Papa Saverio’s

Order delivery here all the time and the food is always good, hot and on time. Delivery guys are nice too. I recommend the steak sandwich as long as you have A-​1 in the fridge.

I placed an order for a 16″ Thin Crust w a 2 liter with the use of the coupon for 15.99. First off, the driver called when he arrived and he was extremely rude and inconsiderate on the phone. Also when I walked down to get my food he was holing the pizza sideways and the bag the 2 liter had come in had a huge hole in it with the bottle sticking out. I had greeted the driver nicely and respectfully, tipped him $ 7 just to get an attitude, my receipt thrown at me and my food all messed up. When I opened the pizza box all my toppings and cheese had leaked to one side of the box. I called the store after noticing this, the manager had told me he would credit me the same order onto my account for the mishaps, now I call the store and get told that I have no credit and when I explained the situation the guy had giggled and said there’s nothing he can do about it since there was no note on file. The good food isn’t worth the terrible service. Never again.

One star only because zero isn’t an option. If you value your time and your sanity choose another pizza restaurant to order from.
Truly epic in their tone-​deaf responses to a series of screw ups that began with an incomplete order showing up 80 mins after order placement, progressed through a series of mind-​blowing interactions with a driver and dispatcher who each blamed the other for their failures to deliver the missing items until 2h 40 mins after the order was first placed.
After 4 phone calls and almost 3 hours I made it explicitly clear that they should rebate our order charge entirely if they hoped to keep our business. They declined. When all was said and done their idea of a concession was a «free desert» (AKA a shrink-​wrapped hard brown cake-​like object that I said I didn’t want) and a $ 7 credit on a future order.
I can say with certainty that they need not worry about the $ 7 credit, since this one is on me. They probably should consider the cost of creating a detractor that would spend 15 mins to sign up for a Unilocal account just to share this here and elsewhere. Compared to a $ 35 void on $ 20 worth of food that’s a high price to pay– especially for a small chain looking for franchisees.

Their service and quality have gone down hill. I will never order from them again as they consistently screw up ordered and the food is below average now.

What a terrible experience for a Friday night! We ordered a pizza for delivery. When talking with the lady on the phone, I explained that we moved. After ordering and before we hung up, I confirmed with her that they were going to deliver to the right address. Over an hour later, they delivered the pizza to the old address. Even after that confirmation. The address they delivered to was my parents, and my parents said the pizza was cold. I will never order from here again.

Awesome pizza and good price and very friendly staff, highly recommended try the pan pizza.

Ordered chicken Caesar salads – delivery. We received 3 garden looking salads… romaine with tons of green peppers and tomatoes. Caesar dressing in a packet and grilled chicken in foil to keep warm. We called and were told this was their version of a chicken Caesar salad. Anyone who has ever had a chicken Caesar salad knows it does not come with tomatoes and green peppers. Very disappointing.

The thin crust pizza is not thin and it is not thick therefore it underwhelms in any category.
Generous amounts of cheese and other toppings but the bacon tastes fake — like it is half Bacos (artificial bacon topping) and maybe half real bacon — too smokey but in a bad way.
The tomato sauce on the pizza needs a little pore sweetness.
The pepperoni was fine.
It’s the crust that really is all wrong. Doughy, bready — cardboard like.

When this place actually reads instructions on how to make a pizza and doesn’t half ass it, I’d give them 4 ½ stars. Unfortunately they are so ridiculously inconsistent, I couldn’t even recommend them. So much potential, but complete idiots making the pizza. I always order extra thin bc their «thin» is like a cardboard frisbee. When they actually do extra thin, it’s awesome. However, when they are too lazy to put the rolling pin on there a few extra times, it tastes like a piece of thick cardboard. I’ve ordered from this place, at the minimum, 10x. ⁴⁄₁₀ the pizza is NOT how I ordered. I’ve called, and told them how much I really like them, but that it wasn’t what I ordered. They apologize and the same thing happens again. I don’t wantva discount, refund or anything. Just make the pizza how I order it. Is that difficult?

I ordered here after having had a bad experience before. I thought I’d give them another try which was a mistake. The pizza is just not that tasty and is usually on the cold side when it arrives. The driver called and demanded I come outside because she didnt want to come up. Never again.

First off I ordered their Spicy Beef Sandwich and it was… OMG. Delish! I ordered the Marinara on the side because I wasn’t sure I’d like it but it was so rich and flavorful I could tell it was house made and very delicious. Then I ordered from there again and had their Chicken Parmigiana with Spaghetti. Another winner. It was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. Steaming hot for Jan delivery. I don’t think I’ve ever had delivery this good. Glad to give them my business!

We recently had Saverio’s cater a family event. Food was delivered on time, delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced.
We get takeout from here a few times a month, and everything is always great. No idea why anyone would complain. We love it!

Ordered take out. Order taker and delivery was fine.
Boneless wings — blah. Could have bought better ones in the frozen aisle.
Pizza — also bland. Tasted much better reheated from the microwave.
Verdict: unless this place is right across the street, don’t waste your money.

spaghetti is a little watery.
the salad has water at the bottom of the dish.
maybe they should make sure the lettuce is dry before putting together the salad.
water does not taste good with salad dressing.
this pizza place has gone from high on my list to medium/​low.
a backup pizza joint.

Awesome pizza, horrible service… but I’ll take the awesome pizza and Saverio’s grinder because it is a carry out haven (no table service). Service was handled by a less than work-​ethic taught high schooler who will make some man miserable for the rest of his life but hey, its only carry out and I’ll be back many times!

After growing bored with all the other pizza options in the Glen Ellyn area, we decided to try Papa Saverio’s the other night. Even with a coupon, the entire order ended up costing quite a bit for what we got. In addition, the pizza was really mediocre and bland. They put a ton of cheese on it that is really rubbery and chewy… so much that you can barely taste anything else on the pizza. The pineapple we ordered as a topping was not the right freshness and had little or no taste whatsoever. Normally, my family devours delivered pizzas. On this occasion, there were a ton of leftovers. Nobody really liked it enough to eat more than a couple of pieces.

We used to live next door to a Rosati’s, so that’s pretty much all we ordered… but we moved and decided to branch out and try a different pizza place. Overall I think Papa Saverios thin crust is comparable to Rosatis — it’s not the most amazing food ever, but it meets expectations.
AND the best part is that they have artichoke hearts as a topping, and they have stuffed pizza… Canadian bacon + Artichoke hearts = amazing

After a few months off from Papa Sav’s, I decided to give it another try. Got the Saverio’s Stuffed Cheese. Very good. Really Really Cheesy!
Sauce is a little sweet for me, but I ate 4 huge pieces from the Large, and boy was I stuffed.
I would also suggest their Chicago Deep Dish. This place is solid, but I don’t go unless there are coupons in the mail.
If you are a cheese fan, go get you some Saverios!

We’ve gotten take-​out from Papa Saverio’s a few times and never found much to complain about. So I’m shocked to see such dismal reviews!
The pizza is too cheesy for my tastes, that’s true. And the pasta is nothing to write home to Italy about. But the guy at the register has always been friendly and the wait times are never too long. They also have burgers and sandwiches, so you’ve got options. Solid three stars, Glen Ellynites.
