I like their wine, and their olive oils are presumably tasty too — my parents really like their lemon olive oil. With that said, I just purchased 15 bottles of olive oil as gifts. I didn’t want to pay for shipping, so I sent B.R. Cohn an e-mail inquiry asking them to send me a list of resellers in my area. A B.R. Cohn associate e-mailed me back quickly, suggesting that I should just drive up to their location & pick up a case in-person…but this option was not feasible for me. In the end, she never gave me a list of their resellers. I ended up purchasing through their online store, paying about $ 200 in total. I’m surprised they don’t offer free shipping on large orders & I’m still bitter that I wasn’t able to purchase the bottles from a retail store close by.

I visited for the first time 15 years ago. The place has grown and not necessarily for the better. The olive oil is now sold and sampled in a separate«Gourmet Shop» adjacent to the expanded wine tasting room. They’ve added a bunch of stuff to their inventory, 99% of which is made elsewhere and sometimes not even in Sonoma. What’s the point? Their estate olive oil is still pretty good. Everything else, especially all the flavored oils and vinegars, is average to below. My wife summed it up perfectly when she said, «The wine was better than I remember and the olive oil was worse.»
