque pictures on the walls. To snazzy it up, faux-plants and ivy are all over a central low wall and along the ceiling. Even the ladies washroom got into the act with a dozen fake flowers lining the bottom of one of the walls(see pictures). I love it when they are like this. The crappier the restaurant, the better the food. B+ Food: The Asian Grill is primarily a Mongolian BBQ. Luckily they have this blazoned across their front windows, otherwise I would have passed them up. How can you not like Mongolian BBQ? You pick out what you like and the sauce in which it is cooked. The selection at the buffet was adequate. It met all of my needs, but was only half the size that I am used to seeing at other Mongolian BBQ places. Present: Beef, Pork, Chicken. Not Present: Buffalo, Zebra, Llama. B– Price: The bill stacks up quickly, so watch out. I almost had a heart attack from the sticker shock for my meal. For three people, it was almost $ 40(before tip)! The Mongolian BBQ is $ 7.99 for one bowl, one time through. Add a pop and you near $ 10. Rice is extra. D– Despite the higher prices and the lower quality of the restaurant, the place was fairly packed. I think it is fairly popular with the locals. If I was ever in the area again, I wouldn’t mind going back.

Oh, IT’S SOBAD, YOULEAVENOW! That’s what I’d say to customers coming in if I were standing at their door, with no shame. The concept is very fun. You take a plate when you first walk in, fill it with raw ingredients, which you choose from the raw ingredients bar. You walk up to the huge wok, and hand your plate to the chef, he grills it for you and hands it back to you. What could go wrong? Ah, Are you a chef? Do you know how to make good Mongolian food? No! No, you don’t! Every time I’m there my food tastes like cheap soy sauce, that’s it, that’s all you get, soy sauce flavored. I’m not a chef, or a cook, or even handy in the kitchen, that’s why I eat out. This place is yuckier than home! Nobody wants that.
