My husband and I recently came here for dinner on a weekday. He ordered the Banh Mi Sandwich and I ordered the Phở soup. He enjoyed his sandwich and i liked my soup but I prefer the spicy ‘n’ sour phở soup with no sole. Its the best. Our server’s name is Alan. He did a great job in our opinion. He brought our food right away and even gave refills on our drinks without us having to ask. We really appreciate that since we hate having to hunt down a waiter/waitress for a refill at any restaurant. I remember back when this restaurant first opened, they had a waiter who liked telling stories to the customers even if we start eating he would still stand there telling stories… Glad he wasn’t there. Overall, great experience. I recommend asking for the waiter named Alan for excellent service.

We came here for lunch on a Monday around lunch hour. It was relatively slow so service was fast. The phở was tasty and the Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious. My bf ordered the spicy and sour phở he really liked it. Also the sriracha wings are a must, they were very tasty! Overall we had a good experience.

I usually don’t give 1 star for this place but just really had bad service and not so good food. We came here for my bestfriend’s birthday since we are craving for some phở. Since we were at glendale galleria that time and that’s the nearest thai place so we just went there. We were seated right away upon entering this place. We had a server that was really weird and kind of rude. I got a thai iced tea for my drink, since it’s my favorite drink everytime. I was disappointed knowing that it wasn’t housemade and it’s just a bottled drink. The drink wasn’t really good at all. I had some phở and the broth was good but I hope they give more toppings. :(more beef brisket or something. Overall, wasn’t really good experience.

Good for mall Vietnamese food, but if you’re up for some better stuff I’d try something a tad less commercial. Nice place to sit and take a break in between the Gap and Banana Republic.

I got the phở bo and added some baby corn to it and I thought it was delicious especially when you add the lemon, basil, jalapeño, bean sprout medley. I’ve only tried phở at a little hole in the wall in brea and this was way better! The Vietnamese iced coffee was actually delicious too and I’m not a fan of the chicory either there’s a few bad reviews on service but I was always noticed and the waitress kept coming by to check on us. Give it a shot!

Terrific customer service they seem to be aware of their inadequate service. Attempting to correct the situation based on earlier Unilocal reviews. Management must be reading. Unfortunately, their phở is somewhat bland compared to their original West Hollywood location. Something is missing from the kitchen. Doubt I’ll return to the Glendale location. Stick with the WestHo operation.

We came here late on Friday evening for dinner. I got a Blackboard Eats 30% off special. The location is nice, and the outside is really nice with the fire pits. We would have sat outside if it wasn’t cold. The food was decent. I wouldn’t say it was the best Vietnamese I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t bad. Without the 30% off though, I think it would have been too overpriced for what it was. Our server, Alan was great. Very sweet. However, when we came in this guy did not want to seat us. We came at like 8:45 and they technically close at 9(wayyyy too early for a Friday). We complained and the manager(who was so sweet) sat us right away. So again, not the best, but if I was at the Galleria or Americana, I might go there and give them another try.

I guess i came on a good day? i’m surprised at all the bad reviews… The hostess is sat us down right away(she is extremely hot by the way, wow). Our server Alan was literally one of the best waiters i’ve had in years… please give this guy a raise! The vegan spring rolls were delicious, and the vegetable rice was great. I didn’t try a lot of items so maybe i just got lucky. Give this place another chance!

The reviews scared me but I’m so glad I stopped in today! My server Karen was so awesome! I got the curry chicken phở and a order of crunchy rolls, both were so delicious. The host were so polite and the manager stopped by table and thank us for stopping in. I will be back!

I can’t believe there is more than one branch! Everyone knows it’s all about the broth. I got the phở bo & this place just didn’t cut it for me! I read the wet dog review and kind of agree. funky flavor! The portion of noodles alone could cause them to go bankrupt. One and done for me. One star for the service.

This place is a trap. First: Their Phở tastes and smells like a wet dog. Like a dog that came in from the rain and sat in your bowl. I love phở — I know it has a raw chicken smell/taste. This wasn’t that — this was sour puppy. That’s fine. Worst part: Our waiter was the only one working the outside area(only 4 tables) but took 20 minutes to notice us. After we ordered and got our food he disappeared. I had to walk up to another waiter inside for soy sauce, water and our check. All separate trips. The last trip still resulting in no check, so we had to ask the hostess for it as we left. Any of this could’ve been placated with a simple apology. When I mentioned how terrible it all was the hostess unapologetically acted like they were really busy… but less than a quarter of the restaurant was full. We watched two tables leave. We should of done the same. The fire columns were nice.

