My dogs and other pets were long time patients of Dr. Kolbert when we lived on Long Island. At one time we had three dogs, a guinea pig, two parakeets, and frogs. We took all of them to him.
We moved to California and were back visiting in January 2016. My current dog who has many health concerns including deafness, failing eye sight and IBS. woke up crying and holding his paw up. I immediately called Dr. Kolbert’s office to bring him in. He was in a lot of pain. The woman I spoke to told me that he was booked and that I could have a 6:45 appointment.
It was 9:30 in the morning! I explained that he was in pain and that we had been patients previously. She told me to give him Tylenol and asked me how much he weighs. I explained to her that he is on many different medications and that there might be an interaction.
I asked once again if he could be squeezed in, if she could please talk to Dr. Kolbert. She said once again he was booked.
I wound up taking him to Green Forest and they were wonderful. They told me to come right over accessed him and gave him a diagnosis and pain medication.
BTW — Dr. Kolbert removed kidney stones from my chocolate lab when I lived on Long Island and other vets commented to me on what a horrible scar she had. Which was noticeable to me as a non professional.

What angels Dr. Kolbert and Anna are. Today we rescued a small baby finch that fell into the wall of our home. It took 3 holes in the wall to get it out. My cats, also Dr. Kolbert’s clients, were ready to feast. We put the little bird in a transport cage and I called Dr. Kolbert’s office. I needed Dr. Kolbert to advise me as to the health of this little one and how to take care of it. He went the extra mile, as usual, Anna and Dr. Kolbert took this little bird in and will help him to mature and then reintroduce him back into nature when the time is right. God bless both of you, Dr. Kolbert and Anna. You are animal saints. I have owned pets for all of my life… dogs, cats and parakeets, I have had Vet relations with many Vets over the years but Dr. Kolbert is A+ at the top of the list. Trust your pets to him! and your peace of mind!

This was an extremely pleasant experience for both me and my dog. Dr. Kolbert is caring and honest, two qualities that make him an excellent veterinarian. I was able to schedule my dogs dental with no issues and staff was friendly and called immediately when she was ready. Highly recommended!

Dr. Kolbert has saved my old pup’s life more than once. He is responsive, he personally calls you back quickly with any questions or concerns you may have and he provides amazing care. I don’t know what I would do without him, his wife, Laurie and Kim!

I have used Dr. Kolbert for several years now, he is very honest and kind. My one cat was acting strange and I knew something was not right. I brought him to see Dr. Kolbert and instead of running a lot of costly tests, he prescribed an antibiotic and said if that didn’t work then he would start running tests. The antibiotic worked and he is now fine. Thank you Dr. and Mrs. Kolbert for all your wonderful services!
