Incompetent, mean, abusive, and racist! These are all thing we’ve heard coming from the employees before turning tail and getting out of dodge. From the past experience the food is nothing special, actually it is a step below that.

Figured Jersey Mike’s was no different than any other sub shop, and since I like Jimmy Johns, I never went there. After several bad experiences at Jimmy Johns in Elmhurst, I figured I would try this place out… HOLYHELL!!! This place is AWESOME!!! They have hot and cold subs, multiple bread options, they slice the meat in front of you, their toppings taste very fresh, they ALL greet you when you walk in… the exact opposite of my experience with Jimmy Johns in Elmhurst. I ask a guy behind the counter if I dont want to mix swine with my turkey can they clean the slicer before they slice my meat… HOLYHELLAGAIN!!! He said I have two slicers, I can either clean that slicer or use the other slicer, either way we will make sure there is no swine in your sandwich as long as you request it and if anyone gives you a hard time which they wont, just let me know… Anyhow, I order a cheese steak sandwich… sooooooo good! I go back a few days later and the same guy is there. I order a turkey sub and before I say anything, he says I will use the other slicer… WHAT??? This guy sees 100 customers a day and remembered me and my question from a few days ago the only time he has ever met me… Now that is customer service!!! I have been back a few times and thanks to the poor service at Jimmy Johns on North avenue in Elmhurst, I discovered an awesome sub shop that puts JJ’s to shame! This is the second time in a month that poor customer service at one place drove to try out another one… leading me to two diamonds in the rough. I am so angry that I missed out on all those years of Jersey Mikes!!!

This review is long overdue. I came here a couple weeks ago after my mom and I got our nails done next door. I got a mini sub that has pepperoni and provolone in it. I forgot what it’s called. You can put whatever topping on it kind of like subway. I guy in another review said that it’s better than Jimmy Johns and I have to agree entirely. I mean the food is amazing and the meat and veggies taste fresh and top of the line to mean. The service was awesome and helped with any questions and since it was my first time I got a free cookie. Also the mini filled me up pretty good as well. Would def recommend to anyone.

I had seen Jersey Mike locations around before, not really thinking much of them. I thought they were just your typical Jimmy John knock-off and would taste sub-par. I can say today, Jersey Mikes is better than Jimmy Johns. There… I said it. Mike’s Way is the only way to get your sub done and I haven’t tasted anything bad on the menu yet. The meat is fresher, the bread feels better and the sandwich is 2x the size of what you get with JJ. I am sold and I think you all should give it a shot also.

Stopped there by on a whim to get lunch for today. The sub was amazing. Tonight I picked up another italian and a reuben… reuben was amazing as well. Service is top notch and very friendly as well.

I typically go to this location at least once a week during my hour lunch break. Today I stopped in for my regular sandwich and waited for almost 20 minutes as the 3 men behind me were served their sandwiches first. This is extremely disappointing and there’s literally no reason why I was forced to wait and watch as the two men behind me were given their more complicated order before my order was even put on the grill. Now I’ve got 10 minutes to eat my lunch as I had to drive back to my work place. I’ll not be returning to this location again

My favorite Jersey Mike’s and my absolute favorite sub shop — won’t eat any other sub sandwich after eating at Jersey Mike’s. However, this location is the best as the employees, including two managers are awesome — always friendly — always make me feel like a valued customer — and always make me want to return. The quality and quantity of the cold cuts is beyond compare. I always tell them to cut the Italian sub in half-as I hope to only eat half of it at a time — as size and amount of meat is very adequate; however, the sandwich is so delicious that I can’t just eat ½ of it! I believe the managers’ names are Bruce and Jimmy? They are just awesome and other persons worth mentioning are Erin and a young man that I know is very dedicated in spite of having a very long commute to the store — my apologies for forgetting his name. I think the store will know who I am talking about!