We sat here for over 20 minutes and nobody came by. Finally, they brought the cup of water, super dirty! They claimed that they ran out of cups for water. But is it right to bring a dirty cup?(Picture posted). And finally we ordered, and before bringing our food, someone brought us a check! I did not even eat! Food came like 30 minutes later. Chaos!

I love phở. I really do. But the phở I got from here, no bueno. The noodles and broth was good but the chicken inside was gross. I had to physically remove all the chicken pieces because they tasted very chicken-ey. I dumped whatever sauce I could to make it better but it still wasnt great. They brought out such little basil and they were surprised when I asked for the sauces. Any great phở place would know that Hoisen sauce is what I am talking about. Also, for spicy sauce they brought me Sriacha. Like really? You dont have a house hot sauce? The noodles were good but that was all.

Will you like this place? Depends on how much you like waiting. Came in and got seated just fine. Got our drinks out quickly(the Vietnamese coffee was really good). Then we ordered and started playing The Waiting Game. Came on a Tuesday and maybe 5 table were seated(maybe 30% full) so I was expecting the kitchen would be moving quickly. Got food 30 minutes after ordering and one dish was cold(possibly sitting in the kitchen while we were hungry at out table). To their credit they re-made it. As for the food: the Phở was good. The Vietnamese taco was pretty terrible. Pretty oily and meat was burned. Also, the entrée portion was way too small for $ 12 imo. Slow service and below average food gives this place 2 stars.

We decided to give this place a try on a normal Monday afternoon and we ended up waiting and never receiving our food till over an hour. 20 minute way to sit down, 30 minute wait to order, 45 minute wait to get food. Horrible service and food. OH, but guess what the place was only 15% full lol. I guess they send their workers home to cut back on service. Guess we’re never coming back. Not to mention the workers here can care less on who orders or says what. Our entire order came wrong and we were with 6 people. Nothing was on time, nothing came accurate, and food was not even fresh.

We came in at 7pm on a Sunday evening. Mall was packed, but this spot was not busy. Just glancing from the outside, we saw at least 6 – 8 tables open. We went to the receptionist to get seated and we were told it would be a 25 min wait! I commented about all the available tables open. They replied that they«busy and trying to get caught up!» Yet they had at least 4 hostesses working. So basically, they were under staffed on a Sunday…2 weeks before Christmas!

This place was atrocious. I actually had to make a complaint about my food for the first time ever in my life. DONOTGETTHE Vietnamese Noodle from this place. It was bland, soggy, and not edible. One star is for the good service we received. I felt bad for the waiter because it’s not he’s fault tha food sucked.

UPDATE: HOLYCR@P! First of all, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all and my food took over 35 min to be prepared. –1 star Second, got my food, opened the box of WHAT I FREAKINGTHOUGHTWASSUPPOSETOBEMYSPRINGROLLS and it came out to be 5PINKYSIZEDEGGROLLS!!! GOTMYORDERWRONG?! HOLYYY! I got even MORE angry when I saw that! –1 star Third, FISHSAUCEISSH! T!!! What kind of Vietnamese fish sauce is gooey??? It’s not suppose to be a gelatin like consistency! Plus, it doesn’t taste anything like fish sauce! It’s sweet and sour jello dip! –1 star Lastly, the banh mi… MOTHEREFF, I ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich, and the chicken was DRY, «pickled» daikon and carrots were just soaked in vinegar! SOAKTHEMINSUGARANDVINEGAR!!! AHHH!!! –1 star I can NOT tolerate such BS prices for SHITFOODANDSERVICE! This business is NOT authentic at all! I can’t believe people would spend over $ 25 here for a meal that won’t even fill you up! Overall, the service here sucks! Hostess gave me attitude as I walked in, and when I asked for the wait time, she gave me an answer, and NEVER apologized for her mistake on guesstimating the wait time. RUDE! –Got my order wrong. –Food tastes gross. –No quality control. –Service is BULL! Deserve NOSTARS! Bye.

After a day of rain & lots of shopping I decided to stop by and get some phở. Overall service was quick & friendly. I ordered the Phở Ga(chicken phở) & Vietnamese iced coffee with a side of the spring rolls, spring rolls were very bland. The phở was delicious, the bowls are pretty big. I ended up spending around $ 20 for the meal, a little pricier than most phở places I’ve been to. Xo, Naomi
