JEI Learning Center Floral Park

For nine months, my daughter (now in 2^nd grade) has been going to JEI Learning Center Floral Park and attends the Reading Writing Workshop class. She comes 90 minutes each week. Prior to going here, the results of her writing on her report card were below average. The feedback I received at Parent Teacher conference was that she was unable to express her thoughts with focus and organization. Of course I expected the teacher to help with this but given that the class size is 30+ it would be impossible for her to get enough attention from the teach to address. We started in Winter 2015 and continued into the Summer Academy program. Discovering JEI Learning Center has helped her build her writing skills over time. Both of our confidence levels have increased while taking part in this program, and we are seeing progress as well as positive results on her Report Card. I noticed that my daughter has been doing more writing, and she has been reading more than I would have expected. She enjoys the colorful workbooks, the relationships that she has made with the teachers, and the encouragement that the teachers provide to her which has been tremendous for her confidence and she’s focused to get her work done. A child won’t want to do this all the time, but the staff pushes and motivates both the students and the parents. What I really appreciate about the staff is they are very transparent with you with respect to how she she is doing. We received written progress report and specific notes on what she was strong in and where she needed to improve on. The staff goes beyond their point to make sure the students understand what they are being taught and also makes sure that it is applicable to the Common Core work they are learning in the classrooms.

My daughter really needed help in math and science. She was having a hard time this year in 8^th grade honors class and her grades were falling. She started tutoring in March. Jei helped her raise her grades and her confidence. she was able to take her science regents and her grade was an 88, which is amazingly good. Thank you JEI for helping my daughter.

We recently completed a full school year at JEI Learning Center Floral Park Little Neck and we are very happy with the results. I put my boy, 2^nd Grader into the program for English, Math and Problem Solving Math.
My son in his 2^nd grade, the rigor of the school work started to get him anxious, I did some research on learning places that could help him out. We visited the Kumon, and other local learning centers but we weren’t happy with the setup, they did not have much teacher interaction, classrooms were 10+ kids in a class, yet with medical office-​like setup (carpeted floors, dim lighting).
So happy that we finally discovered the JEI Floral Park next to the Glen Oaks public library. This learning center is newly renovated, organized, colorful and bright. It was what we were looking for! The Director and Staff had really gave us personal attention. We came in, took the diagnostic test, got our results and signed up, What caught our attention for JEI Floral Park pay attention to every kid in the classroom, each class room has no more than 5 kids.
The results were great! for about only 3 months my 2^nd graders’ scores were improving and I even got a note from the teacher complimenting his writing has improved and Math scores are 100. WHOA! The teacher asked what I was doing to help him. I think the conditioning, practice on Math and English, attention from the instructors at JEI to help him understand the material as well as call out any careless mistakes helped.
Right now, We just signed up for summer half-​day camp starts in June 28^th. We are really excited about it!

Nothing better than seeing two of my favorite nieces smiling and loving to learn as much as they do.
My two nieces (in 1^st and 3^rd grades) have been attending JEI Learning Center Floral Park Little Neck every Saturday since opening in September.
They really love going to the center and that’s surprising because really, what kid likes going to school overtime. I think they are very much drawn to the program because the workbooks are in color, they have a nice format, and the questions are engaging. At least according to them.
My sister got wind of them through a promotional flyer and actually got a $ 100 discount off a 5 month package. I think they have other promotions via other social media sites. We heard about them coming to this neighborhood through a promotion flyer.
My nieces math skills needed a bit of help and the classes they took really helped. I noticed this from all the word problems I give them. The kids take 2 subjects (Math and ELA). Teachers work with them on a 1:1 basis to ensure they are absorbing the concepts.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I can see the amount of time and care they put into each child to ensure things are understood. The center is bright and renovated pretty nice. I always feel positive energy there.
A definite recommend for any parent.