Fair sub with a tasty soup, but some efficiency needed! I ordered the mini and cup of soup combo: Roast Beef and a spicy chicken — I don’t remember the name. My sandwich took a bit to make, it seemed likely due to a small phone order(maybe 4 sandwiches) ahead of me. They were making all the sandwiches at once instead of making the sandwiches for person 1, then 2, then 3. I had to try to pay at the same time I was trying to tell the sandwich maker what I wanted. VERY uncomfortable with 6+ people waiting with all sandwiches sitting out half made. The sandwich was OK. Definitely«mini» as it was tiny with a thin layer of meat. I’d probably suggest not doing this combo and ordering the regular as the other sandwiches seemed larger both in length and amount of meat. The soup was just warm, at best. I did take it ‘to go’, but was eating it at work within 5 minutes and it was just warm — nothing a microwave couldn’t fix, but I shouldn’t have to do that. The flavor was good, and fairly spicy. It would also be good to put these items in one bag. I was carrying the soup and sandwich to my car separately, which wasn’t too bad, but then had to juggle two more items from my car to work. A bag would have been good to offer, and I should have asked for it along with a spoon for the soup. Overall, a fair meal. Not a treat or pleasant, but functional and at a fair price.

Followed directions given to us by Siri on our Iphone & ended up anywhere but Jersey mikes. Called JM and the very helpful & detailed girl gave us easy directions from where we were since we werent from the area Our sandwiches were on point like always. Loved my club sub with its juices & spices. Hubby had the chicken club sandwich and he loved it too. Though we may never be back to this area again we highly recommend finding this Jersey Mikes Thank you

Service slow, the girl making the sandwiches was also helping the guy figure out the cash register. At lunch time, manager needs to have good coverage at lunch took 20 minutes to get one sandwich. Was never like this before, and credit card machine didn’t work as well

I ordered on the phone and my sub was ready by the time I got there. The man on the phone was super nice. He also warned me that Google Maps will not take you to their location– it is by a Chase and across from a Trader Joe’s. I got the usual Chipotle Cheesesteak– my fave! My husband gets the Kahuna Cheese Steak sometimes… I think he said it was okay but he may have mentioned he likes the Chipotle Cheesesteak better though.

We have ordered business lunches from this location a couple times and so far everyone has been happy. We called ahead to give them time, but all the sandwiches tasted very fresh. Order was ready right on time! Talked with Jimmy and Scott who were both very friendly and fun. will definitely order again!

Clean Jersey Mike’s location. Part of a strip mall. Ample parking. Large interior. Plenty of seats. Friendly employees. If I wasn’t just diagnosed with Gluten intolerance I would be back. Guess I could always get a sub in a tub. Or, maybe they will start making a gluten free wrap? When that day comes I will definitely return!

I want to start out by saying that Jersey Mike’s displays the customer service that every restaurant should have. I find it amazing that every time we go here, not only is the food great, but every smiling employee seems to love working for this company. Every customer that walked in was greeted and thanked when leaving. When there was downtime, the staff was cleaning and making sure everything was how it should be; even making small talk with us while we were eating. With that being said, their soups and sandwiches are delicious! It’s not like a typical sub shop, where everything is pre-made. They slice the meat fresh when you order and employees can be seeing prepping food, ensuring that it is fresh. The original Italian is my go-to, but the chipotle steak sandwich was cheesy and melty-perfect and had more than enough meat. Jersey Mike’s is definitely a good place to have a quick lunch and has great customer service!

a very decent cheese steak, especially for suburban Chicago. nothing can top romano’s in Essington, pa., but this is a pretty good facsimile-the best I’ve had outside of philly. if only the cashier hadn’t handed my my cup with her fingers inside the rim, on my last visit, i’d be happier.

This Jersey Mike’s Subs opened this summer near the Chase bank on Roosevelt in Glen Ellyn. A couple of co-workers and I decided to give it a try. We were cheerfully greeted when we walked in the door and asked if it was our first time there. They enthusistically explained the menu options. I ordered the Original Italian which is your standard Italian sub drizzled with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Jersey Mike’s is different than most chain sub shops in that they slice your cold cuts when you order your sandwich. They bake bread on the premises and while the bread is not as good as a Gonnella or D’Amatos it IS much better than Subway’s offerings. As a matter of fact, Subway isn’t even in the same league as JM. Jersey Mike’s has a superior product. While finishing our meal, the owner stopped by and asked us how we liked our sandwiches and chatted a bit with us. He gave each of us a coupon for chips & a drink with our next sub order. I thought that was a neat touch. Frankly, I would come back even if I didn’t have a coupon. Although JM will need to work hard to top the independent sub purveyors(like Mario’s or Serino’s) I give them the nod over all of the other sub franchises. A good solid sub.
