The company failed to provide 12 doves, as promised, on such an important and solemn occasion for my family, the interment of a dear patriarchal figure. Without so much as a phone call warning of any inability to make an appearance and procure the precious birds prior to the event, notice was only given midway into the services after a call was made on our end questioning the absence of any representatives from Doves Aflight. No compensation was even offered for the inconvenience. «0» stars would be a more accurate rating for this establishment. Very unprofessional and poorly managed.

I made arrangements with Dave from Doves Aflight to release doves at a funeral early in the week. As the day drew closer I wondered why he didn’t contact me to touch base and reconfirm our appointment. On the morning of, my husband attempted to contact them. He didn’t receive a call back until halfway through the funeral mass. It wasn’t until I was getting back into the limo to drive to the burial site did I find out Dave couldn’t make it and didn’t have a back up plan to keep his appointment with me. If he had to change his schedule around, fine. But, at least touch base with the clients you had arrangements with and try to put someone in your place to keep your appointments. Very unprofessional and irresponsible. Don’t fall for the cheaper rates. There’s a reason they’re cheaper. It should have tipped me off when he said they don’t take deposits. At the time, I thought that was great, just pay him on the site. In retrospect, there was nothing tying him to keep his arrangement with me.

A family member’s funeral was this week. After many years he has finally joined the love of his life, his wife. When they were married they released doves together and my aunt came up with the beautiful idea of releasing doves for them at the funeral. It was something special his children and grandchildren could do for him. My uncle called early that morning to make sure the doves would be there in time for the release. Unfortunately, he did not receive a call back until we left the church and were on the way to the cemetery, which was a few hours later. On top of that all my uncle got from them was that someone«would most likely not be there.» They couldn’t even give a straight answer or explanation of why they wouldn’t be able to make it. Horrible service and on such an important occasion.

As we lost my mother in law in early October, me & my sister(in law) decided that a dove release would be such a great closure for my boyfriend. We started searching on line, came across Doves Aflight website. We gave them a call, the gentleman was fast to get back to my sister for this inquiry. he was very helpful and prompt when he confirmed time. As we prepared for the release, he went over the process, we moved into an open location outside of the Skyview Memorial in Vallejo, Ca. We then stood side by side and on our count we released. it was such a great and beautiful experience. watching the 4 doves flying around together then away. i will never forget this experience. the gentleman was very nice, and talked to us about his business. :) see photos from our event.

We did a dove release at our wedding on June 25th at Hoffman Ranch for the people that have passed away in our lives. Wow! This was a beautiful experience and the releaser was very nicely dressed and presented himself well. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd. The only criticism that I do have and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the guy took FOREVER to get back to me. I found out that his intentions weren’t to return my calls and emails because I only wanted to have two doves instead of twelve. I almost said never mind and then my Husband wanted to do this so bad, we gave in and did the 12. Dustin & Deanna Reade

I gave 4 stars for their customer service. Although it took a while for the owner to get back to some of my emails, he is very nice and professional. I changed my mind about getting doves for my wedding and the owner promptly gave me my deposit back. You can rest assured that you’re dealing with trust-worthy people.
