If you are visiting, it is a Great place to pick up souvenirs for people back home. Quality products, not the usual junk meant for just tourists. I am a chef and go to the Bay Area often. It is rare, that I find something to bring back to Honolulu for my foodie friends that showcase the place in an authentic way. The wine flavored chocolates are interesting(the port flavor is the best — well balanced), the ones with honey seriously kick butt, and the more homey flavors like lemon tart and peanut butter and jelly remind me that, although Sonoma is a premier wine growing area, it is still the country. The chocolates are beautifully presented and make a very nice gift box. But take my advice and get some for yourself too! I just discovered them a few weeks ago, but they will definitely be on my «must go to» list on future trips. Also, the sales lady is very nice and helpful… bonus!

Fabulous Chocolate. I stop by here every time I’m in the area. I’ve had chocolates from other local artisans and it hasn’t come close to what Wine Country Chocolates sells. They always have a sample of truffle filings to try and sell truffles, bars, sugar free options, and other candies. It’s pricey, but reasonable for the fantastic quality. If you’re a fan of marzipan, they have a nice marzipan bar.

These are the freshest and some of the best chocolates that I have ever tasted. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. We come about once a quarter to indulge our craving.

Support your local chocolatier. The Wine Country is a chocolate hub of sorts– after all, it’s a heavenly pairing, and theobroma does mean«food of the gods.» Wine Country Chocolates has an open kitchen/factory of sorts, so one can watch the magic being made. They make a sweet ganache. You can try intensifying flavored chocolate drops, along with the ganache of the day. It’s sweet!

Wow. SO fantastic. Too hot to go wine tasting so we opted for chocolate instead. The caramel de sel was excellent and the chocolate covered orange peel bar was to die for. Very friendly service to boot! One big YUM.

This little spot in Glen Ellen makes the best chocolate ever. Today I and a friend drove up to Glen Ellen and I stopped off at Jack London Village were the shop is. This is the shop were the chocolates and other delicious treats are made. Today I had the chocolate covered figs. Oh, what a delicious combination. So used to fig cookies, such as fig Newtons, but to have fig and fine chocolate, very unique. The surroundings and the drive to beautiful and quaint Glen Ellen ad to the experience. I recommend it to all chocolate fans.

Friendly people and delicious chocolates! There is a big selection of truffles. My favorites are the dark chocolate filled with different types of wine ganache. It is a nice treat for yourself or a great host gift for a party.

wine… country…chocolates. Just say it over again in your head. Now, imagine what they could POSSIBLY mean… Now go there and realize that you couldn’t have possibly imagined it as good as it actually is. They have chocolates infused with different wine varietals(oh, duh… that’s an easy one…). They also have delicious ganache flavors, beautiful truffles that make you into a crazy kid poking at the glass because you want to try it. I just realized that as i’m sitting here writing my review I am actually salivating. Seriously…just go and taste for yourself.

Stop in and try samples of their daily ganache — when we stopped, an orange infused ganache rocked our world. Price per chocolate is $ 2 per piece… a bit pricey but good.

I drive to Wine Country Chocolate specifically for their Rocky Road. It’s to die for! The Rocky Road is made with dark chocolate and it’s smothered with caramel. There is a window where you can watch them making chocolate. Plus they have free samples!

Well I am a proud chocolate-holic. When we were leaving our hotel in Glen Ellen(Olea Hotel) and heading south on Arnold Dr. my eye caught this sign CHOCOLATETASTING !! Now we’re talking… forget wine tasting… chocolate tasting is right up my alley. Screeeeech, back up, and park. My heart started to race just entering the shop… and the yummy smell of fresh chocolate didn’t help slow it down any. There was a nice young gentlemen that gladly told us all about how they made chocolate. The ganache of the day was chocolate/raspberry and delicious it was. I ended up buying a box of 12 and I had the hardest time trying to pick JUST12. I have to say that all my 12 choices were spot on. We had the chocolate/raspberry, chocolate/apricot, chocolate/mint, chocolate/mocha and my husband ordered«The Elvis». I notice on the card that came in the box of delights, says they have a Truffle Club… oh what trouble I could get into :)

They had a REALLY yummy Cinnamon with Honey chocolate piece that I loved :)! We also brought some souvenirs home for our friends who seemed to really like the chocolate figs and marshmallow/nut/chocolate. I would go there again!

On our way to one of the wineries up in Glen Ellen from Sonoma, we made a pit stop to Wine Country Chocolates. It’s a very small store with only one person working-meaning, she was making the chocolates in the back, as well as dealing with customers. Props to you chica! As we walked in, we were offered a sample of the Cabernet chocolate. And just the sample of the chocolate prompted me to buy a few boxes of chocolates to bring back home for friends, because it was so decadent. They’re a little pricey, but for what you’re getting, it’s definitely worth the price because they’re really good chocolates! I’ll tell you, my friends loved the souveneirs they received from California when I returned home, especially these chocolates!

Expensive but very creative and tasty chocolates. I like! :) They have something for everyone… like chocolate covered ginger, wine flavored truffles, and more. Plus, its right by a few wineries, one of which has lots of dessert wines. Are you thinking what I’m thinking??? ;) Yum!

When you tire of drinking wine all day, this place is a breath of fresh chocolate. The couple who own it are hilarious and make some damn, killer, handmade goodies. Crack-like, almost. But entirely legal.

Jack London village is a quaint and wonderful place to go. Stopping at this little shop was worth the visit. We were greeted by a friendly woman who instantly handed us a spoon with a sample of the most wonderful dark chocolate truffle. Since it was December, I needed a Hannukah gift for a friend and this was perfect. I bought not one but two boxes of truffles — had to get one for myself as well. The hard part was picking out the truffles: rasberry, orange, wine infused, coffee, so many to choose from it was hard to decide. This is a great stop between wine tastings.

Chocolate so good it’ll reduce you to a babbling idiot. It takes a lot of self control to only walk away with one or two. Cute shop, beautiful, tasty chocolates, and sweet, friendly, talkative people tending the shop. It’s a tiny bit pricey, but that’s not unexpected or out of line for a boutique chocolatier.

Wine Country Chocolates filled a huge order for our wedding FAST and with the best tasting chocolates I’ve ever had. Their shops are a beautiful and delicious addition to Sonoma and Glen Ellen. If you only have time to make one stop in the Wine Country, you can’t pass by this chocolate miracle factory. Betty Kelly is a master at her craft, from overwhelming sweetness to subtle vintner specific truffles, every chocolate is rewarding … and surprisingly affordable hand crafted sweetness! Yes, we’ll be back again and again, thanks for the samples — especially the tiramisu! — and making our wedding that much sweeter.

The place to be for Chocolate Tasting … I don’t need to say more about this place because Kerry K. described it with eloquence. Besides their website sums it up… You can bring your own wine to go with the chocolate(s) you pick. I like my chocolate with more percentage of cacao… YUM P.S. Eat your heart out Kris H. =) Oh yeah… one more thing. They also have a small tasting place by Sonoma Plaza… been there too!
